Keystone Home Inspections by Perry Lemay

My husband and I purchased our first home about 2 years ago and used Perry’s services. The first house we came close to buying was a disaster. Perry showed us many things such as major structural problems, black mold, rotten woodwork, asbestos shingles and more (yes, more!) that we just didn’t notice as first time buyers. The radon test came back positive as well. After some deliberation we ended up walking away from the property (THANK GOODNESS). If it wasn’t for Perry’s expertise, we would have ended up with way more on our plate than I ever would have wanted, especially for our first investment.
It was because of his detail oriented work with our first inspection that we had him inspect our current home. It was great knowing we could trust him and that he would do a great job checking everything out. Thankfully our second inspection went great and we bought our home! He was so happy for us that we found our current home as well and said it had great bones for us. I still have the report he wrote out that includes photos of anything he finds that you need/​may want to fix, which is helpful for those project later in time. I am so thankful for his services and I would recommend him to anyone buying their first or fifth home. His pricing is very fair as well and he was on time, if not a little early, and prepared for anything.

This was my first time buying a house so I really needed a lot of education on what to look for and how things work in a house. Perry took a lot of time to explain things to me and he made sure to get my attention to show me anything that he found to be important.

Perry conducted a thorough home inspection with us. He explained every detail to us as he walked through the house with us. He was willing to go to the home and place the radon meter beforehand in order to be able to include the results with our general report. He was able to work with our busy schedule and met with us early on a Saturday morning, which we really appreciated. Dolly (his wife) helped me immensely while scheduling the appointment and even set up our septic inspection for the same time! This was very convenient for me. She was willing and able to answer all questions I had and even accommodated me having to reschedule the appointment somewhat last minute.
All in all, my husband and I are very happy with his expertise and knowledge and think we have a good understanding of what we will be facing when living in our new home!

Recently purchased a house, Perry pointed out some minor things but nothing we hadn’t really noticed on our own doing our walk through. The inspection report was rather bland and he failed to point out that our air conditioner didn’t work. Costing us several hundred dollars after closing to have repaired.
