Grub

I have not had a bad meal here yet! Staff is professional and efficient. Food always has great flavor and is fresh. I have tried the half chicken, BLT, crispy chicken sandwich, buffalo chicken sandwich, and a few others. All very good. Homemade Mac-​n-​Cheese is a must. Green beans and red potatoe salad are also very good.

Grub is one of my favorite much spots near Tinker AFB. The location of Grub is in a perfect location for anyone to get to. The only major problem is parking because the lot is shared with other businesses. On that note, Grub is a very busy place to eat as well. The line can get very long the closer you get to the noon hour. However, they are very fast at getting your food out. The whole restaurant is very open. You can see the chefs preparing your food while you wait.
The food is very good here. I have tried several different dishes here over the last year. My favorite day to come is Tuesday when they have their special an Avocado BLT. The Avocado and the bacon on this sandwich are what makes it so good. You get a side with the special and I always get their side salad which creates the perfect pairing.
Once you have ordered your food from the counter, you then pick your seat in the restaurant. One thing I find a little different about this place is they do not keep the salt and pepper or other condiments no the tables. Anything you may need is up at the drink station area and is available for you to take back to your seat. The one good thing though is you do not need to pick up your dishes once your done eating like at similar restaurants in area.
I highly recommend trying this place when you are in the Del City area around lunch time.

I went back on 16 June, and requested the chicken salad sandwich again. (Lol)
Actually upon request they WILL toast the croissant for you! I asked if I could get my croissant toasted, and to my surprise the nice lady at the register said yes.
They ran out of there cole slaw, so I elected for there salad for the first time.

I don’t eat beef or pork, so I was unaware that it came with bacon. The menu doesn’t «highlight» that. When I got back to work, I just gave it to my co-​worker. He ate it.
Will return!

I don’t eat fast food I prefer restaurants such as the grub for lunch. It was one the best food places around. Everything was fresh I used to go here all the time for about a year, I would tell friends about this place. They made the best mac & cheese I ever tasted and the chicken sandwich was perfect. I don’t know what changed I know there’s different cooks there. My last chicken sandwich was pink and cold in the center she took it back refund me and they made me a new sandwich. Three weeks later I go back again for another chicken sandwich and mac & cheese. The chicken sandwich is no longer a full-​size chicken breast, it is now a thinly sliced piece of chicken. About 2 baloney slices thick, covered in a really thick breading. The mac & cheese they serve me was dry burnt and was below room temperature. It’s unfortunate when a good eatery starts cutting corners their food turns to crap. Sadly l will no longer be going to this place

This place is amazing. The menu isn’t large, however everything on it is delicious. If you are in the area at lunch time it’s definitely worth stopping by.

Where has this place been? Best southern mac and cheese in town. The crispy chicken was pretty good. But I still can’t get over that mac and cheese. good location for Tinker folks. Short trip from base and one of those restaurant that will be under the radar. Get it, Tinker AWACS, under the radar. Ha.

What a fun place! I really wish they would expand their hours b/​c there are very few times when I can make it in while they’re open.
I can definitely recommend the Big Pig (put coleslaw on it!) and the Chicken Salad Sandwich. I didn’t try them, but I walked by a few of the salads and they were ENORMOUS and looked quite good. I was not impressed by their Mac and Cheese, tho.

Facilities were great– simple, very clean. It was much quieter than a lot of places– some background music, but it is literally just in the background.
Food is pretty darn good. Chicken salad sandwich was pretty good, potato salad is incredible. Bits of bacon, and not all mayo-​esque like so many potato salads. Prices are a little steep– $ 11 and change for salad and side, but so worth it if you are tired of gross fast food that eats away at your insides.

One of the best sandwiches I’ve had. The croissant is huge! I ordered the grub club and it was amazing. The croissant was buttery and flakey. Everything was flavorful. The mac and cheese was a little dry for my taste. Other than that, I’ll definitely be going again!

Prices are great and food is fantastic and fresh. Try roasted chicken and potato salad. I am a big fan. Glad to have an option near Tinker with good food.

Great food, huge portions, and perfectly seasoned chicken. A must try! Last I heard they were talking about expanding their hours, but last time I was there they were still only open for lunch.

This is a fantastic little lunch place – unfortunately they’re closed evenings and weekends. The food is made from scratch and includes roasted and barbecued chicken, sandwiches and salads, plus picnic-​style side dishes. My favorite is the macaroni and cheese, you can tell they just mixed fresh, real cheese (not sauce or *eeek* powder mix!) in with the pasta and that makes all the difference. This is a really nice alternative to all of the lunch chains in the area. Best of all, the kitchen is open and you can see the cleanliness and quality standards, no surprises here! And everyone who works here BUSTS THEIR ASS-​they get BUSY the few hours they are open.

Great place for casual lunches. The Crispy Chicken Sandwich is the best. Fresh, crispy, juicy, & delicious.

OMG. We have a winner. This restaurant is a nice fresh concept to hit the Del City area. I believe this place will be my new favorite and I haven’t even tried the food yet.
First off, the inside is spacious. It’s simple yet very appealing. It’s packed in here. A good mix of locals and Tinker airman.
Everything in this restaurant is made from scratch. You just know that anything you order is going to be outstanding. The place has that kind of vibe.
Upon entry you are greeted by the friendliest of staff who will explain the menu and make recommendations. They have a cool string ordering system and it’s fun to watch them fling the ticket to the chefs.
Confession time. A fellow Unilocaler highly recommended the Potato Salad. I came in with that in mind. Of course they are out. Probably because it’s so good. But it’s ok because I will be back and I’ll order it next time.
Now that I’ve had my meal I’ll tell you I am not disappointed. The chicken salad sandwich and Mac and cheese are wonderful.
Come one and all. You’ll be in for a treat.
OMG, I went up to let the staff how much I appreciated them and guess what. They had made some fresh Potato Salad. They gave me a bowl of it for free and I’m in heaven right now. Confession #2 — -I’m going to get some to go to have with the Pork Chops I’m going to make tonight.

Good service, friendly staff, flavorful chicken, all at a good price. Can’t ask for more. I recommend it if you are ever around, particularly the bbq chicken!

Came here for first time, food was cheap and fast but good. The chicken was seasoned well and the fries were hot. Would def come again.

Takes a lot to get a 5 star in my book, but Grub isn’t too far off. Myself and a couple coworkers came here for lunch and were pleased with the service and food. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the potato salad was one of the best I’ve ever had. Grub has a nice casual, homemade feel to it and is well worth it. We will be frequenting this establishment in the near future. The one thing I noticed was that the crispy chicken sandwich was a little lacking on the honey mustard dressing. That’s more of a personal preference though.

Grub introduced a Saturday brunch menu today. My wife had the chicken and waffles, which combine Grub’s wonderful fried chicken with a made-​from-​scratch, secret-​recipe waffle. It was delicious. I had The Remedy, wherein hash browns, biscuits, sausage, gravy, scrambled eggs, and cheddar cheese are piled together and topped with sausage gravy. It was wonderful and hearty.
Brunch is just as good as the regular offerings… we’ll definitely return.

The grub here was good! Not a lot of variety (mostly chicken dishes), but I would prefer to have a place make few things, but make them well, than something with a lot of options that are all sub par.
One thing I really enjoyed about the GRUB was the location and cleanliness.
Note that at the time of this review they have only been open for 2 months.
But I really enjoy the layout and how open it was.
The food was good too!
Got the roasted chicken and the fried chicken sandwich. The breading on the chicken sandwich stayed crispy even 20 minutes later!
And the roasted chicken was well down and not dry. However it could use a bit of marinade into the inside of the chicken and not just a dry rub on top.
It was really nice that they included drinks with the meal.
Service was good too. I enjoyed the fact that the condiments and to go boxes were self serve-‘making it easy and fast to pack myself up.afterwatds.

Great sandwiches, sides, and I am glad to support a restaurant that tries to use as much local and organic food as possible!
We got the crispy chicken sandwich, the chicken was moist and crispy, and the chicken salad sandwich on a croissant. The chicken salad had spicy pecans and tasted really good and different.
As for sides the red potato salad was AMAZING. The sauce was something I would take a bath in, so creamy and perfectly seasoned. I would eat a bucketful, no joke. The mac and cheese was good, very cheesy, and the hand-​cut fries were solid as well.
Next time I will try one of their salads, definitely will be back!
