If you like turkey and avocado, get the turkado! It was good portioning and a great price. Impressed with the quick and good quality service.

My addiction to Board & Brew began 4 years ago. Ever since, the cravings and withdrawals have mercilessly taken over my life. I remember first feeling apathetic towards the secret sauce, but it quickly grew on me afterwards. I now can’t say enough good things about it. Little tips I wish I discovered earlier: You can switch out the bread type on your sandwich for no charge. And if you like veggies, adding sprouts to the turkado is a game changer(also complimentary).

Got the Baja chicken with sweet and sour sauce and it was really good! Definitely an interesting flavor that I’ve never had before. Ate it next to beach that was walking distance, making it an even better spot to try out. — great sandwich — unique sweet and sour sauce — awesome location next to the beach — fast service Check it out!

When I took my first few bites of the Board & Brew Turkey Club I had a food flashback. I recalled an old sub sandwich joint called SubMarina. Back then, SubMarina offered solid subs that guaranteed to fill to your belly. The Board and Brew version of the Turkey Club is the next level up in both quality and taste. What also makes Board & Brew cool is that their prices are completely reasonable. Will come again! — I used their ChowNow ordering system which was pretty efficient. — The included«Secret Sauce» was a sweet Russian like sauce. Make sure you get it on the side.

You’ve never really had a sandwich until you’ve tried Board & Brew’s along with their delicious and addicting secret sauce! My absolute favorites are the Turkado and the Baja Beef and they never disappoint. The secret sauce has a sweet and sour taste and it is so delicious that they sell the bottles for about 5 $! The spicy/hot sandwiches also come with a side of au jus sauce which is great for dipping as it blends scrumptious flavors of beef, cheese, and onions. This place is definitely a premier staple lunch place, great for all ages especially college students on a budget, and always a treat. Most sandwiches range about 6 – 8 $ and serve alcohol as well.

I’m from San Francisco, and every time I come to San Diego Board & Brew is one of my must-stops! The sandwiches are good, yeah, but what really makes this place next level is their secret sauce to dip your sandwich in. It’s like sweet and sour-esque, but holy crap it is so incredible they even have it for sale in bottles at the counter. Get two sides of it if you love dipping sauces as much as I do! I always get the Turkey Club, but the Turkado seems like the huge favorite around here. They take about 10 – 15 minutes to prepare, so if you’re in a hurry you can always can call in advance. But seriously, get a sandwich and try the sauce. You won’t regret it!

Order the Turkado, you will not regret it! Great location, killer sandwiches, and quick service. 5⁄5 for a sandwich shop, without a doubt! If you are in the San Diego area, I highly recommend a trip to Board & Brew. It is always filled with locals, and the people/staff are very friendly. Also, a side of the Special Sauce is a MUST! It truly completes the sandwich and experience.

Always always always good. One star knocked off cuz their bathrooms smell super bad and stinks up the whole inside. Turkado is always a safe choice. Tried the baja wrap this time it was also good but jalapenos super spicy so watch out. Also tried the chicken club. I say its not their best. Chicken was a bit dry!

Only had a soda and beer. Great customer service and plenty of seating. I did notice many happy people eating sandwiches. Some took the food to go and many stayed and ate there. Good menu, nice selection of sandwiches, chips and drinks.

Board and brew is becoming somewhat of a staple in north San Diego county. This particular location is pretty much the OG in my mind and I used to frequent this place quite often. The location itself is awesome considering the proximity is right in the heart of Del Mar. The establishment itself is your typical surf atmosphere with little to no bells and whistles but an extremely calm laid back beach vibe. The sandwiches are all pretty tasty, turkey deluxe to the turkado. Overall not a bad place to grab a sandwich after ripping a couple of waves out at the water… Pros– Location Laid back vibe Sandwiches Relatively inexpensive Indoor/outdoor seating Italian sauce Cons– Inside is a bit«dated» Average service Can get REALLY crowded Limited parking

You know me. I don’t like sandwiches. If it is a choice between rice and bread or noodles and bread, I choose not bread. But not at B & B. Their chicken ortega sandwich is AMAZEBALLS! Grilled onions and jalapenos with melted pepper jack cheese and grilled chicken breast. YUMMO! They have Ballast Point beer too. And some others like Corona and Pacifico. They have every flavor of potato chip you can imagine. They have a special sauce that they serve free on the side but I am not a fan. It is too on the sweet side. If you are a fan of sandwiches or even if you are not, try this. It is YUM!

Great sandwich place! Ive heard a lot about this place from co-workers, but have not had an opportunity until now to come. Came on a Saturday mid afternoon with my bf. There was a bit of traffic on Camino Del Mar, so we parked on a parallel street. The shop is slightly below street level. Outside in the front there are quite a few tables. Inside and on the patio there are additional places to sit. I ordered the turkey club with chips. The sandwiches came out pretty quickly. Some type of sauce on the side comes with each sandwich. The club had a decent amount of turkey in it. The sandwiches were very filling and really good with fresh ingredients. Being so close to the beach, several people came with surfboards or dogs. The food was great and I would come back, the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because it wasn’t the cleanest place. Bags of chips were still in boxes on the floor and not put away on the racks. Napkins and empty boxes were on the floor. The iced tea ran out, but the empty container just sat there.

Attention all sandwich lovers! If you have never been to board and brew you are missing out. Amazing sandwiches, out of this world special sauce all while providing their customers with great service! Any sandwich you order I guarantee will knock your socks off. Don’t be lame and not put the special sauce all over it either, it makes the sandwich 10x better! My go to whenever I order is the chicken club. The chicken is cooked perfectly and when I add avocado to it, it takes the sandwich over the top. There are multiple locations throughout San Diego however, I prefer this original one in Del Mar. I really do think their sandwiches taste different and better than the other locations. It can get packed on the weekends but they do their best to get the line moving and tables cleaned quickly! Parking can be a hassle sometimes but don’t let it stop you from hitting up one of the best sandwich shops in San Diego!

An easy go-to place for well priced, good size sandwiches. I finally got a chance to check out Board & Brew last Friday for lunch and I’m I did. I did struggle for almost 10 minutes to find a parking spot, but once I ordered, my sandwich came out very very fast. And when you’re starving, there’s nothing better than getting your meal within 5 minutes of ordering. Good job Board & Brew on getting food out very quickly. I ordered the Turkey Deluxe sandwich and the sweet-sour sauce that comes with it really takes a turkey sandwich from ordinary to «hey this is good!». I really like the touch of sunflower seeds that adds a little salty crunch and texture. The outside terrace is great, with a good amount of tables and umbrellas for shade. The only downside for those moms who have babies — B&B doesn’t have high chairs and maneuvering with a stroller can be a little annoying. There is a small handicap ramp on the north side of the restaurant, but the spacing between tables and chairs can be a bit tight. Otherwise, great spot for lunch — easy place to grab a fast bite to eat without the feeling of «committing to a sit-down restaurant. Personal Recommendation: Turkey Deluxe: Turkey breast, cheddar cheese & sunflower seeds served with sweet-sour dressing on a French baguette. Includes mayo, tomato & lettuce.

It’s so great when you find a place that doesn’t change and Board & Brew is certainly one of those places. I’ve been coming here since 1995 and today was the first time in a long time but the quality of their sandwiches hasn’t changed. B&B is located in I guess what you can call the«heart» of Del Mar. It’s located below street level so it might be a little hard to find the first time. There is generally plenty of off street free parking. I went today at the height of lunchtime and was able to find a parking space less than a block away. The menus is pretty simple and you can order your own type of sandwich, but I strongly suggest you order one of their special sandwiches your first time. Two of my favorites are the«Turkado» and the«Tub O’Tuna». Today I had the turkado. It came with a side of their special house dressing which I think is new. These sandwiches are generous but no so huge you wont’ finish it. But even if you only finish off half, take the rest home for later. Everything is fresh that goes into their sandwiches and the breads are also fresh. I’m quite fond of both their sourdough and squaw breads. They have a nice little outdoor patio out back and another one out front, again, just below street level but with plenty of sunshine. And of course, there is a small dining area indoors. You can place your order online if you are in a hurry and of course, they have the full menu posted online. There are far too many«fast food» type sandwich places that can’t ever compare to a place like this. B&B has a more than 35 year history so clearly they are doing something right. What I was surprised to see on this visit, pleasantly surprised, is they are open on the weekends and until 6pm. I could be wrong but I thought they used to be only open during the week and only til about 3 or 4pm. Regardless, so glad to know they are open all week and til 6pm! Tomorrow I’ll be back to treat myself to the Tub O’Tuna sandwich!
