We shop here a lot. It’s expensive but we can get a wide variety of organic products. What really annoys me is the baggers leaving an item un bagged and you don’t know all your paid for items have not been bagged until you get home! Yesterday, it was a package of Cowgirl Creamery cheese… This has happened several times and it’s getting old. Last week we had a very rude checker, she was a real piece of work. Whole Foods, take a look at your customer service. It needs some attention.

Overall they have fresh food and a good selection. I prefer their meats and cheeses to other stores and am a fan of the olive bar. Definitely on the pricey side though and I’ll go to another store for my staples.

Convenient location. Parking aggressive and not good. Vegan donuts awesome. Coffee bar, friendly and nice. Went to order a pizza. The pizza maker/associate very snippy and curt. Asked to double slice the pizza slices so they wouldn’t be so big. She sighed and curtly asked, «double sliced??! Will there be anything else?!» I answered with a smile, «oh, no I’m fine after you double slice it». You go to wf and pay for quality and service so, it’s not too overwhelming to cut pizza when a paying customer asks. Just so you know, you came off as rude and sarcastic. WF is where I shop to get a few go to items. Not to be re-questioned in a rude and harried way/you were not that busy/that’s no excuse anyway. Thanks for pissing me off.

You could walk outta here with a large slice of pizza for only $ 3.50. Shopping here is like looking for a home in an expensive community. Sure, the homes look nice but there’s no way you could afford them. Same holds true for the groceries here at Whole Foods. However, what really matters to me are their affordable lunch options. Salads, hot foods, pizza, custom sandwiches, sushi, and juices are all of high quality and freshly made. For me, I’ll put up with the traffic and parking issues for quality food at reasonable prices. — Food ordering is a lot less chaotic compared to the UTC location. — Don’t order the roll bread for sandwiches. Too dry… — I always park in the parking structure behind Whole Foods because there’s always a spot. — Seemed to be a lot staff working here.

I came here to get an acai bowl and they said they were out of strawberries and mango… Umm you work in a grocery store filled with fresh produce. It was the most bizarre thing ever.

This location has been my lifesaver for getting fast healthy food. Love all whole foods but this location might be the most convenient as the location close to home has the smallest parking lot ever. This one at least has structure parking. Love the fact that if you’re in a rush and can’t go to a restaurant they have ready made food to choose. I mainly go to whole foods for that and once in awhile for fresh fish. Unfortunately this place is a bit pricey to come here often especially for grocery shopping. So I usually stick to going for their made sushi rolls. Can’t go wrong with those. Like the fact that they have brown rice for their rolls. Awesome. Thanks whole foods aka whole paycheck

We decided to try Whole Foods for breakfast. Kyle was under duress since 3 other employees called is unavailable that morning. He was going crazy however he gave us absolute personal relaxed service. That made for a lovely morning. ThankQ Kyle!

This was a very sexy Whole Foods in Solana Beach. The picture shows this cool bar area, with big TV’s to watch sports and a few taps behind a bar if you wanted some adult beverages. Very nice.

I usually come to this whole foods after eating at Burger Lounge which is a couple stores down from them. I visit whole foods mainly because they carry mochi ice cream a type of mochi that I first tried in Oahu. When I found out Whole Foods sold them, I started visiting whenever I was around Del Mar area. After going there for a while, I started looking around more at their supplies. They’re just like Trader Joe’s in my opinion. I started to purchase their beers and spirits whenever I visited around the weekends. They have some goodies to buy from their bakery and they also carry poke which was even better. Every time I go, I find something different to buy after I get some mochi ice cream. Other than the usual grocery store set up, Whole Foods has a mini bar/restaurant typa thing goin’ on inside. There’s also a cafeteria like place where they sell hot/cold food items that you can pick up yourself. There’s a lot goin’ on inside the store and it actually reels me into buying something different every now and then.

I’m a huge fan of the super, focused on health, grocery markets around town. I’m more of a Farmers market shopper, but due to the exclusivity of time they require you to shop, I often find myself supplementing fruits or vegetables at grocer markets as well. So with that being said, I really love the spaciousness of this particular store. It’s not situated that great in the shopping center it’s in, due to the worst parking situation ever… But once inside, it’s really got a lot of leg room! The establishment is always super clean and pristine in looks and feel. The staff are also all really sweet and genuinely there to help. Tbh the best times to shop(if you’re able to get away) is Monday through Thursday 7 – 11 am. And touching back on the parking lot situation, it’s definitely the best time to find a parking right out front too. Now depending on the load your purchasing, if you’re over there grabbing bags and bags of carrots for the horses, then you can count on an employee offering to help you out to your car or truck. ;) This particular Whole Foods market still gives you that home town community feeling, regardless taut it’s a chain store, and I really like that. :)

This location is very large! Easy to navigate the aisles since it is more open than other locations I’ve been to. Specialty groceries are good for special occasions and if you want something special, but I love whole foods for the food service options — salad bar, hot food bar, pizza, sandwiches, etc. Such a great spot to grab lunch. The juice/coffee bar at this location is awesome! Very big, super quick service. I love their green smoothies, because they aren’t super thick or heavy, more like a juice that is a little more pulpy and ice cold! I get the Farmers Garden(spinach, kale, banana, strawberry, OJ) and it is very good. A little pricy, but you already knew that.

Really the only market I go to regularly. I thought I’d write a review solely for the sandwiches because they are the best in town. Good meats, great selection of breads and a plethora of veggies and condiments. Where else can you get a chicken breast sandwich on seeded baguette with humus and olive tapenade, provolone, arugula and pickles? I’ve heard people diss Whole Paycheck because of prices(overall true), but compare sandwich prices at Which Which or its ilk — and there is no comparison in quality. I will note that the prepared food selection is much better in La Jolla, but I suspect its just demographics. Lots of students and dense population. The Del Mar hot bar could really use some variety.

This is my one of my favorite Whole Foods in San Diego! The store is huge and the layout is very clean and open. The juice bar is in the front by the produce. The bar and restaurant is on the opposite side by the other front door. I recognize most of the regular workers and it’s nice to see familiar faces and catch up on life. There is plenty of parking out front but if you can’t find a spot there is a huge parking garage behind the store.

Worst customer service experience I’ve ever had at a Whole Foods. Literally Every time I come here I promise myself I won’t came back(it’s just SO convenient right off the highway) Most of the people I have ran into here I have had bad experiences with. Stuck up much anybody??? I will say– I have always had a good experience at the Juice Bar, and one woman that works in the supplements Department. There has been one younger male cashier that is always cool too. Everybody else(unless you know for sure this does not apply to you) can check your ‘I’m better than you’ attitudes at the door.

Some say Whole Foods is over priced– but I say for what you get it’s totally worth it. And I’m not just talking about the food. Every employee that I’ve encountered is so helpful and so friendly, and I go here 4 – 5 times a week. You could pick any meat item and Eric will tell you how long and what temperature to cook it in– and will even tell you the best flavor and accompaniments for a perfect dinner. Thank you for always keeping my husbands stomach satisfied. And that goes for all of the guys in the meat department– they’re great. And they always have the best variety and quality of meats. In the seafood they go above and beyond. Picking out the bones of your salmon(thanks Mikey), cleaning and cutting your crab. And have you ever tried the smoked scallops, amazing. I love the shortcut chef containers in the produce department– especially the mango. It’s fresh, and saves me a lot of time when it comes to cooking. Honestly I could go on all day. I can’t move out of this area because I would miss all of the people at this Whole Foods too much. I love walking in to the beautiful flower bouquets, instantly cheers me up Oh and their mini tarts are so good

Whole Foods is there for all of my wants and needs, from a quick lunch before the beach to acai bowls and healthy groceries for my pre-summer beach bod diet. It’s a little pricey here but definitely worth it because I always feel good about what I buy here. They have a lot of treats from local markets like their macarons and their packaged peanut butter cookies – I’ll have to take a picture and update this review because they’re SO good. They have seating inside and outside and I just really love this entire plaza solely due to the fact that there’s a Whole Foods.

Hear snap, crackle, pop rice krispies wait in shrink wrap it’s time for dessert. I have had to restart my search for the best rice krispy treat in town after Starbucks changed to a new bakery. What use to taste awesome is now mediocre. I was wandering around looking for something good to eat and noticed rice krispy treats in the fruit turnover/pastry case. Rice krispy treat has strong rice krispy flavor, hard, crunchy, light marshmallow flavor. This treat is good but not great. I prefer a higher ratio of marshmallow to rice krispy. Very similar to one I had at Chinese Bakery on El Cajon Blvd. I also tried other items in their bakery. Apple pie was $ 9.99. The apple filling had a nice sweet apple cinnamon flavor. Crust was like a piece of white bread as it had too much moisture content. I was so hoping for nice crunchy crust like a fresh Julian Apple pie right out of the oven. *sigh I checked the expiration date and there were 5 days to go. Reminds me of a Sprouts pie. That apple pie also had crust that had this soft old aura about it… The Whole Foods apple pie is comparable to other grocery store pies but the price is higher. Apple turnover light, flaky, crunchy pastry. I showed up at 10AM and the apple turnover was extremely fresh. Nice subtle aroma and awesome flavor from the pastry and apple filling. Best apple turnover ever from a grocery store/bakery! :-) The croissant was soft and fully. Very good flavor. Small amount of crunch. Best grocery store croissant I’ve had! v

Quit possibly the nicest grocery store(and whole foods!) that I have ever been to! It is located in a beautiful, pricey area of Del Mar and there is plenty of parking. The layout of the store is great and it has everything you could ever want in terms of health foods and local foods/products. I love the bulk granola section in this store! Yes, Whole Foods is always on the expensive side but it is a luxurious shopping trip for sure. Just watch what you put in the cart because it does add up! This is the only reason for the loss of a star. Remember to bring your own bags– 10 cents off for each re-usable bag you use!
