Really awesome shop!
Its like walking into a FReD MEYER store up North, with lots of options. Whats’ even better is the dead animals all over the place.
I’m not kidding, theres’ bison, moose, jaguar and elk! Its really cool to see some of these beasts up close.

I’m a stickler for seeking out the tried and true, locally owned family business, if I can help it. Russell’s has been a Del Rio fixture for as long as I can remember, and that’s long before the Home Depots, or Wal-Marts of the world. The store has a small town feel, and the few employees I’ve interacted with were friendly, and helpful. I am one woman who will peruse the guns, and hunting gear, over knick-knacks any day!
Unfortunately I left Russell’s disappointed when I couldn’t find (with an employees help), plain old curtain hooks. And no, Wal-Mart didn’t have them either! What gives? Hanging up curtains with fish hooks, or bungee cord is not an option.
PROS:
longtime neighborhood store
not crowded
decent selection of other goods
CONS:
parking lot can get tight
curtain hooks were finally found at Home Depot (so much for trying to help out small business America)
