I have been a very happy customer at Craig Berns Salon and Spa for over 4 years now. It is hard to find that one salon that never lets you down. I have had Anton’s turn my hair orange when trying to go from blonde to brunette and butcher it short, I have had terrible highlights that were tacky and fried my hair, I have had my hair turned black when I was assured that it would be medium brown. Each time my hair had to be stripped and chopped.
Every stylist at Craig Berns is exceptional. I have had the pleasure of having Meghan and Mandy for cuts and blowouts. They are both amazing. I have always set up appointments with either Morine or Vanessa for color. They are both so amazing and talented with highlights and color you will not be disappointed. I’m sure there are other colorists at the salon that are amazing as well but I can guarantee through experience that Morine and Vanessa are amazing. I have had massages with Amanda and she is amazing as well. Best massage I have ever received. The reception is so friendly and helpful as well. Another thing I love about Craig Berns salon and spa is that every time I have visited either Craig or Mary Beth is out on the floor overseeing their staff and available to offer their expertise if a stylist needs them. It is always clean and tidy and it is beautiful inside.
If you are looking for a new salon I highly recommend Craig Berns Salon and Spa.

I went to craig burns salon to try and find a new hair place. I had been going to the same two people that I followed from beauty school thru at least five different salons. When both girls went out of town craig burns was recommended by several friends that I had known a long time and done some charity photo work with. I called craig burns to be sure they did styling the way I had been getting for years. I made my appointment and the stylist did not do anything close to what I wanted. I left some detailed feedback and after a couple weeks the salon owner called and said that they did not have the ability to do what I had wanted, but could come back and try a better stylist but be sure to bring pictures, I was given to the desk and explained exactly what I wanted and given an appointment. When I drove back to the salon (an 80 mile round trip from my home) I arrived 20 minutes early and the stylist was very nice, the owner came over and when I showed her the pictures the owner said «I hope you don’t want that !! «and just made me feel beyond uncomfortable. I was feeling horrible and the manager said that maybe I should just go. I drove away and then decided to still try the stylist despite the bad experience with the owner. but even though I would still be starting about my scheduled appointment time she was not available.
I left a detailed message for the owner and got no response. I requested to try the stylist without the owner and never got a response or refund. I had asked that the stylist get the refund since I felt bad that she would lose money on my visit, but I never heard that she got the money either. I have never felt worse and more stressed with any salon I have ever been to. The building is clean and very nice, some of the people there were very nice. I can only say that between the desk and the owner the communication is not good. I don’t know if men are welcome at the salon ??? They made me feel quite unwelcome.

I have had the pleasure of getting my nails and toes done by Karen several times. She is a fantastic person and her work is always of the highest quality! The salon is welcoming and comfortable and the experience is always top notch!

I love this place! I’ve been going here for years for hair with Jen. I just recently started going here for waxing. They are great! Christina & Julie are both excellent professionals as well.

Great staff and good service; I’ve had my haircut by different folks there and all have been great.

From the great head massage to the final touches, I enjoy every minute of my experience with Desirae! She is honest and works with my hair type to its best potential! I look forward to my haircuts !

Not only did Jen give me the best hair cut I have ever had but everyone in the business is super friendly, helpful and very experienced with both styling and Mens cuts. They didn’t try to push tons of products on me as I walked out the door either which is the reason I hate going for a haircut. They made the experience very pleasurable and I will continue to be a customer every time I am near Delafield.

My Go To, Feel Good, Pamper Heaven! Not only have I received the services at Craig Berns Salon for over 10 years from massages, facials, pedicures, manicure & hair cuts, but I refer my guests at my inn to their salon as well. That means, I stake my business reputation on their services as well. I am not a «high maintenance» individual so I’m not in there on a regular basis. So the fact that I receive services great service on a sporactic schedule indicates that it is reliable. Mary Beth and Craig excel at monitoring their staff and enjoy feedback to keep the standards high for their clients. Go back? Hands down (especially if its a manicure, wink, wink)!

I’ve been a fan of Craig Berns Salon Spa for over 20 years. I’ve always been treated with kindness and respect and walk out the door feeling like I’ve had an experience rather than just a hair cut.
I’ve had my hair done by both Marybeth and Craig along with several of their staff from the newly hired and everything in between. Regardless of who is working on me there is a common theme in every visit, I’m important to them.

Returned for complimentary shampoo reconditioning treatment from last experience of hair being burned. Before drying it, they put styling gel in my hair, even though I told them I do not want extra product in my hair — oh, this will make your straight hair stay in place. Yes, it did hide the sizzled pieces, but it made my hair look super greasy all day.
I was told that they had never seen someone’s hair get burned at the salon, and it was probably because I am from Waukesha where we have bad water, so maybe the combination of bad water (mineral build up) and hot iron make me an unideal candidate for flat ironing — something they could have never known. The issue is that I have a water softener and a filter on my shower. Hmm…
I was also told that another issue could have been an electricity surge that changed the temperature of the flat iron without the stylist knowing. Overall, I was really frustrated that they did not take ownership for the individual’s mistake. The stylist was too busy jumping between two customers that three people touched my hair before the end of the haircut; and in the middle my hair was half pinned up (not dried) and half dried, when they started to flat iron it. I am appalled because I never asked for it to be flat ironed; I asked for more «shape» — layers that would curl around my face.
I am frustrated because I have never had this happen to me before. My hair is not colored; I do not flat iron it. I had thick, healthy hair and now its been sizzled and I have broken ends of all different lengths throughout my head (almost two months out). I have had a medical professional look at the split ends, and they said, wow, your hair is burned, look at the lack of color on the split ends and the unique texture/​how it has a little curl.
Craig Berns Salon owner is nice, but she was in complete denial and made me to feel the guilty one. She offered a complimentary «shampoo reconditioning» which is really a free bonus because your water is so awful. Too bad I’m still out my $ 40 with tons of sizzled hair strands all all different lengths.
All to say: I got burned by Craig Berns Salon and they did not care. Nope, I cannot recommend you.

I’ve always had a great experience here! I’ve had my color done by both Morine & Nicole and they do such a great job! Ellie & Vanessa give wonderful blowdry styles! Everyone is very friendly & I feel so pampered when I’m here!

I happened to be lucky enough to work with a wonderful lady on a work project who always had a perfect hair cut. When I mentioned I was in need of a cut, she graciously provided me the name of her stylist at the Craig Berns Salon Spa in Delafield. The Aveda products, scalp treatment, shampoo, condition and cut were all superb. Linda spent a fair amount of time discussing my goals with me and was professional and friendly. When I left I had swingy, gorgeous hair and I will definitely rebook. A pleasurable experience!
