DeLand Bakery

I had heard of the Deland Bakery company and I have seen their products elsewhere, but I had never been to this location before. I was really impressed with their selection, especially of frozen and dry Vegan and cruelty-​free products. I also liked the variety offered by the hot/​cold deli and juice/​smoothie bar (both noticeably label food items as to what was Vegan, gluten-​free, etc. and offer alternatives). The staff was friendly and helpful and I will be coming back here.

This place is just odd. The people aren’t very friendly and their stock is hit or miss. Their produce is often wilted or just rotten. Their bread is pretty ok, although pricey. Would like it better of you could actually see the bread being made but you can’t because they have a wall surrounding the bakery part. It would also be nice if they had the bread and baked goods set up like a real bakery instead of a small display rack. There will be a new bakery coming soon downtown on Woodland which I am sure I will prefer over this place. Wish Deland had a Loves Whole Foods. Their prices are lower and overall atmosphere is welcoming unlike this place. Whenever I shop here I feel like an alien. Not to mention everyone speaks Spanish. They could definitely stand for some improvement.

AMAZING! It’s an all natural super market with anything you can think of. Shampoo, lotions, herbs, bread, produce, anything that a grocery store would have, this natural market has it too!
Just stopped in to get a post — workout smoothie at their café. That’s right… they have a café AND deli! Grab breakfast, lunch, or dinner here without the guilt! Best of all, the prices are comparable to any other smoothie/​sandwich shop. I had a Super Smoothie for $ 5.99 with organic banana, organic mango, organic blueberries, almond milk, and peach yogurt. It was thick, filling, cold, and devine! The perfect way to start my day! I’m highly HIGHLY recommend this place for anyone who wants to go out to eat without having to search for healthy menu options. When you order here, everything is guilt free!
Most items on the grocery side of the market is a little more expensive than a grocery store but if your looking for true natural foods, this is the place for you!
A plus: it smells so good when you walk in. Like freshly baked bread! Yummmmm
