I visited Pat and Toni’s Sweet Things for the first time this evening with my husband and a friend. We ended up here by accident due to the rain, and it was busy from all the other people coming in to escape the weather. The staff was very friendly and attentive, even with the extra workload, and have us samples of fudge. Prices aren’t posted clearly, but fudge was $ 15/lb and truffles were $ 12ish/lb. We bought a small selection and all were fresh and well made. We’re definitely planning to come back again when we have more time to look around!

I am so excited to find such a fun, nostalgic and yummy candy shop right downtown! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Get the Stetson Bourbon Balls and fall in love.

It’s a fun and adorable shop that is a paradise for those with a sweet tooth. There’s sugar in every corner: mints, lemon drops, ice cream, smores etc. They had an unbelievable amount of chocolate! The whole place is a chocolate factory. The staff is extremely friendly and the smell of the shop is addicting. I only tried the chocolate covered pretzels. They were big and of course delicious. If you have kids, this might be a wonderful place to bring them to.
Next time, I will try their truffles and fudges.

This is a great sweet shop downtown Deland. My wife and Daughter love to stop by here to brose and pick up some sweets when we are walking around or before going to the Athens Theater. They have not found anything that they did not like.

The store can be cute and fit perfectly downtown, but when you hear the owner(Pat) giving a female patron a bad time — it turns me off. From what I heard the lady purchased a fund raiser book from a local elementary school and wanted to redeem a coupon for a ¼ pound of fudge — oh boy, Pat was not happy! He told the lady the coupon was fraudulent and he never participated in the fund raiser, one of the employees said«maybe it was Tony» and he barked«she wouldn’t do that — everything goes through me»…AWKWARD! Not cool, don’t like it at all. Big Pat sounded like an overbearing oaf — he keep the over priced candy! I hope everyone is sure to redeem their coupon and make this guy’s day!

Oreo balls are amazing. So are the dark sea salt caramels. Usually get a to go bag and then head to one of the local wine bars :)

Stopped in here on a trip to Deland. Very cute shop! I love the smell as you walk in. The staff there were all very friendly. I got a mint chocolate truffle and a dark chocolate silk truffle. Had to restrain myself or I would have gotten more chocolate and fudge! They even had chocolate covered oreos! Would definitely stop by here the next time I am in Deland.

If you’re passing through, this place is a must. I know, because I was passing through and decided to stop in. The chocolate was delicious, the vintage sweets were numerous, and the staff was both knowledgeable and friendly. If I’m ewer out that way again, I’ll stop by for sure.

LOVED the chocolates! I have had chocolates all over the world and consider myself a chocolate snob. These chocolates were good… really good. Brought a pretty big box back for the family in all varieties and it was GONE within about 5 minutes. My favorite was the milk chocolate caramels and the milk chocolate dipped pretzel with the butterfingers sprinkled on top. The one I didn’t care for was the lemon with the chocolate ganache inside. I would have rather had a creamy lemon-ie type filling. If the lemon had been better I would have given the review 5 stars. By the way, great location and staff too!

A cute little candy store with multiple cases of chocolate, vintage candy, and ice cream. Picked up a few chocolates from the case that were all very good but a bit expensive. Was visiting around Easter time so was able to get some yummy egg malted milk balls. Didn’t get any ice cream but will try that next time.

This candy shop is amazing! I could stop my review there and just tell you to take my word and those of the many other amazing reviews this store gets and go see for yourself. Have a sweet tooth? Sweet Things will have something to satisfy every craving from savory to sour from chocolate to fruity. On one side you have all different types of truffles, chocolate covered fruits and salty items like pretzels and potato chips. On the other side you have throwback candies and containers full of every gummy/jelly candy you could imagine. The chocolates are amazing, my biggest regret so far is not having tried the fudge. My husband loves the jelly candies the best. It is a little expensive, but if you’re looking for a sweet treat to indulge in you should definitely stop in!

OMG! What an amazing place! Their dark chocolate is vegan and so are the dark chocolate peanut butter cups, which are also heavenly to taste! There is something in this shop for every sweet tooth on the planet. Skip dessert and head to Pat and Toni’s!

What a marvelous litte candy shop! Everything is home-made and you will be delighted to an overwhelmingly endless variety of chocolates and candies to choose from. I bought cookies n cream, chocolate mint, and a huge chocolate covered smore and even got 2 chocolate covered strawberries free(for spending over $ 10 or so). I still have to go back to try the key lime pie on a stick!

This is definitely a cute, old fashioned candy shop. It fits in perfect with the downtown atmosphere of Deland. They carry lots of different candy. Some you may not be able to get at your local grocery store. They also make loads of delectable chocolates. Dark chocolate butter creams, chocolate covered oreos, and smores are just a few of the yummy delights to try.

Life, liberty and the pursuit of sweet things Sweet Things is indeed a very sweet place. Everywhere you look you will see something sweet and although it certainly can’t be called a healthy place you can even find some some healthy things to munch on. Healthy things covered with chocolate. The shop use to be called The Candy Castle and many of the local folks still referred to it by that name. However it’s now a lot more than just prosaic candy. It’s a step back into time to an old fashion candy shop juxtaposed with a modern chocolatier. All kinds of penny type candies and bubble gum, gummy bears and gummy everything, licorice, tons of great and unique fudge and of course chocolate. Not just pieces of chocolate, although Sweet Things certainly has it’s share of truffles, turtles, caramels and domestic and fancy imported chocolates, but covered chocolate covered everything. Huge chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate covered orange peels, chocolate dipped Twinkies, and even strange and bizarre things like chocolate covered bacon. A woman working there told me that there would dip wine bottles in chocolate and when I asked if they had chocolate covered rutabaga she said no but bring some in and we’ll dip it in chocolate for you. Doesn’t get much better than that. Sweet Things is one of those places that manages to pack an incredible amount of variety and coolness into a relatively small space. The even had Italian Ice and some small tables outside to enjoy your treats. Not a place to go if you are desperately trying to lose weight. It is a place to go if you have a sweet tooth or just enjoy seeing lots and lots of very cool chocolate.
