Lenny’s Sub

My husband and I had a bad taste in our mouths from New York Sub’s, so decided to try Lenny’s. It was by far better. The service was great too, they answered our questions and helped us decide on our meal. Lenny’s is definitely our favorite sandwich in Denton.

I tried the 7 inch Philly sandwich with mushrooms and bell peppers added on wheat bread. I absolutely love this sandwich!!! The bread is so soft, the sandwich is full of juicy tender meat and plenty of cheese.

I stopped in for lunch around 12:15 on a weekday. The place wasn’t busy so no waiting. I ordered the Deluxe Club. The sandwich was well made, fresh, and tasty. The bacon was crispy which was nice. Fast and friendly staff. I’ll be back when I’m in the area.

Great sub shop I just discovered. I had the Super Veggie Sub on Multi grain with the hot pepper sauce. The hot pepper sauce is amazing and really gives the sub a kick. Staff is really patient in explaining the menu and checking in to make sure you’re satisfied. Staff is really passionate about what they do and explaining how all deli items are freshly cut. Can’t wait to come back tomorrow.

The service and the good is good. and is a lot better than some places around here, it is fresh N the bread is not a hockey buck, therefore. I will always give my business to lennys sub instead of any where else.

Good eats! Much better than Subway or most of the other sandwich shops. And the only place you can get a 15″ sub instead of a 12″. Ingredients are fresh and the sandwich is made right in front of you. Get their card and get a free sandwich after a few subs.

It is worth paying a few extra dollars (compared to subway) to get fresh cut meats. Been here a few times… philly cheese steak and the French dip are all I’ve had and both were great.
Parking kinda sucks though, especially if you drive a truck.

I was a regular at my local Lenny’s back in Tennessee. The Dallas area doesn’t have many Lenny’s locations so I was happy to come across this one in Denton.
Service: Great! He was very kind and personable and just all around pleasant.
Food: the #6 was yumm-o…just like I remembered. I order it with LTO, Mayo, Oil/​Vinegar & their Hot Pepper Relish (the relish is so good). The #12 was a sad face; they forgot to add the hot pepper relish, the sandwich/​meat was dry, there wasn’t a lot of chicken, the bell peppers weren’t grilled (maybe you have to ask for that now), and there weren’t a lot of bell peppers, onions, or tomatoes on the sandwich. Overall the #12 was a bust. I’m not going to give up hope though — I’ve had this sandwich a million times before and its been amazing. I’ll give this location another stab at the sandwich.
Other menu favorites: the chicken salad sub, the roast beef sub, the mile high turkey on a kaiser roll, the tuna sub, and the #21 philly salad. All of these are so good.

Well done. Had the deluxe Turkey club today. So fresh. So good. On top of making a grear sandwich the customer service and attitude of the staff is something that you don’t get at subway. Plus overall the ingredients from the bread to meat and veggies are more fresh and plentiful. I always stop when I’m on that side of town.

This little gem is WELL worth taking the time to find!!! Not only do they absolutely have the only thing close to a real philly cheese steak outside of the north east, but they have by far the BEST customer service of any restaurant in Denton!!! They remembered our names and orders in only our second visit and you can tell they actually care about providing you with an excellent experience. Delicious food, SUPERB customer service, we will continue to go over and over again!

Great subs. I love the French Dip the best. Their chips aren’t the best but you can’t have it all.

Lenny’s subs is very good. The fresh deli cut meat is out of this world. The sandwiches are huge. Price is on par with the other sandwich shops but Lenny’s gives more bang for your buck. Just wish it was closer to my house.

Any places whose motto is «More food, more taste, more personality» has got to be great, and Lenny’s is a great sandwich shop. Once you go to Lenny’s Sub Shop, you’ll never go back to Subway again. Lenny’s sandwiches are made with fresh ingredients and all the meats are cut when you order. The bread is delicious and very fresh. I had the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich and my wife had the Italian Sub. Both sandwiches were delicious and were topped off with Lenny’s Hot Pepper Relish (we got it on the side so it wouldn’t overpower the sandwich) and Lenny’s chips. After cutting the meat for my Philly Cheese steak, they dropped it on the grill and cooked it fresh for my sandwich. For a sandwich shop, it doesn’t get better than this in Denton. The dining area inside Lenny’s is nothing to get exciting about and we decided to get our sandwiches to go. Even the employee working seemed excited about serving us our first Lenny’s sandwich. As we walked out the door, he yelled after us «see you tomorrow». I’ll definitely be back to revisit the Philly Cheese steak and try some of their other sandwiches. Lenny’s has one of the best Philly cheese steaks I’ve had… and most definitely the best in Denton. I’d recommend eating it there rather than getting it to go, though, because even after just a 5 minute drive, they can get quite soggy. They’ll even offer to jazz it up with some shredded lettuce, tomatoes, and hot pepper relish if you ask (just say yes). And if you’re a Texan, you know it never hurts to add some ranch for flavor. :)
The ONLY reason they aren’t getting 5 stars from me is the atmosphere and hours. The Denton location is stuck in a small little strip center on the north side of town wedged between a Pizza Patron and UPS store. It’s extremely bright with fluorescent lighting and doesn’t really have any appeal or charm to it. Normally this would not be an issue and I’d get the sammy to go, but I treasure the fresh Philly so. It’s clean with some basic booths, but isn’t somewhere you want to go hang out. Plus, they close at 9pm, which is pretty early for Denton sub shops.
Like another reviewer said, the ingredients are super fresh and sliced right there with lots of options. The staff is always incredibly nice and willing to help. I’ve never had a bad thing here!
Side Note: check the back of your receipt for coupons and ask for a Lenny’s Reward card. They’ve also got a very generous email club you can join. They’re good about handing out freebies every now and then.

The best sub sandwich place I have had yet! Better than Subway, Quiznos, Jimmy Johns, ect. Lenny’s makes your sandwich fresh by carving the deli cheese meat instead of using a precut meat. This is what makes it taste so good! They also don’t skimp on this. You pick all your veggies, they use oregano and even a special hot pepper relish if thats your taste. The sandwiches are big! Their chicken salad is tasty and has chucky pieces of chicken, the philly is pretty awesome, too. Although it’s not your regular philly, but different. This is my favorite places to eat since I’m in college and it’s just across the street. They usually have deals with coupons and such along with student discounts.
