Excellent ambience and food right off the Denton square. If you’re looking for Thai food in the Denton area go no further, this is outstanding food and service in a quaint restaurant right near all the action. I was pleasantly surprised by the authentic flavors of all the dishes we tried. I will definitely be back here when I’m in town.

Damn solid Thai food. BYOB, which I always manage to forget until I’m on my way! I come here for lunch on the weekend sometimes or take-out during the week and it always leaves me happy. Portions are ample, service is prompt, and medium spicy has just the right heat. Pretty much my go-to for Thai in Denton.

Thai Square is awesome. The servers are great, it’s a nice small place, always smells great, food has been nothing less that absolutely delicious. Every time I go and have something new and have not yet been dissapointed. Also it’s BYOB which is awesome and their coconut ice cream with sticky rice is fantastic. Highly recommend this place, it’s busy on Friday and Saturday evening around 7 and 8 but I’ve never waited more than 5 minutes. Go try it!

This is my go to Thai restaurant in Denton. They have many vegan options, and are always willing to check ingredients of dishes for me. I enjoy all of their curries, with vegetables only or tofu added. They are flavorful! There is even a curry sampler if you are feeling indecisive or want a little of everything. The tom kha soup is delicious– if you enjoy tom kha they make it as a noodle soup also! Fresh veggie spring rolls with peanut sauce and tofu fries are appetizers I usually choose from. To top all of my visits off, I get a Thai tea with creamy coconut milk for dessert! Friendly service and the ambiance is cozy. I once called in an order to go, and they called me back just to make sure I hadn’t made a mistake when I made my order, which is very considerate. Great location, right off the square in Denton. I have been here many times and can’t say that I have any complaints!

Love this place. I always get the curry sampler but if I just get one I get the green curry. It’s so, so, so, good. I’m so glad you’re in Denton!!!

This happens to be one of me and my boyfriend’s favorite thai places in Denton out of all the options. In comparison to Thai Ocha, we would usually choose this place for our favorite dessert which is their green tea ice cream and the chocolate lava cake. We also get a scoop of Thai tea ice cream in addition. Their pad Thai and yellow curry are our personal favorites. The food is definitely a nice quality, but we didn’t give it the full 5 stars because we feel it’s a little understaffed so it’s hard to get the servers’ attention. The service could be a little better, but overall this would be a great place for Thai food especially in the awesome area like the square!

Pretty much everything I have ever ordered here has been really good. Best Thai food in Denton for sure. We eat here at least twice a month. The restaurant itself is very nice inside. It has an upscale feel but is laid back. Pretty small inside which is nice. It is just off the square so traffic is not a factor and usually easy to find a parking spot. The staff are very knowledgable and helpful. They help pick out vegan items and tell you what to take out of other dishes to make them vegan. We have tried the fresh rolls and spring rolls. Probably a bit overpriced but good. Spring rolls were a little oily. We usually order a curry but I tried the basil fried rice. All the Currys have been good and very flavorful. The veggies and tofu are always cooked well. Ask about the spice levels bc they can make it mild to extremely spicy. The fried rice was very good and had a strong basil flavor. A little small for price but really delicious. They have really good Thai tea. It’s not too sweet and a great blend of flavors. Go check this wonderful little Thai restaurant out!

Hands down the best thai I have had. All soups are amazing– I go back and forth between Tom kha and Tom yum– so full of flavor and delicious. Boyfriend ways gets the pad Thai or green curry which are also amazing and full of flavor. We go once a week to this spot– will miss it when we move. Try it !

I’m still searching for fantastic Thai but I’ll happily stay with Thai Square in the meantime. On my first trip I selected«Thai Hot» instead of my usual«4 on a scale of 5» heat level. I thought Thai Hot was a different hot. I learned Thai Hot is not a «different» hot. Thai Hot is off the chart hotter than the hottest of all hot known to man. Imagine my surprise. I ordered eggplant and it was(a) mostly eggplant instead of filler vegetables and(b) had a fresher texture than the overcooked, almost mushy eggplant that’s commonly served. Don’t get me wrong — I love eggplant from tender to purée. I order it everywhere. Still, this dish was nice. Noodles were above average and we gave it another try. The second trip I ordered mild just to get my bearings. Eggplant again, of course. It had some heat and the eggplant had the same agreeable texture. I’ll go 2 on a scale of 5 next time and work my way up. There is virtually no parking even during the week, including in the sizeable dollar parking lot across the street. On a Friday night we circled several times before finding a spot four blocks away. Still, it was manageable, as was the wait for a table. Certainly worth return trips. Just keep in mind what Thai Hot means when you order.

I love that Thai Square offers a curry sampler… my husband and I have talked forever about how Thai places should do that since it’s always hard to pick just one. We started off with the Veggie Fresh rolls, which could honestly be a meal in and of themselves. But since we had already ordered our curry samplers, we had to power through. Their curry had a slightly different flavor than what I’m used to, but was still very good. There was no room left for dessert, but I’m a huge sticky rice and custard fan so we’ll definitely be back to try theirs out!

Went there today for lunch with my cousin. I got green curry(spicy level: hot). My cousin got pad thai with shrimp. Lunch special comes with a veggie Tom yum soup and it was good. My green curry tasted good and the pad thai in my opinion is the best pad thai I’ve had in Denton. There’s also a lunch special combo for $ 10.95 in which you get an appetizer with your entrée. Could’ve have gotten 5-star but service was bad. We had to call for service whenever we needed something and server would never come to us and ask if we needed anything or if everything was ok. Overall, food is good there. Except service not being the best.

I ordered the pad saw ew(?) and my friends ordered the sukiyaki noodles(However, they wanted the soup dish and not the stir fried dish, but it wasn’t the staff’s fault. My friends never specified.). I reaally like the pad saw ew. It was a decent-sized portion and the taste reminded me of a Vietnamese dish that uses similar large, thick noodles. The food came in 8 – 15 minutes. The staff was friendly and quick. The interior was nice with cute decorations for Halloween(I went mid-Octoberish).

Good little hole in the wall near the square. Food is very satisfying with good sized portions, price is a little above average. The inside is pretty small but nice to look at. The major issue I had with this place was the wait time for the food, had to wait almost 40 minutes for our food. It looks like they needed more workers because they had tables not being cleared an hour after we came in and left.

If you aren’t familiar with Denton Square Google will send you in a huge circle, but we were so glad we found this place. Not only do they have a gluten free menu with great choices, but the food was wonderful and the service was fantastic. I had the chicken Pad Thai, which they ask how spicy you would like when ordering. The sweet chrysanthemum tea was so good, I downed three full glasses and asked for another in a to-go cup which the waitress obliged. I look forward to going back.

This place is a gem! Great food and great service. If you get the curry sampler beware it is definitely enough for two people at least, just order extra rice! The waitress was nice enough to let me box up my leftovers and put in the fridge while we walked around the square! Be sure to get the chrysanthemum tea too! We also got some to go! Very great experience!

Service was excellent! The peanut sauce was way way good! The food was fresh and very tasty! My husband got the basil soup and it was really good. I think I would have to try that next time I go. I got the tom kha and it was good as well. Although it had tomatoes which why was not a fan of. We got the curry sampler with panaang, yellow, and green. Our favorite was the yellow, but the other two are very good as well.

I’m a curry-lover so this place serves the best curry in town. I tried most Thai restaurants around Denton, but no places can take over this one. I’m Asian so I know more about Asian food. This place will definitely serve you as the best. This review is made as I come this place 12th time.

I got the pad see ew and my friend got the fried rice! Both were really good! The only complaint that I have is that the price was a little high. But I mean, I suppose the good food and service made up for that. Cute interior and nice atmosphere for dates and catch ups with friends!

Thai square has definitely become a new favorite of mine! Thai Ocha on Malone still sits at number one, but man is this place a true gem. While was was waiting for my family to arrive I ordered a cup of Tom Kha with chicken. The waiter brought out some chili powder and lime to go with it. It was absolutely to die for! Perfect balance of flavors, not too coconutty or anything. We all mutually decided on the shrimp toast for an appetizer since it was so unique. Being Thai I had never even heard of it… But it was a pleasant surprise and very delicious! I totally recommend. For our entrees we had pad see ew, pad Thai, pad kee mow, and the duck in orange sauce! All very wonderful, the duck was a little too sweet for me though. Everything tasted fresh and authentic. The service was attentive and kind. The ambiance was laid back with some solid Bön Iver music playing in the background. The restaurant is staged nicely. All in all I recommend it! BONUS: the owners knew my mother so we got surprised with the mushroom salad for free! How kind.

By far my favorite place to get Thai food in and around Denton! They have some awesome things I haven’t normally seen at other Thai restaurants, as well as the classics of course ;) I recently ordered the Chiang Mai soup which was incredible! I never would have even known what it was but the server recommended it and I’m so glad I ended up getting it. My ultimate favorite, which never lets me down, is the Pad See Ew. You can’t go wrong there either. Best items overall: Pad See Ew, Pineapple cashew fried rice, Chiang Mai soup, the curry sampler, and the appetizer sampler(soooo good and beautifully presented too). And all this with a Thai tea or Thai coffee. I might be forgetting some things since I haven’t tried everything here(as badly as I want to). But I have never been disappointed with the food or the service here! I usually go on a Friday night(it just always happens to be that time) and there are always two servers, Emily and Skylar, who are so nice, talkative, hilarious, and attentive. It’s great to go here when you’re in no rush, and just having a nice dinner with a friend or two. It’s also BYOB, which I still haven’t taken advantage of yet but need to soon! Also, you can make to go orders… Very good to know! One more thing, I almost always get tofu. It is amazing here: perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. I’ve tried other meats from friends’ dishes but the tofu will always be my favorite. Anyway, I can’t say enough about this place! If you are wanting Thai food and you’re in Denton, look no further, this is as good as it gets!
