I used to think this dive burrito joint was solid… they do on occasion get it right, and when it is right it is right. However, more often than not they do not get it right. And God forbid you call them out when they make a mistake… I was berated today by the cook because SHE forgot my chicharrones, and this was after I told them they forgot to put chile on my burrito the last time I visited. Long story short… while they can put out some tasty beans burritos when they don’t mess it up, it is so hit and miss, SO dirty and rude kitchen staff(counter girl is great!) that I would not recommend this place to anybody. And I’m sorry I ever recommended it to anybody, which I did for awhile. Skip Bubba Chinos… there are thousands of better Mexican Food options in the vacinity!

I’ve come back to re write my review from quite some time ago after Unilocal removed my previous one because it «did not appear to describe firsthand customer experience». I’m sorry my review wasn’t up to your high standards. So again, I wasn’t impressed with this restaurant. It was run by a bunch of kids who didn’t seem to know anything about customer service. It was poorly run and poorly staffed. I bought a few tacos, which we’re on par with Taco Bells quality of food. Skip Bubba Chinos and try any other Mexican place on Federal. You’ll be happy that you did

Used to go all the time. went in today and won’t be going back… got mexican hamburger special and got pure beans practically, cheese wasn’t melted and NO chili at all, literally nothing. Very disappointed, not worth the money spent.

Expected more from a burrito place on Federal. Chili tasted like it was from a can. Cheese wasn’t even melted because my the chili was lukewarm at best. Won’t be going back.

Not just the worst Mexican food, but the worst food period I’ve had in a long time. Both of our burritos were missing key ingredients, the green chili was bland, and the cheese seemed like slices of American cheese crumbled by hand. It was really unappetizing. Since I can’t give 0 stars, I’ll say the 1 star was for the nice cashier.

Worst experience for breakfast burritos. They have no idea how to keep a place clean to start. There’s clearly some future plans for renovations since plastic is draped over the front. The burrito s came out after 15 minutes and much yelling and screaming from the kitchen. At least they were hot.

I really love Bubba Chinos! The smothered deluxe burritos are my favorite! I come here pretty regularly and they’ve never let me down! The service is fast and very friendly. The food is decently priced and super delicious.

Stopped by here to get a burrito and smothered fries, when I got to my boyfriend’s house I found that there was hair in my food. Called immediately and they offered to remake it if I brought it back in, but I didn’t want to eat the food after that so I asked for a refund. Refunds not given even for unsanitary food. Great business practice. My food is barely touched and there’s a long black hair mixed in with my burrito? No refund? Go eat elsewhere.

I can’t believe I can’t give this restaurant negative stars! While my boyfriend and I were exploring Federal for dispensaries(which means we’re stoners, so we eat just about ANYTHING without complaints) we stopped here. I should have turned around when I wqw the broken door. Walked in. Prices were pretty high for basic Mexican food.. . but decided to try it anyways. We both ordered off the ‘Denver’s favorites’ list and tried to get a soda. They were out of fountain drinks except diet coke! Second hint to turn around a run. The food sucked. Tasted like dog food. How in the F**K do you mess up tacos??? Tacos were greasier than a slim Jim. The only highlight of the meal… The lettuce and tomato garnish. Never again.

Spicy Hot Mess. Ordered the special which was a type of taco plate. Asked to dine in as tacos usually do not travel well. They said your order is ready and handed me a bag to-go. The flavor was ok but the food looked terrible and it was pretty greasy and burnt. Plenty of other places to try in that area so I will not be back. They did have arcade games though.

Stopped in for a breakfast burrito. Holes in the ceiling, spiderwebbed broken glass door, broken seats, broken bench, half completed wall of sheet rock between the entrance and kitchen. Dirty all around. Not sure how they stay in business or have not been shut down by the health department. I did order a steak and egg breakfast burrito. It was the only good part. I paid $ 5.15 when everyone else was ordering the $ 2.00 breakfast burritos. My burrito was very filling on a Friday morning. Tons of melty cheese, 2 eggs, a few potatoes and lots of steak. A little flavorless. If, that is if I ever go back, I’d request some hot sauce or a salt packet. My only visit, for take-out it’s ok. If you’re dining in, you’re taking a chance. Guess the businesses image doesn’t matter to the owners or the clientele.

Gross. Stomach still tied in knots 12 hours after eating this sludge. Never again. Service was poor, food was worse. On the bright side they have a couple crappy magic claw games you can play while you wait for your atrocious food. Oh, and no credit cards. I love getting $ 92 in change for my $ 8 meal.

As one reviewer wrote: It’s better than Taco Bell. That isn’t too grand of an aspiration. I had a super-mess in the bag, because one end of the burrito was left open and I carefully laid the bag on the passenger seat of my car, only to find out it had leaked all over the upholstery. The beans tasted like canned. There were three chunks of steak… actually make that two ½-inch chunks of steak and one of gristle. You never have a second chance to make a first impression when it’s this bad.

Not the worst I’ve had but certainly no where near the best. Had the steak plate and everything except the steak(which I hope was from a cow) was decent. The green chile was decent and it’s pretty hard to f up rice and beans. The«steak» was fatty, tough, tasteless, and pretty much gross. Not looking forward to the majority of the time I’m going to have to spend on the toilet passing this food which as I write this review I can already feel bubbling my in my intestine. Next time it’s just the breakfast burrito which has been good in the past. I also didn’t care to get hassled by TCF bank and some dude peddling music while I’m trying to eat.

It’s been said before, but I’d give this place negative stars if I could. The burritos were truly, completely unbelievably bad. The only redeeming factor was the heat, but nothing can make Velveeta in a burrito OK. Is this some kind of Denver thing? Because if so, let’s do everything we can to keep it here so we don’t get laughed off the face of the planet. That’s how bad this burrito is. Go to Los Carboncitos on Sheridan for an amazing late night burrito. Hell, go to Taco Bell — they’re friendlier, faster, tastier, and cheaper.

Went here for lunch today, and was pleasantly surprised. Food was pretty good, and at a great price… I’ll most likely return. I had a beef and rice burrito, smothered, w/their extra hot green chile. The husband had a chicken burrito and beef taco. The extra hot chile is definitely the way to go… good flavor and spice. The beef was okay, but a little lacking in flavor and a bit dry. The chicken was actually really delicious and juicy. Next time I’ll definitely order a chicken burrito with the hot green chile. The bathrooms are pretty disgusting, so only go if you absolutely have to. But the service was friendly and our food came out pretty quickly. Bonus: they are now open 24 hours on Friday and Saturday!

People! You really have to get the right things here! And you really have to love green chile to truly appreciate this place. I work fairly close to here, so I’ve been quite a few times. Never been let down. My old standby is the mexican hamburger with HOT green chile and cheese. It’s always worth it to pay a little extra for their super hot green chile. The chile cheese fries are amazing! Don’t pay extra for the smothered anything. Waste of styrofoam and not that much better for the price you pay. Not a place for someone on a diet, and not somewhere you should make a habit of going if you’re at all concerned about your cardiovascular health, but EXCELLENT at doing exactly what they do.
