Was pleasantly surprised to find this Arizona chain in town. Hands down, the best veggie subs around. My personal favorite is the griefo, however, the magic mushroom and silver haze sammies are also very good. I was surprised that the prices didn’t even as they do at other locations.(Taxes are included in the overall price so those that might be –Inebriated– don’t have to fumble with change.) top quality ingredients and even has a full bar on site.

The sandwiches are so good. Never had a bad sandwich. Customer service at this location was so good. The munchies are basically Rice Krispie treats made with various cereals. Heaven. Parking can be a bit cramped. Love all of the locations, I wish there was one in Lakewood!

The downtown location is much better than this location. The same food, same décor, same vibe, some everything, but the staff here is not very good. On a super-busy NYE, they had one cashier, two people working the line, and one dude just sort of standing there at the very end. I assume he was the runner or something, because he’d randomly grab a bag or a sandwich and yell a name, then go back to just standing there. The food is good, don’t get me wrong. And I totally understand the stoner vibe and that the staff is almost certainly constantly baked. That’s fine, whatever. But the LoDo location has the same exact business model with the same baked staff, and they don’t take a half hour to get a sandwich. They just straight up didn’t make my sandwich last time I was here. Bummer. It was good when I finally got it though. Get it together Colfax Cheba Hut. Being stoned in a stoney industry in a stoner vibe is fun and obviously a good time when you’re working, but being understaffed and incompetent at the very basis of the business makes me not want to come back.

When your friend tricks you to going to xbar and you see that glowing sign across the street, make a dash. Not only are the subs great but they also serve alcohol late. Don’t regret it, that’s for a bail out spot guys !

The sandwiches have a good flavor. There could be more meat on them, like subway they are mostly bread and veggies(but much better than subway). Obviously, this concept works well in Denver especially with the pot tourist who think they get high when they eat here.

Enjoyed the meal, but on 10.2.15, «Annmarie» added an additional $ 3 to the gratuity compared to what we left on our copy. Watch out! Keep your receipts! (I’m finally reconciling my cc receipts to my statements. You would be surprised how many people cheat on gratuity.)

This place is so good, that we stopped here twice in 24 hours, even though we only had 1 day to explore Denver. The people who work there, particularly the guy with the sling, are exceedingly friendly and made us feel like regulars, despite being tourists. The sandwiches are what kept us coming back– highly recommend getting the dank on garlic herb bread, but with mushrooms instead of meat, and adding olives, onions, and cream cheese. I know what that sounds like, but trust us, it’s worth it. Oh, and dip it in some ranch while you’re at it. Theirs is phenomenal. (There is also a veggie sandwich that starts with a G that was on point, if you’re not looking to make any waves, get it as is)

My first time here tonight, came in right before close and everyone was very cool, no attitude about it. Ordered the KGB loaded up with everything and it was delicious, will definitely be back next time I’m nightiowling on Colfax.

This place didn’t look that good to me for some reason, but we stopped here as we were bar hopping the other night(it is open late) and it made my belly happy. They have different cereal rice crispy treats which I loved. Great cookies and of course chips. Their sandwiches are are a play on all things weed related. The sandwich names are named after strands of mj and there are silly references along the way: it makes it fun. Most important the sub I got was delicious. The Kali something… And it was spicy, served toasted on delicious bread. That makes the sandwich here. I got the garlic bread… Mom. It is a great place to grab a sub on a Sunday for lunch or in the middle of the night. Kudos!

Coming from the East Coast where sandwiches are referred to as ‘heros’ or ‘subs’ and delicious, this place was fantastic. Subs were good, very tasty, bread was good. We liked it. Make sure you go here when in denver… worth a visit.

Love love love this place — the Kali Mist sandwich is amazing. I’m not a huge turkey fan so I sub chicken and it tastes amazing. My husband and I have been here a couple times to pick up sandwiches to go and they never disappoint. The service is quick and the sandwiches are fresh. All of the ingredients taste fabulous and the lettuce is always crisp — extremely critical making a sandwich. Couple quick things — the peanut butter crispy treat things are delish! Definitely not healthy but so good and so worth it! Another thing — this place is definitely 4⁄20 friendly so if you’re opposed I would not stop by. Finally — if you’re there on a football sunday and wearing broncos gear you get a free soda — always a nice perk :) Can’t wait to come back for another great sandwich — you guys are awesome!

I have not had a single bad thing here… the pretzel nuggets are to die for. I’m so happy they are now open late Thurs-Sat — I can get off work and swing by for a sandwich. Try the DeathStar sandwich!

Moved to CO from AZ where I went to Cheba Hut as often as possible. I was stoked to find out that CO had their own Cheba Huts… I’ve been to both locations and am happy to report that the sandwiches are just as good as I remember! Unlike AZ, the CO Cheba Huts have bars! Cha-ching! The location near 16th St. Mall had a ton more unique sandwiches than the Colfax shop… I wish all their locations had these offerings! Nonetheless, Cheba Hut is an obsession for me and I go as often as possible. Get some!

I heard about Cheba Hut a few years ago, when I visited a friend in Phoenix(where they have a few locations). Given the reputation and all of the pot smoking innuendos this place conveys, I wasn’t the least bit surprised when I saw that one(well, actually 2) had opened up near my apartment. My roomie and I decided to give it a shot(since I have not been in one for so long) on a Saturday night for dinner. We got there just in time. One thing I did notice– immediate parking is tight here– and given its location(on Colfax), I would only recommend parking where you are supposed to. But we lucked out, and got front row, and there was no wait. Upon walking in, I noticed the nice woods, and the large tables– booths, and seats. There was also a bar(which they do not have at the Tempe, AZ location– at least when I went) with hightops, and tvs as well. They have a few menus for you to look at before you order, make sure you study it– because on a late Saturday night– music is loud and it can be hard to communicate with the cashier taking orders(one of the few downsides). I kept it simple– got a sub with pineapple, swiss, ham, and honey mustard– along with a munchie(see pic). My roomie got something– can’t remember. Food only took about 5 minutes to prepare– guess they were rolling that night(however, a large crowd did come in shortly after us). They bring the food to you, so while waiting, you can just watch everyone who is seemingly stoned and make you feel better about yourself. I know, sad. The sub was indeed toasted, and it was pretty good– please note– they are generous with toppings(mayo, mustard, etc.). For me, I keep my stuff simple– so I did not have that problem. The sub was good, unique, and definitely filling. Washing it down with stoner juice(aka kool aid) made it all the worth while. Then it was time for dessert. Yo, that cereal bar was great. Everything about this place screams marijuana. So if that kind of stuff offends you, I wouldn’t recommend coming here. If you can come here with an open mind– it is worth at least one shot! You really don’t taste subs like that these days. They are pretty adamant about their ingredients. Now, the only thing that did surprise me– I didn’t see anyone light up a joint inside! That kind of disappointed me…

I really liked this place but was kind of let down on how much ingredients you get. They definitely don’t load it up… everything was clean and came out right. Watch the Chipotle mayo, it’s a little spicy. The cereal bars are pretty good for two bucks. I’d probably eat here if I lived near. Oh, it’s pretty cool it has a full bar right inside lol

We order lunch for the office every Wednesday and Friday, so when a new spot opens up close, we’re always game. We ordered Wedensday, and I had the french dip, which was one of the best I’ve ever had. Not sure if there was regular horseraddish or if it was in the mayo, but it was pure deliciousness. When I announced that we were ordering from them again this morning, I got a response like I’ve never had in the office before. Every single person was excited, citing Wednesday’s lunch as the best we’ve done. I’m sitting here now with a «The Kind» turkey sandwich, brimming over with beansprouts and it’s FANTASTIC. One little side note, several of us ordered french dips last time, and predictably, the first thing that happened when I turned the corner was that the bag with all the au-jous fell upside down. Dreaded that all the way back to the office only to find that the au-jous cups were wrapped with celophane and then two layers of tin foil. Everyone got their au-jous, and my car was saved from soupy mess. Big thanks to whoever wrapped those so well!
