I want to be super clear about this before you read this: This is *NOT* a review dealing with my experience as a resident here. It is a review dealing with my experience as a *PROSPECTIVE* resident here. The circumstances are kind of «Perfect Storm”-ish, but still pretty unexcusable for a «professionally-run» organization. The decision to author this review comes from their reprehensible decision to try and«worm their way out» of how they screwed up instead of just straightforward admitting it. Set the scene: I visit this place as a prospective tenant on July 5th. The primary manager is on vacation and has been for several days. She has left things in the capable hands of her assistant manager, who is the person whom I had dealings with. Is the property beautiful, well-manicured and landscaped? Yes, without question. Is it a stylish place? Absolutely. I would have been very happy living here. *If…* I was shown the last vacancy in the building, was charmed by and loved it, and put down a deposit check to take it off the availability list. I then contacted movers and told them the date I would need them for, and told them I was pending approval. All fine and good, everything has lined up perfectly. Except it hasn’t. 4 days later, I get contacted by the primary manager [Linda], freshly returned from vacation. She says«oh, no no no! You can’t live here! We rented it to a couple 3 days before you got here! We just hadn’t entered the information into our system, and my assistant manager didn’t receive the info from me that it wasn’t available anymore! *Sorrrrrrrryyyyyyyyy*!» (at this point, my world-famous scowl makes an appearance and storm clouds start circling overhead… I ask how could it be possible that when a vacant apt has a person put a deposit down on it, that it isn’t immediately(let’s say within 30 mins) entered into the system as no longer being available? LINDA responds:) «Oh!!! Well… you shouldn’t have presumed you were ok to move in anyways, even if the asst manager did show you the place!(imply it was available, make you fill out a rental application and take your deposit check). I didn’t give it *my* ok, so you were not«in» yet!» (at this point, I am wishing for the ability to send lightning bolts down from the sky to 1 specific location) I am left speechless at the audacity at this point, and say I will be by to pick up my deposit check as soon as I am able, which was 3 days later. My friend and I enter her office and she deeply apologizes again about the mix-up, *and then goes on to reiterate how I was in the wrong for presuming I could moved in*. :O [GET that weaksauce shield you are feebly holding up to cover your ass out of my way(knocks it aside)!!] Anyone who blames prospective tenants for failings in the way YOU choose to half-assedly run business in YOUR office shouldn’t be in charge of such a fine property. [I dearly, on a karmic level, would have loved to have heaved a box of bedbugs into the lobby at that point. I was furious. That would have been justice.] I confronted her with that logic(the cleaned up version without my personal feelings in it) and was met with silence and a very quiet dismissive«Have a nice day.» Is there anything wrong with the property itself? Probably not; it appears to be pretty to very high quality. But if you go here looking for a residency, a) make SURE you are dealing with Linda directly [because you may get the half-assed clumsy treatment I got and find out days later you are screwed], and b) watch out for Linda and the way she handles herself with you/treats prospective residents. If you can’t even get in the doorway without them ruining your plans, you probably don’t want to live there. Ever.

I loved living here! The residents are quiet and generally speaking friendly — although there’s some old people that live here and there are a few that come from a different generation, if you get my drift. But the best part about this place is the apartment management. They are friendly, really nice and really reasonable. The only problem I had with this place is that my neighbor two floors down from me smoked on his balcony, so sometimes it would waft up to my floor and I’d have to keep the door closed. The apartments are LARGE and well kept. I lived in a one bedroom but it felt like a two bedroom. My apartment had cabinets made out of a really beautiful cherry colored wood and it was immaculate when I moved in. Amenities: Pool(Indoor and outdoor pools) Jacuzzi Steam room Sauna Pool room(the kind with balls and sticks) Mail room(helpful for when you’re on vacation or get a package) Laundry on every floor
