Fat Shack

I don’t often post reviews… But man, this place made me feel compelled enough to take the time.
Just got done with hockey at DU and figured this would be the only place I could cure my post game burger craving. I’m always looking for grub after a game
Walk in and first off, it’s dirty, just like other reviewers said. The kids working the counter are complaining about how they’re getting paid to sit around and do nothing. Uhhhh, no, you’re being paid to make my food. Which, it’s been 15 – 20 mins, I’m the only one in here and I ordered a single burger. Meanwhile the kid at the counter is watching tv and picking something out of his teeth. Grossing me out, dude. Not to mention they’re blaring some shitty screamo music. No one wants to hear that crap. I mean, i used to listen to that kind of music and this is god awful.
Anyway, the only reason it gets two stars is the burger was actually alright albeit tiny. Fries are average. Go here if you’re high or… Actually that’s probably the only time it’s worth it

This place is so good! No matter if it’s midnight or noon it always hits the spot.

It doesn’t matter how good the food is when the restaurant is horribly messy. I had to step over a mop and hose on my way to the restroom. Patrons have a nice view of trash, fallen french fries, and used gloves behind the counter. The wait was very long, they looked understaffed and undertrained.

Okay so here is the deal. YOU ARE GOING TO BE FAT. Right away I’m serious after you eat this. FAT but it’s the most worth it fat there has ever been. I needed a freaking nap after just ½ my sandwich. I got the Fat Doobie. This sandwich is «chicken fingers, french fries, onion rings, mozzarella sticks & honey mustard» Did you read that? Read it again, don’t worry I’ll wait. Did you read it? THIS IS ON A SANDWICH people. OMG the honey mustard they use, if you put it on my arm I’d eat my dang arm. It’s only $ 7.99 for a regular and I couldn’t even imagine eating a large. This sandwich is so good. I can’t wait to try the others but I think like once a month would be as much as I could ever handle with my heart and all you know needing it to keep working.

To start off this review, this is the greatest place ever. No matter what your order it will be delicious. Everything they offer on the menu taste delicious. From the afternoon to the late night they always produce great food that hits the spot. Affordable prices and great food. This is the perfect spot for anyone

This place is pretty new to this area and it is pretty tasty. The lunch burger special is a flippin’ steal. 5.50 for a great burger and a load of tasty fries and a drink. This is my first stop in and now I want to try some of the crazy sandwiches. I’d give it a shot if I were you.

Ok, So I really like that this place delivers until almost 3am. There are not many other places out there that will do that. I ordered the cheese burger and one of their loaded sandwiches with cheesesteak, chicken tenders and french fries. First the burger — this was really tasty and very juicy. It probably has a way higher fat to lean meat ratio than other burgers which makes it so juicy, but with a name like Fat Shack, thats kind of what you’re going to get (great at 2am!). The sandwich was disappointing. I couldn’t see any cheese in the ‘cheesesteak’ part of the sandwich. I also requested no sauce in the sandwich, and requested/​paid for 2 different sauces on the side (it was on my email confirmation) but I did not receive these. So as you can imagine, the fries, chicken and cheese-​less steak was VERY dry without sauce!. I may try these guys again, but I really don’t like missing items that I’ve paid for.

Highly recommend this place. Great burgers, definitely my favorite place for a guilty pleasure meal.

This is a sad attempt at a quick-​service restaurant. Perhaps most importantly they have a neon Bud Light sign outside the restaurant. Unfortunately, they don’t actually serve alcohol at all, no beer whatsoever. They are also incredibly slow, it took them 15 minutes to cook Chicken Fingers when I was the only one there. The place just doesn’t seem very clean, and the employees don’t really seem like they care. I don’t think I will be returning to Fat Shack.

Received a hair in my food on my first visit… along with what looked like vomit/​defecation on the fry that was shoved in the back corner of my box of food (and I didn’t order fries). When presented they laughed and didn’t offer a refund (had to ask for one). This will be my first and last visit. The rest of the people I went with that got cheesesteak said it tasted funky and old, and it looked terrible (hopefully we don’t get sick). Save your money.
