I love the Santa Fe salad. I get it about once a week with blackened chicken and add mango. Yum! It’s fresh and crunchy, perfect for the summer. The staff is always really friendly and helpful with suggestions. Don’t let the long line fool you, they move really quick!

Aside from being a complete knockoff of Chop’t(down to the homemade soda and«spa» dressing options), this place has no concept of customer service or personality. The facility is very plain. They ran out of salad dressing for the salad of the day(a vinaigrette) then offered a ranch substitute(one is clear one is creamy so not even close). Then went ahead and made the salad I said I didn’t want. There wasn’t enough dressing on my salad and what was on there had no flavor. They offer handheld salads(not sure who does this) and different pricing for handheld versus regular salads. It’s very confusing. Ultimately I wasn’t impressed about anything(food, staff, environment) and was left wanting for Chop’t. I can’t believe this cost me $ 11! I work upstairs in the same building but probably won’t return.

I love this place for both the food and the service. The ingredients are fresh and interesting and delicious. There are excellent non-meat protein choices so it’s easy to make a very satisfying vegetarian or vegan salad. The dressings are made with care in-house using ingredients you can pronounce. This is quality, real food. Despite long lines at peak times, they move quickly. They also work hard to remember regulars’ names — I appreciate that!

Salads are always fresh. No matter what salad I get I make it dry and get cucumber dill on the side to dip my fork in. I’ve lived downtown and have been going here for years. They have wonderful guest service and I’m always greeted with a smile. I frequent this place often.

I have tried. I have tried time and time again with GFS. The company I work for would often order lunch from here to be delivered. I understand that handling a lot of orders can be annoying, but I have NEVER dealt with anyone who is as rude and unprofessional as the guy who answers the phones there. Sorry I want to give you money for food? Not only that, but salad from here has arrived BROWN. Seriously GFS? Never again.

The service here is excellent and I’m always greeted with friendly smiles. I get the grilled chicken salad or wrap with the delicious low fat balsamic and then I’m a happy gal. I definitely recommend this place if you are trying to eat healthier or just love salads. The only negative I have is that the steak is usually chewy and for the price it should really be better quality beef and not what they’ve had the past year.

Pretty disappointed. Ordered a steak salad, and for $ 10.50, I expected more than literally 3 small bites of steak. I had to hunt the bowl for it as I thought they’d forgotten it. I added egg, and it wasn’t in there either. I basically got a bowl of lettuce and some mushrooms for $ 10. I got it to go, or I would have had it fixed. Wanted to love it… but it’s just definitely not worth the $$.

Wow! First time and definitely not my last. All the ingredients were so super fresh and delicious. They have a menu of options or you can just build your own. I just wish they had a location nearer me!

I have been going out of my way for a couple of years to get salad’s here. They are excellent. That being said, I have a few suggestions which may or may not be resulting from new ownership. First of all, the lids don’t fit on the bowls. A few weeks back I was carrying by salad into the house and the lid slid off and exploded all down my front. I was in a hurry and needed to get to a meeting, and needless to say, I was in a state of shock with salad all over my front. i tried to put the lid back on to see if it was operator error(me) or the lid — it was the lid. Next, I have been in twice in the last two weeks and my observation is they are working too fast and not taking the time to listen. Last week I ordered my regular with extra chop/extra dressing(which is a mix) and there was barely any dressing on the salad. This week, I made sure sure he knew my order and voila, salad still has no dressing on it. While he was chopping, salad was flying all over the place and carelessly put into the bowl with the iffy lids. Guys — slow down, listen and observe. While we are all anxious to eat our great salads, it is not worth paying $ 10+ for something half done. I make an extra effort to get to this location because i drive downtown in the morning and then drive out right at lunch time. I have to find parking(impossible), but when i do, I am thrilled to get my salad. Please take the time to do the job thoroughly and pay attention.

This place is awesome! I’ve become a regular in the short time I’ve been working downtown, but don’t mind at all as it is almost impossible to find quick, healthy food around the 16th street mall. I usually take my lunch around noon-thirty in order to beat the lunch rush, and am in and outta there in less than 15 minutes. Be prepared to wait in line however if you go around the time they open, but never fear, it moves fairly quickly. Shout out to the GM Nick and the Staff of Green Fine … you guys do an excellent job.

I’m so sad to write this review because I used to be a regular at Green Fine Salad. I haven’t been very much in the winter time because who wants to eat a cold salad on a cold day? But today was a gorgeous day so I made the trek to this location. I know it can get busy after 11:30am so I decided to arrive before 11:30am. The line was already out the door and wrapped around Jimmy Johns. Normally, the line moves pretty quickly, but today, it was unusually slow. Once I go into the doorway, I could see that it was slow because there was only 1 guy making salads and 2 choppers. They were way understaffed for the lunch hour. I don’t know if it was the switch to Saladarity or what, but here are some of the cost cutting measures I noticed: — using recyclable black plastic bowls instead of the paper bowls made with recycled paper — prices were increased about a year ago, but that was ok because I felt like I was getting the same amount of food; now, I feel like I’m getting less food — bowls are more shallow(so I assume it holds less quantity than before) — you have to purchase 12 salads before you get a free salad(instead of 10) — the stainless steel bowls used to make your salad seem like the same ones as before, but the contents never fully fit back in the black bowl after chopping so there’s always wasted salad being sweeped up by the choppers and discarded(waste of food) — less staff on hand to handle busy lunch hour — bread is cut less on the diagonal so less bread(although slice is somewhat thicker so that might make up for less surface area) Unilocal has this place list as an under $ 10 place… there’s not much you can get here for under $ 10 after tax. I used to be able to get 2 meals out of a salad, but now, I can’t. The quality of the ingredients is still top notch, but not enough to redeem my latest experience. I understand the concept of inflation and staying competitive, but raising prices and decreasing the amount of food doesn’t sit well with me. Unfortunately, rather than coming here once every other week in the summer time, I will probably only come once or twice a year when I’m really craving it.

We jokingly call this place the«expensive» salad place, but they are normally worth it. Since the switch to Salidarity(way more CORPORATE!, uniforms and all) it has lost most of its charm. The old crew knew me by name and worked hard to make sure my hand held was WELLDONE(I am a little crazy about it!). Now, I feel like they are just pumping out salads and no one really likes what they are doing. Today there was no dressing on my salad and definitely no attempt was made to make it well done. I think I am on a break for a while, which makes me sad…

The salads/wraps are a bit more expensive than other options in the area but they’re usually worth it. Just make sure you keep an eye on them when they’re making your salad because. I always ask for no dressing, but its a high volume place, and they occasionally add dressing by mistake.

There are several different salad places really close to where I work downtown, and given that Green Fine Salad is a whopping two blocks from where I work(as opposed to less than a block for the others), I haven’t made it over in the year that I’ve worked downtown. I finally made it over today and was so disappointed in myself for not having gone before. I got the Metropolis, and it was really one of the best salads I’ve ever consumed. They chop all of the ingredients together before putting them in your bowl, and it makes a huge difference. Everything is evenly mixed so that you can get a little bit of everything in every bite. Their ingredients are fresh and high quality. Every time I bit into some fresh mozzarella in my salad it was like finding a gold nugget. They make their dressings in house and oh man — the aged sherry vinaigrette was phenomenal. Green Fine seems to really be a combination of my favorite things of the other salad places downtown, conveniently in one shop. Their prices are much more reasonable than Cava Greens, but their flavor and quality is far superior to that of Freshii’s. I definitely wish they had a better order online/pick up system, since lunch hour downtown can get insane and waiting in line for lunch can seriously eat up a 30 minute break, but I think in the future I will be dining here on a more regular basis. It’s just SO worth it for a healthy, yummy meal.

This place is great. I wish the salads weren’t $ 10, but they’re delicious and absolutely filling, so I’m willing to let the price slide. Today I got the Steakhouse Salad and I’m beyond pleased.

This place has multiple pros and cons. Pro: really good food Con: relatively expensive Pro: it’s fun to go here and order Con: it’s impossible to stay and eat due to noise Pro: long lines move fast and it’s worth it Con: long lines Here’s the other thing– the pricing system doesn’t make sense. If you get a handcrafted and add in the ingredients individually it’s cheaper than the Fine Salad Creations with the same exact ingredients. The line does move quickly, but it takes longer to check out than it does to make the salad because they only have one register going– one more of those jumps in logic I don’t quite understand. I always get the Santa Fe salad with tofu instead of chicken– great combo and quite delicious. Make sure you grab a slice of bread on the way out!

Delicious food, surly service! I am not ashamed with how much I loooooooove the steakhouse bleu salad. But, it is overpriced(hence our nickname«Million Dollar Salad), and we just aren’t cool enough to eat there, along with the other government and corporate drones. Service is surly, except for a couple pleasant folk. Better prices and better service would totally score 4.5 stars. 5 stars for weekend hours. I’d be happy to make a Saturday or Sunday lunchtime trek for a really amazing salad.

I literally go here every week so I think an upgrade is in order. While my first few visits were kinda loud and involved weird customers doing weird things, my last few have been just about perfect. I have made this my Tuesday lunch place. I get here right at 11a and it is a ghost town, so no yelling like when it is packed! All the servers are so friendly and smile, they make it a nice experience even if I am in there for less than 5 minutes! Oh and I absolutely love their dressings. I could marry the roasted 5-pepper and be very happy :) My go-to salads are the Santa Fe(chicken/beans/corn/cheese/roasted pepper) and the Cobb(with the stiletto vinaigrette). Oh and the steakhouse isn’t bad either! All in all it is a great place for a healthy lunch! Sure it will set you back a tenner, but it seems like all the salad places do nowadays! This one has a nice vibe, fresh ingredients and great signature salads! I will be back, probably next Tuesday!

Good fresh salad spot and it should be 4 stars but here’s why they’re not: 1) Too much dressing. I know different people like different amounts of dressing so this is one of those really subjective issues, but the friend I was eating with also had the same reaction: «Wow, the salad’s swimming in dressing.» My view of the world: Swimming is good for exercise. Not for salads. 2) A bit too pricey. The basic salad only comes with 4 non-meat/specialty items. That’s at least one too few to make sense since they actually charge for things that other salad shops provide for free, like croutons.
