Hmm… I thought I have written a review some time ago about JCPenney at this location. Boy am I wrong! Anyways, thankfully I managed to purchase something for Hubs. Its difficult to shop for Hubs who likes certain things, especially the Apparel he like to wear. Hence to this JCPenney I went with my friend. That recent visit was on Monday February 9th2015. Time was about 10:35hrs ish. The personnel who handled my transaction her name is Kathy. All in all, an OK JCPenney store provide they have the things I want and need to purchase. In addition to this, its GOODONLY if they offer the discount when needed! SCORE! JCPenney Store #2966 8568 E. 49th Ave, Denver, CO80238 Tel:(303)-576−6661 @42/2015

Not only has JCP upgraded their styles/selections, their prices are always fantastic, and when I went to this store over the holidays, I couldn’t believe how well organized and clean it was for a pre-Christmas weekend, with lots of customers in the store. Clearly a well-run store.

So to me JCP are all exactly the same, but this one has one little thing better than the others(that I have been too), their checkouts are far more organized! I usually go to the Southlands JCP and they have the old style check outs with multiple short counters and it is a free for all to pick which line you go in, but this one has put all the registers in one line along a front wall and has one queue — much more efficient. Otherwise it is your run of the mill JCP(with a Sephora). Parking is free and plentiful in their lot, which at Northfield is a plus.

JC Penney’s has had a bit of rough time in the last decade or so, but seems to be turning things around, and this new location in Northfield is representative of the brand and the changes taking place. Name brands like Izod and Levi’s have replaced or supplemented store-only imprints. The housewares section is full of useful stuff like reasonable flatware, small electronics(like sandwich presses), and a decent linens section. The men’s ware section was a bit limited for me personally, but I was still able to locate a few items that worked for me, and I found the fragrances counter to be ok. Lots of available parking in the southeast corner of the shopping area makes getting in and out a breeze and I found the staff members to be congenial and quick to notice when I was ready to check out. Like any department store, there will be some things you can only get there, some things you can do better elsewhere and some things you couldn’t pay me to take out of there. Welcome back JC Penney’s, I hope you can stay around a while.

Needed a new outfit or two for an upcoming function and figured to stop on in since I was in Northfield. Loved the new bright, spring clothing lines they have out right now and found a couple of items that worked. It also helped that since we were couponless, the woman at the checkout counter very kindly scanned a coupon that she had(probably for the nice customer like me hehe) and we saved $ 13! Can’t complain. Any savings these days are good savings!

Way to go JCP. You forced my sister, who had worked there for 34 years, into early retirement, but I forgive you. She needed a break anyway. We haven’t seen her on a holiday in 34 years. I am a Big fan of the new JCP! Who knew? I dropped in today after one of my more stylish friends had started to shop there. This is a girl who is all Louis Vuitton bags and Dior shoes, so I had to check it out. I was looking for casual wear, and boy was I pleasantly surprised! I came home with 3 whole outfits for about $ 100, and one of them was a $ 50 work dress. Woo hoo! I was a little put off by some of the fabrics… too shiny and not breathable, but there was a lot to choose from, and I was able to finish my summer wardrobe, so yay me. THEN…I saw a star in the east with a beam that I had to follow. Sephora! Right. In. The. JCP Store. Okay, so maybe I can’t brag anymore about saving a ton of $$, but it’s a problem I have with makeup and skincare products. Don’t judge.

Wow, so the Ellen commercials don’t lie, JCP has completely revamped itself and I’m diggin it! I’ve always gone to JCP to buy work clothes but in the past few years I’ve found myself going there to buy casual clothes. Their selection has really picked up in the past few years and no longer am I ashamed to say I bought a cute top at JCP! The energy at this location is amazing – bright lights, fast music and really friendly employees. They have a Sephora located in it as well so I can kill two birds with one stone when there. Since they did away with the Door Busters savings they used to be famous for, I can now sleep in and go here at 10am without having to worry if I’m going to get a deal or not.

I used to sleep on JC Penney, but I’ve been surprised in the past few years that a lot of their work appropriate clothes are quite fashionable. There are still some dogs or are for a specific age, which is fine. There are choices, which are quite good. Additionally for me to find pants is often a chore. The JCP store brand, Worthington, offers a curvy fit pants which suits me just right. JCP used to offer great sales and if you sign up for the JCP Rewards card, free of charge, if you get so many points in a month, you get a $ 10 reward to use the following month. They’ve started a new marketing campaign called Fair and Square, so I’m not sure how this works yet, but this location is great. It’s far away from an actual mall and the size is quite large. If this location doesn’t have what I’m looking for, I might roll out to Park Meadows, but I’m quite happy at Northfield to get my neighborhood shop on.
