First we started out with crab cheese wonton and egg rolls. I’ve had better at Costco. Or maybe they are from Costco, and they let them freeze for a couple of weeks. Bottom line mediocre at best. I had the sweet and sour pork and my wife had the lo mein. Pork was dry and the breading was bland. Wife’s Lo Mein was good. We also had boba tea with our meal. I feel like this place goes to a Chinese food whole sale company and buys all the«just microwave» foods. The boba tasted like it was mixed from a single serve packet. Wife’s tasted even worse. But at the end of the day, you just want quick, cheap Chinese. This place with curb that craving.

I rarely give poor reviews, but this may have been some of the worst food I’ve had in my life. The sushi tasted what I imagine cat food would taste like — disgusting! It was like the tuna and scallops were water logged and old. Even the rice was horrible! The Wor Wonton soup was tasteless. The dumplings were cold. The Pad Thai was mediocre at best — really greasy with poor quality shrimp. Very disappointed. Just wasted $ 50.

Sure it is a little tricky to spot right away, but this breathtaking restaurant is located in dear old Sakura Square on 19th St. They obtain the best and most upscale, friendliest service that I could find. The main lady working there is so sweet, down to earth, and actually gets her customers! Every time we had dined here, she often make sweet and easy conversations and made us feel totally welcomed. I enjoyed this fine restaurant and hope you will too. Cheers!

The staff was very friendly, but the food was awful and far too expensive for the quantity they gave you. I do not recommend this place. We ordered the Triple Delight Hunan Style, Hot and Sour Soup, and Pork Chow Fun. Everything was ridiculously salty except for the soup. The Chow Fun was dry and the noodles were a little hard. Its flavor was not much else besides soy sauce. The quantity rice that came with the meals was smaller than a baseball. The texture was dry and crunchy. Everything came to about $ 34, which to us seemed like a lot considering the quantity and quality of the food.

I was completely disappointed in the food I received by delivery to my hotel room while attending a conference. I ordered fried shrimp and sweet and sour pork. The fried shrimp and the breaded pork tasted like they were fried in oil that needed to be changed like a week ago. The sweet and sour sauce must have come out of a restaurant supply tin can labeled«grade C sweet and sour sauce.» What was originally a craving turned into a sour and not so sweet stomach. Spend $ 40 at the hotel restaurant. Your body will thank you.

I don’t often give restaurants a low score, but I felt like this one deserved it. The food was simply not good. It is possible I came at a bad time(12:00 on a Wednesday?), because there were only two workers in the entire restaurant. That may explain the old rice which my wife described as having a taste of «wet clothes». We sat for some time without being helped and the staff is lacking in English(which is something I normally attribute to more authentic). The actual platter was ok, but they charged me more than what was on the menu, like more than 1.50 more per plate, which brought this restaurant from a 3 to a 1 for me. No thanks for service or welcoming into the restaurant. Will not return and will definitely not recommend to others.

Dinner at 5:00 before a Rockies game and we were the only ones in the restaurant. Ordered California roll and crabmeat was imitation. Maguro tuna was frozen when brought to the table. Skip this place. Also they don’t take AMEX.

I am one happy camper. I ordered the Chicken Mei Fun noodles, which were like a party in my mouth. The eggrolls were even good without sauce! I was pleasantly suprised by the entire interaction. The service was quick(we got delivery), the food was warm and it was good. Definitely recommend! Though, the fortune cookie was not quite funny or clever, so could improve there.

Pretty expensive considering the quality. I’ve tried multiple things on the menu and all of them have been disappointing.

This place has gone down hill! They used to be so good. They mess up every order, they refuse to correct it, and they are rude! I won’t be doing business with them ever again. Found a new place called Masa which is amazing!!!

I’m not sure that even a star is appropriate but… I ordered and had delivered«happy family» and Vietnamese egg rolls and while the restaurant is only 2 blocks away, the food was barely warm. The egg rolls were oddly brown and not crispy, at all. The pork inside was mealy and not something I took a second bite of. The happy family was not much better. Not only were the veggies soggy and horribly overcooked but the chicken and beef were questionable in their quality. I’ve never eaten a dish that included the ENTIRE shell on the shrimp and am certain those were not scallops. Never again…

My panang curry was water w a hint of peanut. Horrible food and horrible customer service. Don’t bother to tell them that your food was subpar– they just will tell you that you do not know anything.

I ordered 3 lunch specials for delivery. We got the chicken lo-mein, sesame chicken, and the kung pao chicken. I thought the food was fine, it wasn’t outstanding. It was clear it wasn’t all white chicken, and the lo-mein was pretty greasy. The fried rice didn’t have much to it, but it wasn’t bad. The egg rolls were actually really good, I am not usually a fan, but I loved these egg rolls! It was fairly cheap, $ 25.50 before tip, and it was delivered within like 30 minutes!

Having been a regular customer for the last three years, I can tell you JJ’s has great portions, tasty food, friendly service(they remember my address and name), and quick delivery. Special requests are happily granted. There is no better Chinese food in downtown Denver!

Diagonal from my apartment building, JJ’s Bistro is located on the second floor of the open rooftop-ish plaza mall called«Sakura Square». While I do wish Sakura Square had more to it, as the«square» itself is such a sad waste of space with vacant areas at every turn, JJ’s is easy to get to & super convenient. In regard to ordering, I recommend the Chicken Fried Rice. At times their chicken tastes more like dried scallops than the poultry intention, but the dish is still yummy! The Sweet & Sour Chicken is typical and the Kung Pao Chicken has waaayy too many peanuts & celery bits. Crab Rangoon is another typical item while JJ’s Fortune Cookies always tells lies! I will say that the last time I was there, I was charged around $ 22 for the same thing I was charged $ 29 for last night. When I asked the cashier about it, all she said was«I don’t believe you.» Soooo their customer service definitely SUCKS but their food & location will persevere.

This place is kind of pricey for small portions. $ 43(not including tip) for two people with water for drinks. The food is Americanized Chinese and it’s not very good. Honestly, I would have been better off going to Mr. Panda buffet. It would have been way cheaper for the same quality of food. We ordered steamed pork dumplings, pork lo mein, salt & pepper shrimp, and chicken with mixed vegetables. The dumplings were meh. Pretty bland and mushy. The lo mein was really saucy with lots of meat, but no real taste. The salt and pepper shrimp was probably the most disappointing thing ever. I’m used to head-on, shell-on, deep-fried shrimp seasoned with salt, garlic, and green chili peppers. This stuff was just peeled, fried shrimp with salt and bell peppers. It wasn’t horrendous, it just wasn’t what I expected/wanted. As for the chicken with mixed vegetables, don’t order it. There was chicken in it and vegetables, but not sure what the milky, gelatinous sauce drowning this dish was made of. Service was friendly, but a bit slow despite the restaurant being almost empty. Bathrooms were clean with the exception of the hand soap being dispensed out of a tupperware container.

(Warning — Treat this as a Chinese restaurant and you will not be disappointed. Their Sushi is awful. But the Chinese food is probably some of the best I have had in Colorado.) Sesame Chicken and Lemon Chicken are what we still have when we go there… both were very well prepared… moist without being greasy. The Sesame chicken was crispy on the outside despite being in sauce. I would go so far to say it is the best I have had at a Chinese Restaurant so far. I like how it does not need to be drowned in sauce. The Chicken would actually be great even without sauce. Service is always great whenever we go there. This is my choice for Chinese downtown. I can’t think of anywhere better.

From a delivery standpoint I do not recommend ordering sushi items. When delivered the sashimi and sushi arrived frozen!!! When I called to let the owner know she said«All her fish is frozen» Nothing wrong with frozen fish, just do not serve frozen!
