Junior League of Denver

As a new member of this organization I could not be more disappointed. I am giving three stars because I do think not ALL members are as I will describe. This is NOT a service organization. It is a SOCIAL organization. EVERY and I mean EVERY event I have attended is centered around drinking. Even their General Meetings have a cash bar!
I joined because I care about literacy which is the Denver Junior Leagues focus. Of the volunteering I have signed up for during the past year, over 10 different groups, each experience was incredibly disorganized.
Further I attended a General Meeting in December where this organization with 1.8 Million in it’s accounts voted to buy a building for it’s headquarters for 1.5 Million that STILL needs to be made ADA compliant! I imagine members can expect dues to dramatically increase. And could that money be put to better use?
Bottom line this is NOT the Junior League my mother knew. If you are interested in truly helping people this is probably not the organization for you. If you are interested in parties. Join up!

Such a fun gift show. I even bought a gift for the male I need to buy something for so excited. I bought a few gifts but sadly nothing for me. Don’t worry I have purchased many things for myself lately. Hehehe
Next get yourself to the Junior League Gift Show. You should not be disappointef

I love the Junior League of Denver! This is such a fabulous organization of women that truly care about bettering the community and finding ways to keep their members and volunteers engaged in the organization.
