Okay may I start out by saying this was one of the best pizzas I ever had. My best friend and I were visiting out of town and decided to go out for pizza. We order a Speciality one with peppers and Spicy Salami and a few other things… lol we ate it so fast I forgot what else was on it! The crust was rustic and flavorful. The ingredients were fresh and mouth watering… As we finish up eating my friend insist on having dessert so we look and I really wanted to try the bread pudding and she wanted to try the doughnut holes… So I compromised and we got the doughnut holes. Best choice ever these were astonishing and made me realize I will pay any price for sweet moist doughnut balls coated in cinnamon and sugar with a dipping sauce!!! So happy we tried them. Our waiter was very helpful and down to earth. Keep up the good work and please don’t stop whatever your doing to the doughnut hole. Love love love them!!!

We split several appetizers and every selection was delicious. What we tried: Apple Salad, Cheese Curds, Tomato Basil Soup, Smoked cheese pizza. Everything was wonderful! Yum yum yum. The restaurant was crowded and the waiter was cranky but we were served very quickly and the food was marvelous. We shared a variety of grazing options with a vegan and we all left happy. This restaurant provides a wonderful selection for any type of eater. I would definitely go here again. Details: The Apple Salad was arugula, apple slices and bits of brie and some sort of glazed nut(walnut? who cares!) drizzled in a vinaigrette dressing. Crispy, fresh and the plate was cleared. Cheese curds pretty close to what you would get in Wisconsin trust a Midwest cheese lover. We only wished there were more as I found my tablemates hording. There are a few cheese pizza options, ask the waiter which one has the smoked cheese. The best part was the crust. Maybe the put some Denver delight on it who cares I ate my crust and I never ever do. Soup was delicious just wish the cup was bigger

Great pizza… Except we were asked to leave b/c others were waiting for our table. Never once have I had a fellow patron approach our table and ask us when we were leaving«b/c they had kids with them and had to get to a show». Then, the manager approached us and asked us to leave b/c others were waiting for our tables. We were a larger party of friends enjoying a night out and catching up, but was cut short b/c someone else complained. It was their choice to wait not knowing when a table was going to be available, and they then complained about us staying too long. Pretty incredible.

This is my favorite place for happy hour hands down. The service has been excellent every time. It’s not usually so busy right after work that we can’t find a spot for a group and they’re happy to answer questions about the menu. The happy hour menu is perfect, plenty of food options at happy hour prices. I usually get the fresh mozzarella pizza, it’s probably my favorite pizza in Denver(so far). I believe they said they make the cheese daily. The hand cut fries are good also. My favorite drink is their cranberry/vodka/lemon/sage something, I don’t remember the name. I would recommend getting a table or bar top. They have short couches in front that make it easy for groups to come in and park it but they’re vinyl/faux leather and the restaurant is always warm. The restaurant itself is charming and clean. The food and drinks are affordable and delicious.

Great location in downtown on 16th street. Parking was a little tough, eventually found a meter parking spot after a few laps but expected for that area. I wanted the smoking margarita but it wasn’t what I thought it was going to be and I just couldn’t drink it. But our waiter was very nice and took it off our bill and got me another drink. I tried one of there cider beers and it was much better. We started off with cheese curds and they were really good, we got a second order for the table because they were gone so quick. I split the napolitana pizza with my boyfriend. It was perfect amount to split. The pizza was good but next time I would try a different pizza.

Like I saw in a previous review, I pretty much stumbled across this place while walking around downtown Denver. I only have a few things to say about this place, and they’re all great. Above average beer selection, great atmosphere, special emphasis on local, seasonal ingredients, and EXCELLENT pizza. My girlfriend and I had the pork belly appetizer(served with fresh arugula, pear, and butternut squash if I recall), and the figs in a blanket pizza. Both were phenomenal. Highly recommended.

I was recently in town for work and noticed that they state Gluten-Free on their descriptor so decided to check it out. A few important notes about their GF menu: — The GF pizza only comes in a 14″ and has an upcharge of $ 5. — They only had a few other items that were GF I had two salads — the special which was a quinoa salad, and the cesar. Both were okay… honestly, nothing too special and certainly seemed pretty expensive for what I got. I’d return to try the pizza but i won’t go out of my way to come here.

Stumbled across this place while walking about in downtown Denver. We had the steak sandwich, pear salad & pepperoni pizza. All of the dishes were fresh and delicious. What put this place over the top was our server Chase he was super efficient, friendly and had great recommendations!

Sigh. I had higher hopes for this place. It was a busy Saturday night in Denver, so perhaps the affected the experience. But aren’t most Saturday nights busy? We were given a gift card by the manager to try them again and I will — hopefully I can upgrade my review after that. Why three stars? My first cocktail, the lavender vodka collins, seemed to be mostly ice. It was gone in about 3 sips of the straw. Could’ve been the style of drink, but then if there’s so little«drink» to put in it, don’t serve it in a high ball filled 2⁄3 with ice. Our server suggested the same drink served as a martini. This was MUCH better. Didn’t taste watered down and could be enjoyed longer. The second reason for the 3-stars was because our pizzas came out to the table cold. The flavor was good, but who wants made-to-order pizza served cold? Hint: not me. Now for the pluses and why I’ll give them a second chance another time: 1. Our server and the man who came to apologize for the cold pizza with the gift card were both gracious, friendly and our server«made it right» both with my drink order and by having the kitchen re-make our pizzas. 2. The hot replacement pizzas were great. Excellent flavor with generous toppings. We polished it off! 3. The bacon peanut brittle while not super heavy on the bacon was tasty and a fun way to start our meal. 4. The peach salad on the summer menu was delightful. The basil vinaigrette dressing was unusual, fragrant and good. If the other issues hadn’t occurred they’d be a solid 4 – 4.5 star joint!

Stumbled upon on a all day Sunday happy hour today. 3.50 drafts, I chose to enjoy a New Belgium Snapshot. 14″ pizzas at 6 – 7 bucks i their simplest form and you can add some choice cured meats for under $ 5. The waiter was great. He explained my options and grated Parmesan cheese from and actually block onto my pizza. The crust is the bomb. Very good experience.

The cheese curds and beer selection are top-of-the line, and the atmosphere is fun! The time we went(right after a Rockies game), the service was a bit slow, but that is to be expected.

We searched for a pizza place in LoDo and Lucky Pizza Pie was great! We had The Mozz and added the house sausage. It was yummy. The crust was soft and yet crispy. The tomato sauce was wonderfully tomato-y, as it should be. We shared the fried cheese curds(Oh My!), the pear salad(yum) and the pizza. I also added a local IPA from Berthoud, CO. Give this place a try, we loved it!

We had arrived in Denver a few hours before and wanted to find a good place to eat. After the recommendation of a friend, we drove over to Lucky Pie. There is parking nearby, so it took us less than a minute to walk there from the car. Once we arrived, we were quickly seated. Our waitress was very attentive and arrived when we needed her. Now to the food: First we ordered bacon peanut brittle and fried squeaky curds. I am not a fan of peanuts, but the bacon peanut brittle was better than most of the peanut brittles I have eaten. The squeaky curds were really good. I don’t usually like cheese and I enjoyed them. After that, I got the Lamb Meatball Sandwich. It was amazing. Best meatball sandwich I had ever had. On a side note, on the back of the clipboard menus are some pie charts, some serious and some not as serious.

Lucky Pie is one of the BEST restaurants in Denver. I could eat here 7 days a week and love every minute of it. It could be because my love of cheese is out of control but how can you not love it when places like Lucky Pie have so much cheese to offer?! I’ve never loved pizza that much(I know, weird) but after eating here, I have completely been switched over to the dark side of pizza loving. Make sure you order the squeaky cheese curds and try a few freshly made cheeses to start as well. Don’t forget the balsamic to go with the cheeses. This is the best balsamic you will ever eat. I order more for my pizza to put on top as well because I just can’t get enough. Everytime I go, everyone is happy with their pizza and I haven’t heard of anything not being good. They also have an awesome beer selection that any beer lover would be happy about. There’s a great happy hour as well that makes for cheap drinks and a cheap dinner. I HIGHLY reccomend Lucky Pie for lunch, happy hour, or dinner!

Lucky Pie Pizza and Tap House has been on our list for quite a while. We finally decided to try it. Interior — reds, browns, blacks, brick, nice, clean, comfortable, welcoming. There are two parts to the restaurant, or, really three. We sat at a high top directly next to the bar– very nice and relaxing. There is a short wall that separates other tables from the bar area — also looked relaxing. Everyone sitting in that area seemed to be enjoying themselves. There is also a separate area back by where the pizza oven area is. You can sit at the«pizza making bar area» too. We truly liked the feel of this restaurant, right as we walked in the front door. The door area is separated by another door, which I truly like. I don’t like it when you walk into a restaurant, from the front door, and there you are, directly in the restaurant. You feel the cold or hot air when you walk in, or when you are waiting to be seated. This is not so at this restaurant. They thought out the entrance, which is nice to see. Food– Antipasti: a. Charcuterie — hand cured meats, ask for the daily(?) selections b. House made cheese Small plates(here are a few, plus others not mentioned) — a. Mozzarella b. pork belly c. lamb meatballs d. fried squeaky curds — the waitress highly recommended these, when we asked for suggestions. She said they were, «a heart attack, but so worth it,» or something like that. We took her suggestion, and ordered them. They were good, but nothing that you HAVE to have. Salads(here are a few, plus others not mentionerd) — a. Fresh mozz b. The Cheech — San Marzano tomato sauce, smoked mozzarella, oregano. We did not have a salad. Not Pizza — A few sandwiches and a burger. We did not order from this area of the menu. Pizza — There were quite a few to choose from, all sounded really good. They are thin crust, so know that before you go, just in case the thin crust pizza is not to your liking. We ordered the Pepperoni Pizza(San Marzano tomato sauce, Salumeria Biellese pepperoni, mozzarella, pecorino), and added the housemade sausage. I must admit, that the pepperoni was a bit spicy, but it was good. What I liked about this particular pizza was the housemade sausage that we had added to the pizza. The sausage was light, not too spicy, and it basically melted in your mouth! Oh My Gosh, it was WONDERFUL!!! I would love to have a pizza with just that sausage on it. There was just the right amount of pizza sauce on the pizza, as well as just the right amount of cheese. Desserts — There are 4 desserts to choose from. We choose to share the Brick Oven Pie. This pie is baked to order seasonal fruit pie with a streusel top. This sounded scrumptious! The pie dough is their pizza dough baked as the crust, with a fruit filling. Sounds good, right? Once served, the pie was small, the perfect size to split between 2, if not 3, people. I really liked the idea of the pie, it sounded good. It really could have been better. The pie was dry, if you can imagine that. They need to put more of the fruit syrup in the pie, or something else with it. The crust was burned in several areas, and was hard to get out of the little dish. If you want my recommendation, don’t go for the Brick Oven Pie, it wasn’t worth it. Drinks — This restaurant has a tap of 27 beers. The beers are not your«average» beer. So, be prepared to have your taste buds«dance with joy!» Lucky Pie does use organic, and tries to purchase locally, so that’s great! I love it when restaurants try this. Final thoughts — we were glad we finally tried Lucky Pie Pizza. The beer menu was broad, and that was nice to see. The restaurant tries to go with organic and locally grown whenever possible, also a positive. The pizza was good, but nothing spectacular. I would like to try more of their housemade meats, and cheeses. That is all.

Awesome atmosphere. Came here on a rainy Thursday and was seated with my party within 15 minutes. Downtown parking can be a pain, but lucky for you… there’s a pay to park parking lot right across the street. They do not take reservations for small parties though. This pizza place not only has beer, but a good selection of wine, and mixed drinks. Get the fried curds to start… fried, salty cheese… don’t think about the calories! For our pizza we got the clam one(it was ok) and a pepperoni. The slices aren’t too big and the crust is thin. Just the way I like it! For dessert, do yourself a favor is get the pie of the day. We ended up with a mixed berry pie with a side of icecream. Just like grams made! The service here is great too. I wish I loved the pizza but unfortunately my heart is loyal to Marcos coal fire and osteria. Such a fun place to grab a slice and brews with friends though!
