I got my haircut, on Wednesday by Nigel. It is a fantastic and versatile cut. He really listened to my input, then suggested a really cool cut. I would call him a master stylist. I highly recommend his services.

This is one of the better barber/​salons in the area. When you see Lucky 13 and Misfits bar stools, and when the staff exhibit Nikki Sixx tattoos, and know who the hell Demented Are Go are, you know you are likely in good hands for a pompadour. Sanja was great, and I would recommend her for your greaser needs. They also carry a cool Dutch pomade.
The pricing can be different than what is listed on the website, so I recommend asking what specific stylists prices may be if unsure. $ 30 for a cut is still pretty high to me, but the extra few bucks are worth it when you consider the alternatives. If you have any sense of style, the difference between routine, strip-​mall joints charging $ 20 – 25, and Lux de Vil will be worth it, and you can leave that scene looking like a few hundred bucks (1950s style).

Nigel is absolutely amazing! He takes his time and makes sure your hair is perfect. His ombré game is seriously on point, too!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Nigel … First off I love the way he cut my hair Secondly the product line he recommended for my hair type made my hair feel so healthy and look radiant after just 3 weeks and Thirdly (which is the most important) I trusted him w my Blond. Being from California… I know blonde and various studios in Denver have trashed my hair … Orange is not the new blonde … Nigel thought out of the box w trying to fix others mistakes and I love my hair. Finally safe to say I have found my Denver hair artist! Highly recommend for ashy blondes.

I love Nigel. He remembers stuff about me even if I rarely come in, he’s funny and nice, and he gave me big, stripper hair the first time I saw him. There was bounce in my hair and my step that lasted months.
But this last time, he seemed distracted by phone calls and a visitor, and the cut was lackluster. It had no movement and seemed flatter than before he cut it. We played phone tag about it for a bit, and then my last text message to him went unanswered. So… I guess that’s that.
I hate finding new stylists.

I found Sanja on Groupon when I was searching for a new stylist who could color my long thick hair without damaging it. I’ve had others not take extra measures to ensure the protection while coloring it and they caused bad damage. So I didn’t want to pay full price if the result wasn’t what I wanted.
After talking to 4 stylists, I felt Sanja was the stylist who I could trust. She worked for 6.5 hours on my hair making sure it was perfect. She walked me through the whole process. I am very happy with the color and it’s a big change for me! I have to color my roots 2 times per month and the over color had been causing it to blacken. She corrected that and made the ombré look so cool! Which was a 2 step process which was what took so long.
She also trimmed and styled it. See for yourself the result. Tell her Kimberly sent you!

I am very picky and particular with my hair and I have never, ever had a better stylist than PAUL! He has done my hair several times now and I always receive the best compliments on my hair because of him. Every time I go in there he amazes me with how great of a job he does. He is perfect with colors, he is quick, he always makes you look super glamorous with they way he styles your hair and he is so easy and fun to talk to. This salon in general is amazing and the best one I have ever been to and Paul will be my only stylist from now on! I have already sent a few member of my family, friends and co workers to him and they all love their hair now too! :)

I bought a Groupon for a cut, full highlights, deep conditioning treatment and style for $ 99. I was told that my appointment was at 11:30am on Saturday. I arrived for my appointment and was told that the salon doesn’t even open until noon. That I found strange that the employees don’t know their own hours, but that’s nothing compared to what happened with my hair! So, my appointment didn’t start until noon and I brought in a few pics of a blonde and brown ombré idea that we both agreed on for the color. She even had the same ombré in her hair, which was exactly what we were supposed to be doing to mine, except hers were different colors, but exactly the same look. I also asked for a peek at boo of purple and hot pink.
To make a long story short, she bleached my hair blonde on the bottom half and then added the brown top color and the pink and purple. Well, let’s just say that I was there for 6 hours!!! 6!!! I didn’t leave until 5:30pm!!! On top of that, my hair came out completely BROWN!!! The pink and purple were also done wrong and are so dull, you can barely see them!
I told her that I didn’t understand because we went through the pics, picked out the 4 colors and she even had the same stye in her own hair, so why was mine solid brown??? Why did we waste 2 hours bleaching my hair initially for her to color it all brown and not leave the ends blonde like she was supposed to? She responded «Well the lighting isn’t very good in here,» but that I’d be able to see the 2 tones in better lighting! Seriously??? Then she said that if she would’ve left the blonde part that it would’ve been orange apparently. Why wasn’t this discussed during the process then? Oh man I was and am so disappointed and irritated with my entire day wasted for a dull brown ugly all over color and a lousy pink and purple streak that is dull and could’ve been done at home with a box color. To top it all off, I never got a «conditioning treatment» either, which was included in the package that I paid for. I’ll add pics to share. I’m super upset about my wasted time and $$. Super not cool.

Love my cut from Destiny, so happy to find a salon I like in Denver. Can’t wait to come back for color.

I haven’t really done much with my hair since our little one arrived so it’s long, heavy and had no shape. Nigel transformed it! I’m SO happy with the cut. And for a first time mom getting out of the house for some solo pamper time, he made it a great experience. The head massage felt great and he even added in an arm massage while my hair was being deep conditioned. I’ve found my go to stylist!

This was my first time to Luxe De Vil and I have never been so happy with my hair than after seeing Sanja. She worked her artistic magic and my hair looks amazing. The environment is fun and relaxing. All the stylist commented on my new look and made me feel great. We defiantly be going to this salon for the rest of my life.

This is the first Salon I’ve been to in Denver since moving here five years ago. I had been doing my hair myself for years and it was in dire need of help. That’s when I met Nigel. Whatever witchcraft he performed on my over-​possessed, damaged hair worked because I have not been this in love with my hair, ever. He was very straight up about what we could do and what just wouldn’t work, and talked me through every step while he worked his magic. Almost four hours later and I am a changed woman.
I’ve decided that we will now be in a long-​term hair relationship and my days of DIY dyes are over.

I came here with a Groupon for a chemical peel, which I had never had before. Being new to the facial world, I was slightly worried that the staff would tell me everything that was wrong with my skin or just try to sell me unnecessary products. I could not have been more wrong!
Janell was friendly from the second she introduced herself; I felt like I was hanging out with a good friend the whole time! She talked me through the whole process, gave me product recommendations that have done wonders, and taught me a bunch of stuff that I didn’t know about my skin.
I had such a great time (super relaxing atmosphere) and saw such wonderful results (breakouts & dullness disappeared, and my skin looks unbelievably healthy) that I’ve made it part of my routine to make regular appointments with Janell. She is the best!

When I moved to Denver from Florida I was a bit lost when it came to my big weaknesses: massages and facials. I used the combination of Unilocal and Groupon to help me «try out» a place for my facial and massage needs. Thank goodness for that combination because if you are a massage and facial junkie like me, it can get expensive and finding the right person can be hard.
I found Jenny! Jenny, whom I believe is one of the owners of the salon, made me feel so at home. Her massage/​facial room is quaint and the lady knows her stuff. She uses Dermalogica products and advises you on what she believes you need for your skin. I could care less at that point because for me it is all about the relaxation. I left that first visit floating on air!
I have been back several times since and actually had a new girl give me a facial and she did a great job as well! I really appreciate that they offer promotions for massage and facials often.

I came in here with the groupon deal. I was new to Denver, had been traveling, and my hair was looking pretty bad.
Nigel was really great. He completely fixed my hair, which wasn’t taking well to the dryness, and gave it tips to maintain it in Denver (I came from California which was a bit more moist). He’s really great with both color and cut, and is engaging/​friendly the entire time.
I’d definitely recommend getting your hair cut here!

I went ahead and posted some pictures of my hair. I was told that I asked for platinum hair but that was never a thing. I even had an example picture of what (I can even post the example I gave.) I wanted and I can ensure you that I didn’t ask for platinum blonde.
I’m shocked at how rude the manager was to me for my review.

I needed to find a new person to do my hair after an unforeseen problem with the last person a few days before my birthday.
Paul Salas got me right in, got my hair cut and styles to perfection and I am super happy!
Also, Paul now does my nails and I couldn’t be more pleased with them!

I highly recommend Nigel. I am usually very cautions with health/​beauty services, but I always trust Nigel 100% to take care of me. He is a perfectionist. What more can you ask of your stylist.

I visited Luxe de Vil Salon for the first time this weekend for an appointment with my friend, Paul Salas. I’ve worked with Paul at Namaste Salon last year and I was always really impressed with how he cut and styled my hair. Being a stylist myself, it’s almost harder to find someone to cut your hair. or maybe its just me. Either way, I was happy to see Paul into a new, friendly, professional but laid-​back environment.
I loved the location in the art district on Santa Fe Drive as well as the interior décor. The receptionists were very friendly and super quick to make sure I was as comfortable as possible before retrieving my stylist. They also carry my FAVORITE product line ever, Kevin Murphy. Paul was super efficient with my haircut and did exactly what I said and wanted. Visiting Paul at Luxe was a very pleasurable experience from start to finish. I recommend anyone to come here to see Paul or Nigel, they’re both great stylist that I know personally, very well.

I’ve been coming here for about four years, all I have to say is I absolutely love them. April and Tina have both done my extensions multiple times, which turned out lovely. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for weave in extensions (not sure if they specialize in other types). Jenny is an amazing massage therapist. very thorough and always leave feeling like a million bucks. The salon is gorgeous with Sandi Calistro artwork out front and different first Friday art every month. If this is your first visit, they offer great deals through Unilocal and groupon.
UPDATE: Luxe started carrying AMAZING products by Kevin Murphy and Dermalogica! Go get chya’ some!
