My wife and I made reservations on-line. We received verification that our reservation was accepted. However, when we arrived, we were informed that the dining room would not be open for another 2 hours. We were disappointed because we wanted the ambiance of the dining room to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Instead of the dining room, we were seated in the bar. We noticed that several of the tables were still dirty. When we asked to sit at a different table, we were told it was reserved. The table was still available 2 hours later when we were leaving. That was just for starters. The appetizers were good, but the main meals we ordered were overcooked, the broccoli was wilted and soggy. I was expecting the ahi tuna I ordered to be a tuna steak, not 6 very small slivers served like sushi. The lobster tail my wife ordered was grilled, not steamed like it was stated in the menu. The potatoes and brussel sprouts were burnt. On top of all this, the waitress provided little to no service. She was more of a bar maid then wait staff. She never returned to the table to ask about our meal nor did she ask us if we wanted dessert. When we informed her that we were disappointed about the meal she asked us if we wanted to join the frequent diners club. Needless to say we will not be going back. The food was terrible and very over priced. The service was horrendous. Think twice before choosing McCormick’s.

Went over because the fancy bar was so crowded and was pleasantly surprised! Had a great bartender that recommended the raspberry mule and it was delightful. Sour and sweet… hit all the right notes! Great service and clean environment!

What. Did I. Just. Experience. Came here with a group of 7 for a Christmas lunch. We were one of 2 tables on the left dining room. Server — not cut out for an elevated dining experience. Couldn’t give descriptions of different oysters on the menu at a fish restaurant. Not very organized. Appetizers — they forgot one of them. The crab tower tasted fishy and maybe old. Entrees — mine was good, the lobster chopped salad was impressive, others were okay, but my bosses wife order a well burger, it came rare, so we sent it back and got a new one, which was even more rare than the first. She just didn’t eat. All of this could have been made better if we were drunk, but drinks take about 25 minutes to get to you. Bummed.

Painfully slow service! The food was decent, the prices were a bit high for the quality. $ 75 for 2 people is rather high especially when the quality and flavors could be so much better. They were steady but not packed on a Friday night, I couldn’t understand why the service was so slow. From the point we asked for our check and to go boxes it took about 45 minutes to get wrapped up and leave. The bulk of the tables had cleared by this time as well so the wait seemed ridiculous. The server forgot the checks on 2 separate occasions, but kept trying to get us to join some rewards club. For me this is not worth a second try. Hopefully others will have a better experience.

For the prices that are at this restaurant they are ridiculous I supposedly had an Angus aged rubbed steak that look like it came out of a box of frozen steaks no seasoning blend is hell a chef that is in charge of this restaurant needs to get his eyes checked the only thing he could be an executive chef at is a Denny’s we spent over $ 1200 for party there I am suggesting another restaurant that has better quality food in this one will ever have highly disappointed would not recommend this to a homeless man

Went here for Thanksgiving dinner. Won’t go back. The stuffed shrimp was way too ‘fishy’ for my taste. And besides that, it just wasn’t good. My mom enjoyed her traditional Thanksgiving meal, but she’s much easier to please! The service was great, though. And the place was packed. Two stars because their wedge salad was great(but no one should mess up a wedge salad).

They advertise that they have the best happy hour, and while that’s a tall order — they do have a pretty solid HH indeed. Hubby and I came in here midweek after running errands late one afternoon and it really hit the spot. They have a bunch of drink specials, and a pretty decent list(15+ items?) of food items in the $ 3 — $ 9 range. We ended up getting the crab queso(yum! and ask for extra chips) and calamari to start. They also threw some fried veggies into the calamari(sweet potato, artichoke, jalepeno + others) which was a pleasant surprise. After deciding we wanted to make a dinner of it, we also ordered the coast to coast tuna and the burger. The tuna has a really interesting presentation, and wasn’t what I expected to see, but it was really pretty tasty and that was our bottom line. The burger is also huge for $ 5! And it came with fries. Bonus! I also really enjoyed the staff at the bar that evening. While the restaurant wasn’t crowded(though we were there pretty early), they were attentive and friendly during our time there. They also have $ 1 shrimp and oysters during HH?! We missed that memo after already ordering the calamari and crab queso, but I foresee another visit in our future so I’m not too disappointed about missing out on that.

Fantastic dinner at McCormick’s last night! My Uncle and I went for a special dinner, and I was pleasantly surprised. I expected a stuffy environment, but the vibe was great and the bar was lively! We had $ 1 oysters which were amazing, and both of us truly enjoyed our meals. Way to surpass expectations McCormicks!

Stopped in for lunch. Wife enjoyed the steak medallion. I had the Salmon. Both were exceptional. Well worth the price. Must for special occasions.

DUH! for not trusting fellow Unilocalers by going to this establishment with my out of town guests for dinner. I do not disagree with the few starts. We even dressed up and gave our flip flops a rest for the evening but mildly disappointed that we didn’t feel the food reciprocate according with the coin we dropped. Our server was so sweet and was the best item on their menu.

This used to be a favorite for Downtown Denver Jappy Hour food menus for me a couple of years ago. I returned to try the Firecracker Shrimp Tacos($ 7). The were somewhat disappointing — more sweet than spicy with a seasame dressing and the could have used something more than the small bed of cabbage on a cold, unheated flour tortilla. I would considrr giving them a second chance, but maybe I am expecting too much for this overpriced Landey’s chain that has proven underwelming to me for their proclaimed seafood specialty.

I brought my boyfriend here to provide him with a memorable birthday experience since some of his other plans fell through. We showed up to their brunch and took a seat at the bar. The place was not busy as it was a Saturday morning and there were a couple other patrons at the bar. The bartender Chase, asked my boyfriend for his credit card to start a tab despite the other patrons not having the same request made of them. It immediately made us both uncomfortable and a little embarrassed that he singled us out. We ordered a couple rounds of drinks and two entrees that were lackluster. Our total bill was around $ 80 but the service we received was not comparable. The bartender ignored us for the larger duration of our patronage and the dishes we ordered were not what you would expect when spending that type of money. I had a stuffed shrimp dish and the shrimp were over cooked and rubbery. My boyfriend was definitely not pleased with his Crawfish Cake Egg Benedict. Ironically enough, the week before celebrating our anniversary, we had dinner across the street at Jax Fish House were we spent the same amount of money and were provided with beyond stellar service. Maybe that experience spoiled us, I don’t know. I will not be eating here again. Why spend your hard earned money for a mediocre experience when you can get full value for it elsewhere? Overall I am very disappointed. If you are reading this review and considering your options, I can tell you that there are so many great places to eat in Denver, don’t waste your time or money here. In fact, head over to Jax instead, you will not regret that decision!

The refrain from«Where Have All The Flowers Gone» goes something like this: «When will they ever learn? When will they ever learn?» So to Landry’s, ala Pete Seeger I ask: «When will you ever learn? When will you ever learn?» From a 2 you’ve now become a 1. So keep reading to learn how that happened… After writing the below 2 star review MYWIFE(yes, those were intentional all-caps) actually got contacted by a Landry’s customer service representative about my review, wanting my personal contact information so they could talk to me directly about it. Then a bit later I got a message from a Landry’s customer service rep messaging me through Unilocal about my review. While I understand that the poor customer service rep is just doing her job, I offer the text of the post-review communications to you to show how some businesses just aren’t thinking when it comes to trying to communicate with their(now former) patrons: (From Cristina B., customer service at Landry’s/McCormick’s) «Hi David, we’d like to look into this. Please private message us your best contact # so that someone can reach out.» My response(via Unilocal’s messaging service): «Dear Cristina B, I appreciate that you are working hard to do your job and reach out to dis-satisfied customers. And I’m glad that Landry’s takes reviews seriously. But really, other than taking up more of my time and extending the unhappy experience I’ve already described, what possible questions could you additionally want to ask me? What I said was true and not mean-spirited. Why should I take more of my time to respond? I really do not want to be uncooperative, but I’m somewhat baffled at Landry’s approach. If the company simply wanted to offer its apology and invite me back to try McCormick’s again, that would have been a nice touch and I might have written an update of the review simply saying that. But this „we want to talk to you“ approach just doesn’t work. Sorry about that. And if that’s just part of the corporate protocol then perhaps you should communicate to the head of customer service that – at least for me – the company’s approach just backfires and is unhelpful to the company’s interests. Best regards, and no, I’m not going to give Landry’s my private contact information. I understand that someone from the company has already bothered my wife who was my dining partner that evening without my permission and therefore already violated what I think are legitimate privacy concerns of your company’s dining club members and the general public. So sign me, David „No longer philosophical, just bothered by Landry’s“ M.» And now you know. .. the rest of the story… Sign me, David«Paul Harvey» M

Seriously went here for happy hour the beers advertised weren’t available(typical bait and switch) then wouldn’t even allow a reg beer for a lite at same price. Seriously you sell oysters on ½ shell and they didn’t even shuck them properly! The fish and chips not worth the over price although good. On a positive note our waitress was amazing! If you want great seafood Go just across the street to JAX

Sadly disappointed. We had a large table for dinner which McCormicks is good for. They put us in a private room and treated us well. I’ll say that my stuffed salmon was very good, as was the beef carpaccio. The rest of the meals were fairly bland. The sides, in particular the potatoes were dry and tasted as though they had been under a warmer too long. Sad.

While we enjoyed the Oxford Hotel, we unfortunately had a very pricey and poor experience at their McCormick’s restaurant. With only three tables of customers when we arrived for brunch, they were totally disorganized in kitchen and service: Eggs Benedict totally overcooked and dry with only a meager splash of Hollandaise sauce, potatoes raw, no follow-up service to correct, or even get more coffee. We complained twice, but the Manager was«busy» and we received no apology… Left a bad taste in an otherwise perfect stay. We would NOT eat there again and suggest you don’t either. PS — after five days, we received a response for us to contact their corporate headquarters and voice our complaints there. Really? Gee, thanks.

This was not my choice of place to go when visiting Denver. but its not all about me. or is it :) Any who, this establishment is nice and the people are spectacular, and the drinks were great! However, the food was lacking. I should of known, based on reviews, but I was forced to come here. so you live and you learn. I had the following: — Steamed Mussels — tomatoes, white wine and herbs — mussels were light, but somewhat over cooked and rubbery — Maine Lobster Bisque — this was the highlight of my meal(and the drinks of course), this was nice and rich, delicious, and perfect on a cold day — AND A FISH I DONOTREMEMBER ;(- and I didn’t remember for a reason. the fish was dry and flavorless, the condiments and sides were better than the fish. Food here sucks, but drinks were good. I would come here to grab a few drinks. but thats about it.
