Do not hire Jake Morrison of Morrison Construction, Denver. Save yourself time, energy, frustration, and MONEY!
Jake was hired in May of 2012 for a bathroom remodel. The remodel was to include new floor, tile, toilet, vanity, tub, and lights. Each week he asked for a draw ($) to purchase materials and indicated that purchases were made, but I never received the receipts nor saw many of the said purchases. Jake continuously suggested other «mini» projects within my home that ended up diverting him from the bathroom remodel that he was hired for, and left me with multiple unfinished projects and more money spent.
After $ 10K and 5 weeks of work, and nothing 100% complete, I let him go.
I have since interviewed 5 other contractors. 4 of them are from Angie’s list and have A+ ratings. Each contractor, along with their plumbers, electricians, and carpenters have indicated that the $ 10k and 5 weeks of work that Jake performed, ALL needs to be replaced. The electrical work is dangerous, plumbing was installed incorrectly, the tiles need to be torn down, the incorrect tub was purchased, + more.
My remodel is now costing me twice as much as when I first entered into it, and double the time.
Jake is a very nice person, please do not be fooled by him.
