Recently came here for the first time, following my favorite artist to her new home(Kristy rocks!). As usual her work was awesome, her attitude was great and the whole experience went smoothly! I’m so glad we(hubby & I) found her after she left Tribe! This place has a great vibe — we’ll be back!

Had the very awesome pleasure of getting a sternum piece done by Joe and could not love it more! This is just an amazing studio with a lot of very talented artists. It’s also so nice inside, awesomely decorated and just a cool space. I highly recommend checking them out! I’ll definitely be back.

I got my first tattoo back in 1984, was a 17yr old punk rocker in Newcastle, went to Erics on Westgate road and got a Chinese dragon design off the wall then went back the next year for a Barbarian, again off the wall. Never thought much of it until I ran into a guy with the same tattoo one time. We compared them and the artist Eric had made subtle differences to make each one unique but from that point on, I decided if I were to get anymore they would be custom! So the next two done in 86 and in 90 were actually out of comics but I am guessing theres less of them around, Ha! My fave punk band the Damned is gonna be having their 40th anniversary gigs next year. I indian inked their name on my wrist when I was 15 and for a while I’ve been thinking about finally getting a proper Damned tattoo, casually asking friends where they got their ink when I had the chance. Unfortunately tho this past August to throw a spanner in works, my Border Collie Shep who had just turned 11 suddenly passed away so I decided to get a portrait of him instead of my punk tattoo. I posted to all my friends asking who they knew for portraits and pretty much the same two shops and artists names kept popping up. After many a late night googling the work of these artists I decided to contact Joe Miller at Old Larimer Street Tattoo as he had done a color doggy portrait for a friend and I love his style of work but after chatting with Joe and seeing as my Border Collie was Black & White, we decided to use another artist at his shop, the one and only Ian Robert McKown. His portraits are realistic with incredible detail so I knew he was the man for the job. I met with him at the shop and showed him a couple of pics that I was considering. He was booked up for a while but luckily his next open slot just happened to be on my day off work so I gave him a deposit and we kept in touch over emails and texts, figuring out which photo to use. On the tattoo day I show up and Ian has to flip the portrait as I never told him which side I wanted it facing but no worries, he sorted that and got down to work. Holy smokes, I forgot how much a chest tattoo can hurt and after 3 hours I was glad when it was finished. He totally nailed the piece tho and anyone who knew Shep would immediately recognize him. I now have the pleasure of seeing my boy every day. It was 15 years ago when I got my last tattoo and too much time in the Florida sun hasn’t been kind so once my new tat heals I am going to have Ian touch up my other chest piece and maybe get that Damned tattoo after all. I was at the shop about 4 hours total and Ian is a super nice guy with an incredible talent. All the artists had some funny banter going on and everyone seemed to be pretty cool, Joe has certainly collected himself a very talented bunch, this is definitely not your typical run of the mill tattoo shop tho they do accept walk ins. If you are in the market for a tattoo, check out their website and see which artist is doing the style you are looking for, you will not be disappointed.

Was in town for a conference and came by the shop. Wanted a peony on my wrist. Nick Hemstreet did a fantastic job. Colors were smooth a popping. And not only is he a solid tattoo artist, he’s a great guy. Really down to earth, good conversation the whole time. Wouldn’t hesitate to go see him again if I was in town.

Henry Quiles does outstanding artwork. You should definitely go see him. He made a beautiful custom piece and it healed quickly and perfectly. I did not even scab during the healing process. He is FANTASTIC and also a nice guy. He keeps the conversation flowing and even drew me up a couple of different options for the idea I had. His color is great!

I have wanted a tattoo for a few years now but have always been too scared to get one. On a whim I took a trip to Denver over New Years weekend and decided that this might be the time to be brave. All my research was completed and I even brought the sketch with me. So Saturday afternoon in downtown Denver I made a spontaneous decision and showed up at Old Larimer Street Tattoo. Talk about great customer service as a walk in they got me with an available artist Desiree, she took my sketch, did a few revisions and it was actually going to happen. Desi explained how it was all going to work in detail and did her best to calm my nerves. The whole process took about 2 hours but it was totally worth it. I am beyond satisfied with the detail of her work and strongly recommend anyone looking for a tattoo to check this place out. I posted a photo of the completed work and it was very reasonably priced. Thank you Desi for your amazing work!

Was recommended to go here by Iris Piercing which is where I go for piercings and jewelry. Walked in on a Saturday night with my friend. We wanted some matching stick figure tattoos.(She lives in NJ and I live here). Simple and cute. Tattoo 16 for her, tattoo 3 for me. We had some sketches drawn up of what we wanted but just needed them to prefect it a little bit. Matt and the other artist whose name escapes us(the female artist who works there) drew us the final piece and they were perfect. Matt inked me and the woman inked my friend. Fast and painless. The lines on both are super tight. Matt was fun and easy to talk to, and he was really gentle. Shop Minimum is 75 $ which is a great deal for the quality of art and work here. Good tattoos aren’t cheap! Even for simple like this spend the money on a good artist. This was my first tattoo in Colorado and I will be back. We both couldn’t be happier. Both our stick figures are exactly what we wanted and represent us. The artists really nailed it. They only take cash.

Best tattoo shop either of us have been to. My friend and I found this place via great reviews and so we wanted to give our input. We started off with Adam, we came in for nipple piercings, he was extremely professional with an amazing bed side manner. We couldn’t have felt more comfortable. My friend was really nervous and he was very gentle and reassuring during the whole process. I’ve had this piercing done in the past and I can tell already the difference, so much better. Thank you Adam! I’ve been wanting to finish and fix this tattoo I had for the longest time and I just mentioned it and the next thing I know I was paired with Matt, an expert in flowers and colours and he completely transformed my tattoo. I am so in love with it and getting it with Matt was awesome. He was hilarious and easy to talk to, he was able to keep me distracted and keep my friend entertained for 2 hours. Bomb shop, talented artists. A must.

So impressed! My friend and I decided to get tattooed on a whim on a Friday afternoon and we were ale to get in right away. All I knew was the text and location that I wanted for my new ink, no font or anything. The artist(Henry) drew me up a gorgeous custom font(all I told him was«make it metal»), and it was better than anything I could have imagined. And for an outer hand tattoo, he made it as quick and painless as possible, and he was easy to chat with. My friend also got tattooed with me that day, and he asked for a solid black skull. The artist found a few examples for him to choose from to get an idea on he style and then drew up a custom version from there. The final work was amazing! I’d highly recommend coming here. The shop minimum($ 75) is a little higher than most other places I’ve been to, but, as everyone knows, good tattoos aren’t cheap, and cheap tattoos aren’t good! In addition to the friendly and talented staff, this place is worth checking out just for the décor! It’s a really neat little shop with tall ceilings and killer artwork all over the walls. They also have a nice display case of jewelry to choose from if you go the piercing route instead. I’ll certainly be coming here for more ink the next time I am in Denver.

Really really great place. ! I came in with a tattoo design of pretty much all straight lines and sanskrit. Nick Hemstreet really could not have done a better job. I absolutely love it! I will only go to him for all my future ink.

The very best in town. Nick Hemstreet is an insanely talented artist who specializes in color and realism work. He and I had been talking back and forth about a piece of mine for a few months and we just got it done(for the most part) this past weekend. His work is impeccable and Nick is as cool as they come. Highly recommend, just don’t take up all of my chair time :)
