Literally the best place ever. Amazing owners, excellent food! On Fridays there are free saki bombs for everyone.

The outside is not fantastic, but the sushi and food is. Happy hour pricing was not great. But the food is. Enjoy!

I wanted to be impressed, I really did, but I wasn’t. I had the Cupid roll, masago and California roll. My boyfriend got some fried beef something or other, he referred to it as the most white thing you can order. He said his was great. Mine just tasted off, all of it. Maybe it was just me, because I heard a lot of other people LOVING it. Maybe my tastebuds are off today. The prices are a little high for what you get. They don’t take AMEX, this hurt my heart. They don’t give out mints, but instead cappuccino candies, which were a nice twist. The menu has pictures of everything on it, which is very nice if you’re not familiar with specific rolls or food. Based on all the buzz around me and the constant flow of traffic, you should give it a try, it just wasn’t for me.

This place has some really good sushi. I would defiantly Come back when I’m in the area or not just to get my sushi from here. The prices are not bad, I would say In-between. They don’t bother you even few minutes so you can enjoy your time here. We sat at a table but left the sushi bar a tip.

Came for all you can eat lunch. DO seaweed salad green muscles, gyoza, and tempura. DONT anything off the sushi menu for all you can eat. Excessive amount of rice. Worst quality of paper thin fish I have ever had. ie clam, tuna, eel. Yellow tail was descent, but how can you mess up Saba? Don’t do all you can eat. Unless you just order from the kitchen.

Very good sushi! When I first walked in, I was concerned with a slight smell, but I know I’m sensitive so I sat at the bar. The Chefs were friendly, and a mix of Korean and Japanese. They started with a bit of kimchi and some miso(I like both, and both were good here). Anywhere I go, I always get one specialty roll and some mixed nigiri and sashimi, and was not disappointed in either at Osaka. The yellowtail was awesome! Finally, if you have never had FRESH wasabi, you don’t know what you’re missing. And theirs was a very good accompaniment to the meal.

To be honest, we weren’t sure about this place when we first pulled up… But we should’ve remembered to never judge a book by its cover! Started off our meal with gyoza and weren’t disappointed! Some of the best dumplings I’ve ever had and they came out of the kitchen fast, which was an indicator that the service would continue to be top notch(which it was!!). We then ordered two rolls: Avalanche and Spicy Crunchy. The Avalanche had a lot going on, but was warm, fried, and filling. The Spicy Crunchy was like a spicy tuna roll 2.0 and I’d highly recommend both. Saw another reviewer telling people to try the Nuclear Roll, but we very quickly ruled that out as the description said«very very very very very spicy» :) If we ever come back to this part of town, we’ll definitely be back to sample some more sushi rolls!

I travel to the Cherry Creek area for work almost every week and I eat sushi at least once every trip I make. I have tried several of the other sushi spots around here and this is absolutely the best. This place honestly gives my Houston sushi spot a run for its money. I had the seared tuna sushi — THEBEST I have ever had, hands down no hesitation. Philadelphia Roll — some places in Denver seem to put cucumber in philly rolls and exclude the avocado and that is so wrong, Osaka does it right. Salmon, cream cheese and avocado. Ichiban — OMG. I had them add cream cheese(which can sometimes be confusing but these guys totally got me) and it reminds me of the first roll I ever fell in love with. Amazing. I cannot believe this place is landlocked. Osaka has an atmosphere that I love. I feel completely comfortable going in alone and enjoying a nice relaxing dinner but they have plenty of space for large groups. It seems to be family or personally owned, I felt like everyone that worked there cared. The service is fantastic(this was my second time visiting — they were extremely busy my first time) and the guys behind the sushi bar were fun to chat with. It really reminds me of my go-to sushi spot at home and that’s why I’ll be visiting Osaka every time I crave sushi in Denver.

Wonderful sushi! We were extremely happy with our food. Great selection of rolls, varieties of sashimi and even desserts. Our waitress suggested the mega lotto roll — it was gooey and delicious. The Hamachi and Toro were both fatty and fresh. The people next to us ordered the«love boat» and it was a quite extravagant mix of sushi served in a huge wooden boat. Our service was slow but friendly, and it was Valentine’s day weekend after all. We’ll definitely be back.

So I think the food is good. Not super amazing great, but reasonably priced and good. I wish they had more non-mayo, non-tempura, non-crab special roll options. The reason it gets 5 stars is for customer service. We were there last night, and asked if they did anything special for our friend’s birthday. The manager responded by literally giving a free sake bomb to everyone in the restaurant(photo attached). I thought this only happened in movies. Also, I have never seen so many non-Asian children happily eat at a Japanese restaurant before. Would return a million times.

Honestly, I think this is one of the best sushi places in town. Top five for sure. Great atmosphere, the staff is very friendly and welcoming. They always have fresh specialty fish on the menu. If jay is in the house, chances are, he’ll enjoy a shot with you. Stop by if you want top quality sushi.

Warning: Do not come here for the all you can eat special(it’s 99% rice) With that warning out of the way my friend got their lunch special box and it was perfect! :) For being a sushi bar in Denver I am very impressed. It’s a simple restaurant, and it has that feeling like it has been around forever. The service was fantastic, and I would definitely come back to eat their lunch special :)

Yummy Yummy. First off… I’ll never understand how a land locked city like Denver has so many sushi places. I just don’t get it. Surprisingly, some of them are actually pretty good — this being one of them. From the outside it looks kind of shady… like… oh this is not going to be good… but then it is. Fresh fish. I always get yellowtail sashimi when I go for sushi and this was pretty good… not the best… but relatively fresh tasting. They have a huge selection of rolls… all of which were pretty delicious. Quick service. Hot sake. Good sushi. I enjoyed it.

So delicious! Their menu has different options than I’ve seen on other menus, plus all the ones I love. Great sushi selection, loved the Ichiban roll so much, also tried and really like the Colorado roll, spicy tuna roll and the scallop sushi. Everything seemed fresh and it I will definitely go back!

I have to start by saying that I don’t eat Sushi. I don’t eat any fish for that matter. But I married a woman who loves sushi. This is one of her favorite sushi restaurants. She says the sushi is alway great… a little on the pricey side… but great. I judge sushi restaurants by their non sushi food. Most of the time I order chicken… but most sushi places overcook their chicken. I tried their beef here and it was very good. Cooked perfect.

First time in Denver and we were craving some sushi. Our hotel was right down the street in cherry creek so we decided to take the 5 minute walk. Eye appeal from the street isn’t going to get you to walk through the door, but the food will keep you coming back. We had a fantastic experience here. From the start we were greeted warmly and with a smile. We sat at the sushi bar and the sushi chefs were quick to say hello. We decided to order a Cupid roll, a Avalanche roll, fresh oysters, red snapper(both) sushi and sashimi, and wahu sushi. In addition, we ended up having a couple bottles of Nigori Sake which was fantastic. The food here was served quickly and it was all delicious. Our favorites of the night were the red snapper sashimi and the fresh oysters. Both very fresh and large portions too! The rolls were creative and the presentation was flawless. I enjoyed it here and if I’m ever in Cherry Creek again I’d have no issue stopping in for a second go around.

This review was based on the«all you can eat» lunch special, which apparently was a mistake to order. First of all, I don’t get all the reviews that rave about this place. I mean it’s entirely possible that the«all you can eat» menu has completely different food than the regular menu, but if the former is that much worse then they shouldn’t even offer it. So, about the food… We had some nigiri sushi, I ordered tuna and yellowtail, and my friend ordered crab. Crab was imitation crab, and the tuna was a tiny sliver on a big piece of rice. You couldn’t taste the fish if you ate the whole thing in one bite. Same with the yellowtail. We ordered«dynamite» which basically ended up being a bowl of mayonnaise with I don’t know what else in there. Green mussels, which I don’t like to begin with, came with more of that«dynamite» mayo. The roll, tuna crunch roll, also had way too much rice, you couldn’t taste any of the filling. The tempura was on the greasy side, and the udon was bland. We ordered quite a bit of variety, yet there was nothing that I would characterize as «good.» One would think that this was a good deal at $ 17 per person, but for the quality of food I received, I certainly don’t think it was.

What a hidden gem! I live right here and had no idea how good this place is. It’s tiny inside and got very crowded right after 6 on the Thursday I was there. I can see why it got so crowded! The sushi is very good, as is the service. My family and I enjoyed every roll we tried. To top it off they have green tea ice cream(my favorite) and they give you a generous serving. If you love spicy rolls they have something called the nuclear roll, if you finish they give you a bottle of sake! I’m too chicken to try that, I can only handle tiny amounts of wasabi. But I’m sure there are plenty of brave souls out there that would enjoy this challenge. I’m always skeptical about sushi places in Colorado but this place was worth the price and the wait! I’m sure I’ll be back.

I Googled sushi places near Colorado blvd and Alameda and came across Osaka Sushi. Tucked away off Colorado behind Rubio’s Baja Grill, I wouldn’t have known about it. The place is kind of tiny and not good for large groups. I ordered a California roll, a Colorado roll, yellowtail sushi and miso soup. Everything was great! The Colorado roll was a Cali roll covered with baked salmon and smothered in a sweet sauce. I actually ate everything, and that typically doesn’t happen. The server was attentive and quick at refilling my iced tea. I will be back for sure. Great sushi place!
