Kitchen Nightmares is airing again and I saw the show on this restaurant a few days ago. The owner, Pete, was a lovely man. Very nice and friendly. We had lunch. Their Pete’s Pizza bread, a baked pizza shell brushed with olive oil served with marinara sauce. Very good. So hot I could barely pick up the pieces. The sausage pizza was excellent. A thin, crispy crust with a tangy sauce and sliced sausage. We plan on going back for dinner at some point to try some of the other dishes.

We had the Roma pizza and it was amazing. Basil was fresh, mozzarella was perfect, and the crust — oh my god the crust. It was light, slightly crisp, with just the right amount of chewiness. Not only was the pizza amazing but Pete made us feel like we were visiting an old friend. He’s got a fantastic, biting wit and an earnestness that elevated the entire visit from good to amazing. We’ll definitely be back and i encourage everyone to stop by!

We hadn’t eating here in awhile but have been promoting it as the best pizza in Denver to everyone. Not sure if they changed their sauce recipe or if it was a bad batch. The pizza was not as good as we remembered it being a year ago.

Walked here the day of a crazy blizzard because it was the ONLY place that was open. My whole family and I have been wanting to try it and I was so happy that the crazy blizzard finally made it happen. The pizza here is so so so good. The perfect amount of crust and the toppings were to die for! We had the agean and the veggie fresco. I highly recommend the agean, ricotta, feta, olive oil, basil, so amazing. The owner seemed to be the only one working that day and he was keeping his cool under the mountain of orders he had! Great job and great pizza!

Pizza was under cooked and uninspiring. Amateur hour, not for foodies. Gordon would be pissed.

Everything on the menu is great! I highly suggest the Roma pizza or the Feast pizza, the Linguine Alla Vodka, chicken Marsala! It’s freaking awesome! It’s a MUSTTRY. You won’t be disappointed!

Kitchen Nightmare for a reason. Don’t know what front the owners were putting on with these other diners but this didn’t happen with me and mine. We were the only table in the restaurant on a Saturday night, they were passive with us and seemed preoccupied. They also began berating a delivery person from one of those Grubhub/Door Dash kind of places while I was dining in the restaurant. I hope Gordan Ramsay comes back and yells at them some more. The food was edible and that is the only adjective I’m willing to give it.

The owner makes you feel at home. He’s the Greek Uncle I have always wanted. His wife is also very welcoming and personable. I hate being like every other average joe, but my girlfriend and I watched Chef Ramsey«re-organize» this place, and from what Pete and his wife tell me, they have found a good middle ground. I have not tried their pastas yet, but that just shows you how good the pizzas are. A simple cheese pizza is great. Obviously as everyone states, the crust is to die for, but the cheese is good, everything’s great. The other selections and toppings are also fresh and awesome to try as well.

I was in the area and wanted to check this place out. I was visiting Denver for work and this was closest to my aunts home so I told her we could meet here. The place is small but cute. The cashier/waitress was great. It’s too bad the place was slow late on a Saturday. Since most of the reviews raved about their pizzas I decided to order that for our party of 3. We ordered a sausage pizza and the Aloha pizza. The crust was pretty good but I did not like the sauce at all. For the price I did not think it was worth it. $ 13 for the small and $ 19 for a large. I really really wanted to love this place. They’re such nice people. If I’m in the area I would give it another try but maybe try the pasta.

Excellent food. We had the Caesar salad, linguine with clams and the linguine a la vodka. All very good. The croutons on the salad were homemade but a bit stale. We’d order both dishes again. The linguine a la vodka was subtle but flavorful. The linguine with clams was very tasty. A little spicy to my surprise but it did not out scream the flavor. Very generous with the deshelled clams. We’ll go back again for the food.

So my husband and I got married in Denver, and we knew we had to try it when we were in town. My sister, who can’t stop raving about this place, actually brought it to our hotel suite the night of the wedding. and Wow! the pizza is amazing! But then I had the canoli’s. It was the best thing I had all night, including my wedding cake! So delicious. Made our wedding night extra special :)

Great pizza, the crust had a very nice rosemary flavor and was delicious. I don’t know when the toppings were added, but they somehow retained a great level of freshness on the pie when it came out. We also had a Greek salad that was very well compiled and the dressing was tangy and tasty. Although at $ 12, very overpriced. The pizza is the main event here though and the crust is in a league of its own. Definitely worth stopping in. We found out that the place was featured on Kitchen Nightmares after we ate and were very surprised. Gordon Ramsey definitely turned it around. We didn’t recognize the nasty stuff they were serving before. Hopefully they never go back to that. Check it out if you’re in town, it’s well-hidden, but worth the effort.

Sadly I don’t know there names, but the owner and his wife were very friendly and talked to us. Although we were the only ones in there when we first arrived we were warmly welcomed. Having watched kitchen nightmares and being in the area on vacation we thought we’d try the local fare. I must say the Cesar salad was awesome and our pizza was great. I wish we could get delivery to California.

I found out about Pantaleone’s from Kitchen Nightmares and wanted to give it a try since I knew I’d be passing through Denver. Worth it! We ordered the handmade sausage pizza and a Cesar salad to share. BESTPIZZA I’ve had in a long time. The owner, Pete, was really friendly and chatted with us for a little while. I’ll definitely be back on my next trip to Colorado!

Wow– so disappointing. In town from Albuquerque and we decided to check this place out since we just watched the episode of Kitchen Nightmares. … figured it would be cool and good since it looked like the master himself(Gordon) had turned this place around. Obviously they forgot what he taught them. We pulled into the parking lot and I figured they were closed– Valentines Day at 1:30 and the lot was empty. I also noticed the van Gordon gave them was replaced with a little station wagon. … Ok Well we turned around because there was an OPEN sign sitting outside the door. Pulled up, I thought they were closed– didn’t see movement– but my wife said: No, there is the guy from the show… WAIT– HEISSMOKING!!! SERIOUSLY– they guy was inside his restaurant SMOKING!!! CHEF Ramsey better do a revisited– because this place fell apart.

Okay, I bought into the Kitchen Nightmare hype. Knowing Chef Ramsey was at this establishment was enough for me to get my buns over to try their pizza. Plus, they are literally down the street from me. After reading all the recent reviews raving about their pizza, I thought it was time to try it. The pizza really was not that good. I was unimpressed, to be honest. First off, this is not NY style pizza. It does not have the normal NY pizza crust consistency. Second, this is a greasy pizza. Don’t get me wrong, I freaking love greasy pizza. I grew up eating the best NY style pizza in NY. I know a good pizza should have grease. Unfortunately, their dough can’t hold up to their grease and just turns into a soggy, almost inedible mess. This was a soggy, soggy pie. In addition, the mozzarella didn’t taste like that great of quality. Something was just off. Their sauce was fine. Overall, the pizza was not very good. I won’t return to Pantaleone’s.

Good homemade scratch Italian food and friendly family there to greet you. Still trying to keep the image up from their televised makeover, have a few things that they slack on in keeping it up but they are trying and the food well that is why you go there. I was in for lunch and super glad I made it in. did tell them that the few things they needed to care for like the dirt drape in the dining room was easily fixed… and since their show ppl would be looking at those things and may not say anything. The owner was so nice and thanked me for my honesty and I will be back because the curtain again wasn’t why I was there:-) Agree that portion sizes are perfect and flavors melt into your mouth, we have to remember this is a family business and keeping costs affordable for everyone and still making a proft is good business period… so and enjoy support them and help them continue their popularity. Food recommendations are any of the salads and Pizzas. and for an Entrée try one of these~fresh Sausage is incrediable!!! Spaghetti & Housemade Sausage * Tomato sauce, parmesan, basil * 14 Capellini & Housemade Sausage * White wine, garlic, tomato, Tuscan kale * 15 Linguine Alla Vodka * Pancetta, peas, tomato cream sauce * 14 YUMMY! If you like dessert well do, I don’t usually get and glad I did — I got it to go and had it later! Tiramisu * Ladyfingers, coffee, mascarpone * 7 Mangia!

WHAT A WASTE! 5 Star Review updated to 2 stars Evidently DENVER’S BESTPIZZA got a «Makeover» courtesy Chef Gordon Ramsey. CRAP Seriously — I miss the REAL Panteleone’s. Two stars remain only for my server. She was very helpful to guide me into buying a small size Pizza Bianco for my lunch today.(who wants to spend $ 20 on pizza lunch for one ??) IF– you venture over to try out their new«updated» fare I wish you get the same top-notch service I did today. Will I go back? ehh. «maybe» “Maybe” I will try some other menu options. Nothing wrong with the pizza I ate today. Denver’s BESTPIZZA? CERTAINLY Sadly Not anymore.
