Wlove breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner here… My favorites: any omelette, pancakes, green chili, and miso salmon!

The food was good. We went as a group for breakfast and no one was blown away by what they had. It always seems packed and we had all heard good reviews so we tried it and were not overly impressed. With all the great breakfast/brunch places in Denver, i’m unlikely to repeat even though i live so close.

Came on a Friday night with a couple of friends before taking kiddos to the holiday lights at the zoo. Wait wasn’t bad, used the free valet. Food was pretty good(burgers, French dip, fried pickles). Was impressed by the wine and beer list. Our waiter was very friendly, but didn’t get orders right and gave us the wrong check after we had to ask a couple of times. It took us an extra 30 minutes to eat and leave because of service issues. Will definitely go back, perhaps at a less busy time.

After a very heavy lunch, for dinner we decided to seek a good salad. In a quick search of the area we found Racine’s and their extensive offering of salads. Pretty crowded but they seated us right away. It’s a cavernous place and not very cozy or intimate. If you want a romantic dinner or engaging conversation, I don’t recommend it. It’s loud and not much charm to it. However, the service was very good. Very friendly and they filled our water glasses quickly and continually. It took a little time for our order but not terrible and we weren’t in a hurry. We got the goat’s cheese tots. We expected greatness but they were nothing special. Breaking too thick and took away from the taste of the goat’s cheese. But we each got a terrific salad. My wife got the Solitaire Salmon Salad. She loved it. I got the Nutty Cheese Salad with Chicken and thoroughly enjoyed it. Both were large and filling. Very fresh and tasty. No complaints and would order them again. Overall, a good experience but not for any occasion. Still, we old return and do it again.

** synopsis of review below ***miso salmon is A rating ** American Burger is B rating ** Philly Cheese Steak is D– rating Racines is nice upon entering. The hostess wanted to sit us by the front door in the front of the restaurant but i asked if we could be sat at a booth since my father is older and it’s more comfortable for him. We were sat at a booth on the upper level overlooking the bar and bar booths. I noted that the restaurant reminded me a little like J. Alexanders(an upscale chain in Florida). The waitress was nice but you could tell she was kind of in the weeds. We ordered the nachos to start which were plenty big for four people. They came out with ground beef, plenty of cheese, jalapeños, black olives and onions. We all commented how good they were, and for only $ 12 it was a good choice. I ordered the miso salmon for my main dish, my mother ordered the same, my father got the All American Burger and my brother got the philly cheese steak. I have had miso salmon several times at other restaurants and so there is a bit of a standard that needs to be met. I am glad to say I was not at all disappointed. The salmon was cooked medium which made it fall apart rather than flake which is actually perfect for salmon. The miso sauce at the bottom of the plate was a little spicy but was a nice added kick when you wanted to dip into it. The dish was served with brown rice(nice) and wok vegetables. The portion was plenty big and i could only eat half(took the rest home and having for lunch today!) My mom also enjoyed her miso salmon. My brother was very disappointed with the philly cheese and my father said the burger was great but since he didn’t rave on and on about it I know it was good but not amazing. One thing I thought was a little disappointing is how when we were seating in the booth at my request, I noticed plenty of plush seats upstairs around tables. The hostess was going to sit us in the crappy wooden chairs by the door when there were several comfy seats on the upper level. To me, when I go out to eat I want to be comfortable, not in some hard wooden chair. **ask to be seated in the comfy seats!

Racine’s is a solid joint. It’s casual, American food, reliably executed without the Bennigan’s/Chili’s/TGIFriday’s atmosphere. They’re open for breakfast every day, and will always let you seat a group… Both HUGE plusses in my book. I’ve never had anything blow my mind, but I’ve never had anything disappoint, either.

Consistently amazing, tasty and friendly! If there was a locals place, this would be it… Major Denver tradition, and always a pleasure to return! My personal fave is their Cobb salad, lunch or dinner… Be sure to ask for it on 100% spinach, with both ranch and blue cheese(both home made!) and add capers… So good! BRAVO!

This is my opinion. We have been regulars at Racines for 3 to 4 years. Several of the wait staff know our quirks: extra sugar, lots of cream, water no ice, etc. The people that seat you, Colin and the others, know we like to sit upstairs, in the red ‘comfy’ chairs. The valets, David and Joe, know us as well. I have over 200 check ins here as well. Racines has been our go-to Saturday morning breakfast, as well as dinner several times during the week. We have had Mother’s Day Brunch there with all of our family too. I have recommended Racines to coworkers too. You get the picture. The last 3 – 4 visits have been disappointing, actually heart breaking. Yes, we love(d) Racines. The food has been sub par. I don’t want to go into specifics, but it has been disappointing. I messaged the business via Unilocal, and the owner got back to me the next day. We were messaging each other over the course of a few weeks. I was impressed and relieved to know that the owners do take an active role in their restaurant, which many don’t. Reading reviews here on Unilocal,I saw one by another regular to Racines, and she has been a regular for 31 years, so she really knows Racines and their food. She has seen/experienced the same thing we have. So, we are not imagining it. Something is going on. Racines, I sure hope you get it figured out. We really want to go back. For now, we’ll stay away for a while, which really makes us sad. I am dropping my review from 4 stars to 3 stars, for now. Again, this is my opinion.

I love Racines. Always reliable, always consistent and seems like they’re always open. Super friendly staff, good food and AMAZING coffee(they say it’s Starbucks but I’ve never had Starbucks this good…) I almost forgot, incredibly affordable. Great for breakfast alone or friends or work.

It’s been a while since I’ve been here. I was hoping for some improvement. We were looking for a last-minute Sunday brunch place, all the cool places were on a long wait, and so we stopped in. The inside was updated and had some cool lighting and spacious feel. The very 80s looking menu was pretty expansive, but also pretty pricey for what you get. $ 8 for two pancakes. No drink specials. Isn’t that what brunch is about? Bloodies and Mimosas? Our server couldn’t smile to save her life. No pleasantries. The food took excruciatingly long. The coffee refills took almost as long. Since we waited 38 minutes for our food, I had wished we had just waited the 30 minutes around the corner at a trendy joint. We would have still gotten served sooner.

I’ve been here a few times and I’ve always had a great experience. I recently stopped by with my boyfriend and dogs in tow. I love that it’s dog friendly, although there is special patio seating specifically for dogs so the wait might be a tad longer.. I ordered the southwest skillet and was pleased to find a bed of hashbrowns topped with an egg and their pork green chile. I really wished they would have added more chile because I found myself wanting more! I unfortunately forgot my ID so I couldn’t sample their sweet libations but I definitely will next time. While there definitely isn’t anything particularly unique about this place, they have a large menu and seem to be able to accommodate many people and their food is tasty. Will definitely be back.

I’ve been going to Racines for at least 10 years. It’s been the place we go anytime my sister is in town or we can’t pick where to eat, it’s our go-to. Service is always good. Servers seem nice. Busboys are always quick to refill your cup. Their menu is great. I’ve never had something I didn’t like here. I consistently order the Turkey Gouda Croissant with cottage cheese. It usually comes with way too much mayo for my liking, but as long as I remember to ask for light mayo, or scrape it off myself it’s perfect! They also have Starbucks Coffee/Chai, so that’s an added bonus too… Will continue to come back again and again. :)

This place has become«the place» for me & my husband. We are never disappointed, and always love stopping by. We don’t usually have any issues with parking or finding a table, and I love their indoor environment. Definitely a must-visit! Spoiler– their creamy artichoke dip is AMAZING. Half the time, we end up ordering that as an app, and taking our actual dinner to go it’s so delicious! Seriously though, get. it.

Always a winner for brunch. I spent many a Saturday/Sunday morning in my early 20s at Racine’s for brunch… and they always included a Bloody Mary and coffee. My life has changed a bit since then, but one thing that will never change is my love for their veggie skillet with eggs over easy. You can usually always find a seat at the bar for two. If you have a large group, call ahead to put your name on the list. Call ahead seating = winning.

In light of an unfortunate visit, the owner reached out and made things right. This is the type of service that keeps good word of mouth and customer loyalty. I appreciate the owner’s response to my review and her offer to make it right for us. Thank you and we’ll keep coming back.

Its so great to come in for brunch. Parking is something to be desired. Either get there early or Valet it. I went with the steak and eggs and the Peach Bellinis. And my friend had the burger. My steak and eggs were perfectly done, and at a reasonable price. Wasnt long of a wait either. And the server was attentive without being pushy, We sat outdoors on the patio and it was comfortable. The wait wasnt long either.

I remember it like it was yesterday… even though it was New Year’s Day. I had been up much later than I intended. Everything about the morning was going according to plan. Of course this means I was running late to meet up with everyone for breakfast… Racines Restaurant is exactly what you’d want in a good ol’ fashion breakfast destination: a menu with all the breakfast favs, with signature staples where necessary to try and set it apart. My experience at Racines would blend in with most other holiday breakfast experiences that I can remember, but when you’ve got old friends from home, it’s hard not to enjoy it just a bit more than normal. At Racines, the coffee keeps on comin’ and the food is satisfying. I went with the bacon pancakes. Now typically I avoid pancakes because it more-or-less results in me deleting the next 4 hours of my life due to sloth, but since this was New Year’s Day, that was the plan anyway. With enough bacon and butter to knock out one pig and one cow respectively, my self-induced food coma felt fulfilling and well-deserved. In a generation of elaborate brunch menus and artisanal morning cocktails, Racines Restaurant is a nice return to form for the American breakfast. Just… try to keep your calendar open for the post-meal hours ahead of you. Bacon pancakes are not an energy-infused superfood…

Mediocre at best. I asked my friend if this place is a chain cause it really feels like it these days. I had the eggs benedict and a hot chocolate. First… the hot chocolate was okay but the whipped cream had absolutely no flavor. Kind of a waste don’t you think? Second the eggs benedict were just okay. The hollandaise sauce was pretty bland and the hash browns were wayyyyy undercooked. Service was kinda awful too we had three different servers by the time we left 45 minutes later. I don’t think I will be back for a while which is just a shame since it’s one of my go to brunch places in my neighborhood. Gonna try Lala’s brunch instead.

This place is busy for a reason. So many choices of the omelets and other Brunch dishes along with cocktail drinks. Service was attentive and fast. I had the egg white omelet and wedge salad. Both are excellent and the wedge was so fresh — best I have ever had. More of a family crowd than hipster new American restaurant… my stomach was sold and so did I.

Racines, a Denver staple, is a solid 3 star restaurant. On Saturday’s and Sunday’s you will most definitely find there is a wait for a table. Luckily they have a very large bar with open seating which tends to turn over a lot quicker than the tables. Racines also always has quite the variety of patrons for being in the city. Service can be hit or miss. There have been a couple occasions where we have been forgotten, and they’ve comped us a dessert or a drink. Food is good, I haven’t ever had an entrée with that«wow factor» but I also haven’t had anything I didn’t like. Breakfast wise the eggs Mazatlan and huevos rancheros are good. As well as the peach blossom mimosa. For dinner the chicken fried steak is huge and tasty and the California chicken sandwich is good as well. Most entrees are very large, and in my opinion are large enough to share. Racines has a very large brunch menu and lunch/dinner menu where most people could find something they would like.
