Salon Tobie Wash Park

I discovered Salon Tobie a couple of years ago from one of my clients. After I moved to Denver from Washington, DC, I had a very hard time finding a salon that does REAL CND shellac — not Gelish, not OPI shellac — I’m talking about the GOOD stuff. Salon Tobie has what I want! Lots of colors to choose from, talented technicians who take their time, chat with you, and get to know you.
I came back today because I have a work event tonight, and I was freaking out about getting my nails done in time. I woke up to an email from Tobie saying that she was back after an injury, and was offering a special price for shellac. What a lifesaver!!! I called immediately, and made an appointment and came in about 40 minutes later.
I found out that Tobie had suffered a serious fall, and that while she had just begun PT, she missed her customers, and was ready to get back to them!!! I appreciate her dedication, and sincere live of her profession. She did a wonderful job on my nails, despite a limited range of motion, and we’re had a really wonderful morning catching up!!! Thank you Tobie!!!

New name! Salon Tobie. Great location in Wash Park. Sara is so talented. I have followed her to 3 salons and she finally found a good home. Tobie is involved and professional. Very good client communications with text reminders for appointments. Highly recommend Sara and the salon.

I’ve been going to this salon for a few months and I really love it. the vibe, the staff, and the service are excellent. It’s in a great neighborhood and I’ve never had a problem getting street parking right in front of the salon. The products they use are top of the line, especially on my difficult hair, and their shampoo station is awesome. It has a block that makes it so comfortable when your head is leaned back so it doesn’t strain your neck.
I actually followed my stylist, Jen, there from another salon. She is amazing and while I live in the downtown area where I have many other salons in walking distance, it is worth it to me to take the drive to this salon for her to take care of my hair. which is frizzy and problematic. I also have a ton of gray hair for my age… and Jen does an awesome job in coloring my roots. I always walk out feeling great about how my hair looks.
Jen is also just a great person to get to know. I always feel comfortable with her and she remembers everything we talk about when I come in. It’s like visiting an old friend. I always look forward to chatting with her as she does my hair. I highly recommend this salon and Jen in particular!

I had a wonderful experience at A Full On Salon. I came in on a whim to get a Shellac Manicure and it was by far the best manicure I have ever received. The salon is super cute and the staff are very warm and helpful. The owner did my manicure and she did a fantastic job. This is the real deal, they use the best product, not just the ‘gel’ that many other salons use. She also did an amazing job on my cuticles AND they cleaned my rings while working on my nails. I’m pretty sure I haven’t cleaned my rings since I got married, so talk about a bonus! After my manicure I decided to go ahead and get a hair cut (they squeezed me in and it had been a long time). Jen was my stylist and she did a great job. It was exactly the cut that I wanted, and the blow-​out was great.
The cut was very reasonably priced, and while the manicure was a bit more than I’m used to spending, honestly it was worth every penny. I don’t think I’ll ever go to another salon. Definitely give this place a try!

I got a facial here due to a gift card from spa finder. I chose this salon because they use Sanitas products. The whole experience was only ok.
–the room was noisy from either people upstairs or the dog place next door.
–the person giving me a facial used a really loud ticking timer. It was so annoying. I am sure some people can just tune it out, but it was not relaxing for me.
–the actual facial was relaxing and the person listened to me as I had sensitive skin issues. My skin did not sting, and the person was very attentive just in case it started irritating my skin. I had no issues.
–I got an «anti-​ageing» facial, which costs more than the other facials, but it is not clear what you actually get with it, and if I actually got anything that is ant-​aging. The website is not clear either. Since I have sensitive skin and had some wind burn on my face, I think my facial was adjusted a bit to ensure that we didn’t hurt the affected areas, but still, not sure why I paid more for this facial.
— I said I wanted a facial because I have a lot of black heads. The person still asked me if I wanted extraction, and I said yes. She focused on two or three zits, but not the blackheads on my nose. That was the whole reason I wanted to get a facial. I still have them. I have had facials before where the person went to town on my nose and got rid of most of them, so I know it is possible.
–I got a brow wax as well. Online they say it could be 20+. Mine was apparently $ 25, with no explanation, and it wasn’t a very good one. My face didn’t turn red or even hurt that much, but there were quite a few extra hairs I had to get at home. It wasn’t a bad brow wax by any means, but when I pay $ 25 (not including tip) I expected a top notch brow wax, where I don’t have to clean it up right away.
Lastly, I just got an email from A Full on Salon requesting I pay in cash or check. They said they will still happily run credit cards for me, but they prefer cash or check. This is annoying. No one carries cash or checks anymore. The salon prices are not cheap and I am sure they have worked in the amount that credit card processing charges into the price. I don’t want to feel guilty for using their services because I pay with a card.
Overall, This was not a bad experience, but wasn’t a memorable one either. I am not saying I won’t be back, but nothing makes it stick in my mind to race back for my next service.

My sister and I got a manicure and pedicure. The ladies were great and it was great to get pampered. Unfortunately the afternoon after I got home my finger nail polish chipped, the polish I paid $ 7 to upgrade that is supposed to last a week.

I scheduled appointments with Tobie for a wedding party — 5 of us had our nails done. I was doing all of this from afar and she was incredibly responsive, personable and interested in accommodating our needs. Her reminder system was very useful — sent me auto texts, and when I had a request, her staff took a message and she got back to me promptly about being able to accommodate for a specific service. We also had specific timeframes we had to work within and she had staff on hand to ensure we were out on time. The day of the appointments, things went great. Her team was very professional, friendly and did a great job. One of our party left a ring and she called after we left and said she could mail it if we liked understanding the tight schedule we had — we were able to pick it up, but I thought that was incredibly service oriented. They also were very sweet to my daughter, the flower girl and made sure she had just the right color for her nails! Thank you to the team at A Full On Salon for making our day enjoyable. If only I lived in Denver, I would have a place to go, but for anyone out there — go on and enjoy your time with them!

New to the area, was skeptical about finding a new salon. Luckily I was placed under Sarah’s care and she was absolutely wonderful. Not only did she give me EXACTLY the type of haircut I struggled to explain in coherent words, she left my hair feeling so happy and healthy I walked out of the salon with a completely new head of hair. This girl seriously has the magic touch, and is awesome besides that. So glad I found this salon

I just had the best salon experience while visiting my best girlfriend in Denver! This salon was amazing with stylish décor and friendly and skilled staff. My girlfriend treated me to a full salon experience and was also served a glass of wine, which completed the relaxing day. I will definitely be returning to A Full on Salon when I visit again in the Fall! Wish I lived closer!!!

I am changing my review to 3 stars because Tobie, the owner, did reach out to me and offer me a free facial. While I’m not interested in the facial, I thought it was nice of her to reach out. I’m not sure if it was because I was the only negative review, which she mentioned, or if it was out of sincerity but the act itself was nice.
Keeping things completely transparent, it’s not ok to delete a client’s appointment because you’re being vindictive. That’s probably one of the crappiest customer service experiences I’ve had.

I bought a Groupon for a Brazillian wax with Mandie. I couldn’t find parking outside and had to walk in the rain. I was soaked. I expected someone to maybe offer me a towel considering I was dripping water all over the salon, but I was just quickly taken downstairs for my appointment.
One of the first things she said to me was «Don’t worry. I’m quick.» And she was quick. Very. I was in and out of my appointment in less than 10 minutes. She may have been quick but she did not do a thorough job. She missed hairs and didn’t clean up the hairs with a tweezer that the wax didn’t get. I had to break out tweezer and a razor the next morning. A week later and I have stubble every where. I will not be visiting this salon again.

This is a great salon, with a great location! I’ve been getting my nails done by Savannah for about 3 months now– she always does a fabulous job!

I have followed the lovely Kristina M. from Lakewood to South Pearl to Wash Park, because she’s fantastic! And, luckily for me, the rest of A Full On Salon seems pretty great too.
The location, right around the corner from the Gaylord Street shopping, is terrific. The salon itself is very bright with huge windows and tons of natural light. Even the downstairs stations are very well lit. Everyone I talked to was friendly, and really, can you go wrong with a complimentary glass of wine?
Kristina is amazing with cuts and color– I have yielded all choices to her for a while now, and letting her be an artist is the best hair decision I’ve ever made. I haven’t been to this salon for nails or spa treatments yet, but I’m a fan of Aveda products so I can see myself making a visit for that, too.
«Wohoo! As good as it gets!» is the right description. Five stars!

I love this salon! Everyone one is friendly, very professional, and extremely knowledgeable! I happened to be walking by to have a late lunch and saw that they do PEDICURES! Amazing! They even have Aveda products!

Terrific new salon!!! I followed my hair stylist there, and it was wonderful. Great products, beautiful atmosphere, and great people. GO!!!
