Went here for a Meetup. Had a great time. DJ playing music downstairs with it piped upstairs on their outdoor patio. First time there but not sure I would go again without the Meetup. It was pretty empty downstairs. Not sure what makes or breaks places down here but most other places nearby did not seem very happening.

Shady, shady, shady. My clutch was stolen from the bar with my id, credit cards and phone. Immediately called my phone, it rang. Called again and the phone was off. One bartender stared me straight in the face and said I shouldn’t have left it there with a cocky attitude. Emailed the owner to ask him to check the cameras. Said they don’t have cameras. What kind of bar owner doesn’t have cameras in 2015. The next day I was told that the entire staff are bunch of coke heads. Lovely establishment, don’t go in!

The atmosphere was full was of energy on a Friday night. The décor is modern with some interesting lighting. Our server was friendly. It was very loud for me, though. The«kids» all seemed to enjoy it, but I really prefer a place where I can talk without shouting. Overall, though, great vibe.

I came here for a networking event and really liked the space. They have cider on tap, which is always a plus for me, because house wine in the U.S. is generally a bad idea if you have taste buds and I can’t drink beer. The service was fine, the acoustics were OK(much better than at other venues I’ve gone to for this purpose) and the bathroom was reasonably clean, although one of the two stalls in the ladies’ room did not lock.(Please fix that, Spill!) Pretty reasonable prices and lots of space to congregate. I don’t think I’d come to this place specifically unless I were attending an event there or happened to be in the neighborhood, but there are far worse bars in this area. If you’re coming by car and don’t want to deal with street parking, the Larimer Square parking garage entrance is just east of Spill; it’s pricey but convenient if you’re only going to be there for an hour or two. When you walk out of the parking garage onto Market, Spill is the first place on your left.

I went in this past friday, 8÷22÷14, and I have to say I am very disappointed in this bar. The staff is incredibly RUDE and anytime I go in they take the liberty to add an additional tip on top of the cash I leave them on the bar. I will be talking to the manager about the shady staff they have employed. I will unlikely ever go back here.

I’ve gotta say the two times I’ve been in this place I’ve been disappointed. The joint was empty on both visits, which were Fri/sats, and the place just give me a really sad vibe. But this may be because I’ve only chilled at the downstairs bar, but I’m totally sure its the upstairs is different bar or it connected. Either way, Spills is skip for me.

This place is a joke, the drinks are over priced, the space is far too small for the kind of thing they are trying to do. Not to mention went there the other night excited about seeing some local musicians. Halfway through the show the owner Brad decided he didn’t want to have the rest of the Artists finish, I want my money back. It was shit, not to mention this isn’t the 1st time I have seen some terrible management at this place. I don’t drink and when I asked for a red bull with pineapple he was like«you mean vodka right» I said no, just the pineapple and redbull, he rolled his eyes at me like it was a giant inconvenience. I was pissed. Save face and go somewhere, ANYWHERE but here.

Spill supported a great local effort today – someone organized some local artists of various kinds into one place for an event. It was family friendly for the afternoon with a lighter crowd, then planned for a larger turnout and more of an adult theme after 6. Nice idea, and the artists during the day were talented. This would have been a great way to help the community and advertise, etc. but unfortunately one thing changed how I felt. The upstairs bartenders were rude and unhelpful. They were even complaining in front of customers when it was slow earlier in the day. It was a downer. Great idea Spill – now just train your staff to be friendly! The venue itself was kind of cool.

Spill is the most uncomfortable bar in Denver. If you want to hang out with plastic snobs than this is the place for you. The owner/manager Brad is a very unprofessional business owner in the Denver bar scene. We’ve known about this for a while, but especially after what he did tonight it really showed me that he is a man that will never follow through with«his word» I had a buddy of mine set up an event more than two months ago, bent over backwards to promote it and get a lot of people out to his show. Everybody worked really hard on there performance, and we’re very professional about promoting there event. Brad the great owner he is decided to shut down the event for no good reason at all, leaving over 60 fans to leave the show before it even started. He did not give a good reason and lost a lot of good business. At the time he shut down the event dozens of people were still walking in the door to support all these great guys performances. This was very unprofessional, this place has been going down hill for a while. I do not recommend this spot to anybody looking for a cool joint to hang out. Hope this helps you.

Unfortunately the owner Brad, and the entire staff, do not believe in spreading a positive vibe. A friend of mine set up a large event at Spill which was supposed to occur through the day into the night 6/29, but it was abruptly cut short by the staff, claiming it was costing too much to keep the place open. They gave us fifteen minutes notice to completely evacuate the building, that included a live glass blower, a body painter, a stage loaded with sound equipment, and 60+ patrons. I’m highly disappointed with their uncouth and unprofessional matter of handling this event, but more so in the sadness they caused a large group of people only looking to spread the positive vibe.

We held our end of season party for our kickball league at Spill and it was AWESOME! Brad the owner was great to us and worked with us on the budget we had in mind. He reserved the upstairs patio for our group and staffed extra bartenders for our group party. His staff was great as well. Our group drinks lots of beer, LOTS of beer and since they don’t have draft beer upstairs we thought this might be a problem with keeping our drinks full, but his cocktail servers were busting their butts running up and down the stairs all night keeping us going. Our group throws parties all over Denver and we will for sure be back to rage with them again! Thanks Brad

Planning an event is a stressful process that involves a lot of time and creativity. Working with Spill Lounge was nothing short of a breeze. Brad and his staff took care of all of the arrangements to deliver the best party we’ve had to date. Our company throws meetups for our fans all over the country and it takes a special kind of place to handle this large and rowdy crew of internet celebrities and their fans. Spill has it down to a science. No stress was experienced leading up to the event. It was almost too easy, from start to finish. With little time to plan, Spill Lounge was happy to host our event and no request was too much for them to accommodate. Everything from a food art display to ice sculpture was taken care of, no questions asked. The whole coordination process was wonderful and communication was always on point. Brad even created a special menu complete with our logo and discounted offering of their best food items. The event was flawless. No attendee was stuck waiting in any lines at this«all you can drink» event. We were blown away by the staff who catered to our every need and made the night one to remember. The meetup was a hit, we are still getting emails from attendees a month later asking us to come back for round 2 at Spill. This establishment is one of a kind and definitely the best place to celebrate, whether it’s a company function or a night out on the town, Spill did not disappoint. We wouldn’t go anywhere else to party in Denver… period.

…and an update to my visit 50-ish days ago, from Brad, the owner. I find this very unusual in the LoDo market, because most owners, I would wager, could give a rat’s ass what you think of their place — there’s always 20 other people willing to swallow sh***y service, overpriced watered-down drinks, and sometimes weaksauce music. Brad was right on the ball the day or 2 after I posted my review, and here’s what he had to say: «Hi Stephen, I truly appreciate your comments. Unfortunately there was a mis-communication between the DJ’s and the event organizers. The event was planned 2 months in advance; I made it very clear to Terry and Michael that if the fashion show was on a Saturday the event would have to end at 11pm. If we had arranged for the DJ’s to play all night I would have gladly let them play but neither I or our resident VJ wasn’t given any notice or I could have given him the night off so he could get another gig. Does that make sense? The DJ’s that came in for the event were great and I hope to work with them again. Great event great cause! Hope to see you in the future! Next time you are in LoDo stop by we can discuss it further over a cold one.» I should know better than to believe certain single points of data as giving me the entire, *reliable* story on what happens — this isn’t the first time this has happened, or the 10th… but I thought since it only remotely touched me, I could rely on what I’d been told. Shoulda known… Thanks for going the extra mile Brad and telling me what happened, it is appreciated. Doing that, and the offer of the drink(whether I follow up on it or not)…that makes the management at Spill probably better than average for the LoDo Area. And better than average would be 4 stars. So… consider it done. Thanks again.(I do like the club, especially topside/patio and the sound system up there.)

I am pretty sure this is the drug den of Lodo. I stumbled in there with my brother who was visiting from out of town and there was weird energy in the air. As if every single person there was on coke. It was pretty much confirmed to me after seeing a white powdery substance on the restroom’s counter. We left after 1 drink. douchbag — check, loud music — check, weird vibe — check

Meat market? Loud music? What do you expect? It’s a lounge! If you don’t like it then avoid it! Looking for a good time, then come here. Plenty of good looking girls here! I’m from the ATL and checked out the nightlife in Denver. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. I had a good time. Definitely would love to come back. Look out for a cocktail server Eliana. She is Venezuelan HOTNESS! She will take care of you so take care of her. She blows Eva Mendes out of the water!

We went here after an Av’s game. It was loud and actually quite crowded for a Monday night. I was surprised. But this place is defiantly a meat market. You can not have a conversation, mostly all you hear is «How you doin baby?» from someone you don’t know. The drinks are somewhat expensive you know the club prices, but they are strong. My friend ordered a long island and it was so strong he almost couldn’t drink it, ALMOST. They play the top 40. They have a few maybe 4 booths to sit in but other than that it looked like it was standing room only. I did use the bathrooms and they were alright not super clean or fancy but I was not calling in the national guard. There was no cover on that Monday night but I don’t know about the other nights. Our waitress girl was nice. Even though we were standing and moving she would still find us and ask us if we needed anything. Very nice to see that kind of service in a night club setting.

The girls and I were in need of some serious time out of the house so we decided to try Spill. Walking in the bouncers from the place next door were trying to pull us into their spot. Completely annoying and trashy. Anyhow, we showed our ID’s and strolled into a semi busy room with tall ceilings and what seemed to be a designers’(or more likely the owner’s) attempt at a posh bar. Yeah… not impressed. I could throw some curtains around and leave my ceiling exposed and call it candy but that doesn’t make it a sweet design. Walking up to the bar, we ran into two small groups of guys that could’ve come straight out of Atlanta, GA. Flat brimmed hats, a mix of affliction and whatever that other cheap, flashy label is t-shirts and black or dark blue baggy jeans that could’ve housed 3 small orphan children. Also, being 5’7″ and in heels, every single one of them seemed to resemble an oompa loompa to me. [I just want to paint a picture here for all the ladies that enter this place.] After making our way through the various blots of pretentious and jagged compliments from thug life and his boys, I got a round of doubles for our crew. I will say, there was a ray of sunshine in the night, for doubles and 4 girls, it was slightly cheaper than other places have been. Moving on we perched up in a cozy little table upstairs that overlooks the first floor of the bar. Upstairs is tiny and has some sort of a dance floor with a DJ spinning(somewhat decent) music way too loud for the itsy bitsy space. After another round of drinks, we decided to make moves to the next spot. I think our total time spent there was probably an hour and half. Walking out, the bar looked much more sparse. Our ‘home boys’ had departed and the bar had only a few girls standing around it who, by the way, looked like they were straight out of high school. The disguise was somewhat there as, plenty of makeup had clearly been applied(to the point of adding layers to their faces) but it was the outfits that said it all. They were young. I’d be very careful of this Spill.

I have to say, I don’t hate this place. This is not praise by any means, but it is tolerable, which is more than I can say for most of the clubs in LoDo. The first time I rolled in here with a friend, the bar was practically empty. The music was fun and accompanied by music videos played over the bar. There were several very good looking guys walking by, so my friend and I drew straws as to which of us would ask the bartender if we had perhaps wandered into a gay bar. We were told no, the bikini contest was upstairs. Whoops! So, we sauntered upstairs and yes, there was a bikini contest. But, it was not the usual«girls on vacation» or «my drunk friend» kind of deal. In fact, I could just about guarantee that every girl in the contest worked for an escort service and were using the event to drum up business. If you had been there, you would have seen what I mean by that. They all seemed to be handing out business cards and flirting with all the guys on the rooftop patio. What the hell had we gotten ourselves into? Well, they all seemed to leave at exactly the same time and then the iPod DJ put on some umpcha-umpcha music. My friend and I decided to dance and of course, all the amped up boys decided to come over and dance with us. I dropped in here a second time for an event that my friend dragged me to. Eh, I can deal with this place, but would never put it on my destination list.

Spill is sort of like the ultimate downtown meat market. And not only is it full of overly drunk men thanks to the strength of its drinks, you usually have to wait in a rather longish line to have the opportunity to hang out with them. And I’m pretty sure the line outside just moves straight to the bathroom line once they are admitted because that line there is often just tortuous. They play lots of top 40/hip-hop music through some sort of video system on T.V.s scattered around the bar and like I said before the drinks are super strong. I have sort of outgrown bars like this, but if you’re in your early/mid 20s and looking to hook up or need a place to take a bachelorette party Spill could be just what you’re looking for…
