I’ve met the owner of Taboot and he’s a super friendly guy, as is everyone I’ve dealt with from there. Having said that, they asked to buy a design from me for a shirt and long story short, never paid me for it or sent me samples of the shirt like they promised. I know they printed it because they sent photos. I live in a different state so I couldn’t go visit in person. Whenever I contacted them they were friendly about it, but then never followed up at all. Very unprofessional. If you do get merchandise from Taboot, you’ll find that the workmanship is fine, but they are notoriously unreliable to do business with.

When I decided to make custom shirts as Christmas gifts I chose Taboot because of their Unilocal rating. After dealing with Taboot, I wouldn’t do business with them if they paid me. Back up, I have been an avid user of Unilocal for the last few years. My 5 Star reviews are written objectively, and I’ll do my best do so with my first 1 Star review. For Christmas this year, I decided to have some custom t-shirts made for my brother and a few friends that are die-hard Broncos fans. I did some research, found Taboot on Unilocal and picked them based off of their 4.5 Star rating. I went to Taboot on Friday December 17th to place my order and spoke with a guy in his early 20’s who was pretty helpful. I explained to him exactly what I wanted and he made several comments like,” this will be no problem, the design is simple and we can have the shirts shipped and finished by Christmas in no time.” The design was extremely simple and I only requested 5 shirts so I didn’t think it would be much of an issue. His only concern was that I only wanted to print 5 shirts to begin with. He explained that with set-up time, and time to mock up the shirt they needed to charge me a base price of $ 100 to make it «worth it» for them to do business with me. I figured that even though he told me the shirts were only $ 6 a piece, $ 20 a shirt for simple screen-printing was fair. I pre-paid for the order and he told me that he would email me the artwork that afternoon for my approval and they would call me as soon as the shirts were finished. At this point I was satisfied and was looking forward to giving a unique Christmas gift. Perhaps I should’ve taken a closer look. I never received the artwork on Friday. I waited until Monday(Dec 20th) afternoon and called Taboot when I still hadn’t heard from them. After calling 3 times with no answer, I left a message and requested a call back. I didn’t receive a call by close of business Monday so I decided I would go into Taboot to check on my order. I live 50 mins away, but I really wanted to make sure everything would work out with my gifts. Tuesday afternoon I went to Taboot. I took an orange American Apparel shirt with me thinking that if they hadn’t received the shirts we ordered that they could at least print 1 of the shirts for me to give to my brother on Christmas day. When I arrived I spoke with the owner and after a few minutes of rummaging through files he found my order. It was clear that my order had not been started yet and he said,” I don’t know what he was smoking when he quoted you this price but this is way too low.” I informed him that I prepaid for the order and expected my shirts by Christmas as promised. I gave him the orange shirt I brought and he said he would take care of my order, email me the artwork and call me as soon as they were finished. I waited until today(Christmas Eve) and called Taboot 3 times around 11am before finally reaching the owner. I had still not received the artwork and he told me that a couple employees were on vacation and that they were still working on orders that were due on Wednesday(as though my order was not due). He said they might be able to get my order done by 7pm. At this point I was furious. It is Christmas Eve, I ordered my shirts a week ago, they haven’t been started yet and the owner is throwing his employees under the bus and making excuses. He said he would, «check with the shop» to see if they could have them done earlier and call me back. I waited over an hour and still had not heard from him. I called back and he still didn’t have an answer for me so I cancelled my order; as the shirts aren’t really useful as Christmas gifts at this point. I asked for a refund and he informed me that I would have to make the 50-minute drive to their store because they needed my credit card to refund my money. At this point I was enraged and repeated,” So I have to drive all the way down there just to get a refund now?” to which he replied,” yep, we’ll be here!“ At no point during our entire interaction did I receive an apology or the slightest hint that they cared. I hate writing negative reviews on anything, but with Taboot, I’m at a loss. It’s 3pm on Christmas Eve, and now I’m scrambling to find a gift for my brother that will have no thought or meaning behind it. Eventually, I will have my shirts made… and if they turn out well, I’ll end up printing a couple thousand of them. I started a Broncos Fan club in DC and its now the largest NFL fan club in the country… Maybe if I would’ve ordered all of them up front they would’ve cared about my business… I guess the silver lining this Christmas is that when I do have them done I can find a shop that delivers. Merry F*@#&^# Christmas Taboot. 0 Stars. Update: I traveled to Taboot 3 separate times to get my refund. The first two times no one was at their shop — DURINGTHEIRPOSTEDNORMALBUSINESSHOURS. Never got my shirt back and refund took 2 weeks.

Taboot Art is a great place! I got a great deal on t-shirts for my band, they designed a poster for us and the service is on point. As far as the staff goes you couldn’t ask for a friendlier bunch of people. I love Taboot art!

I placed an order for a simple screen burn a week earlier based on their specs of the art they could burn. I called the morning of to find out if it was done after the third call somebody answered and informed me that I would not be getting my screens till the following day. The following day they called and told me they specs they gave me were wrong and they couldn’t go that big… I was already missing my deadline so I told them to just burn it. They cropped the art and doubled my workload, and burned the art to different screens than the ones I brought. They offered no monetary compensation for anything…

GREAT designs! Went in last week to find a birthday present for my girlfriend, ended up getting a shirt for myself as well! T-shirts were good quality, not the cheaper thin shirts you find much too often. The nice staff was good at helping me choose the correct size, b/c I’m clueless when it comes to shopping for my girl!
