Walking in the door, it was a bit awkward as there was no hostess nor hostess stand to wait by so you’re stuck looking around.(Note, this was on a Sunday night so not busy). A waiter(I assume) walked by and mumbled he’d be right back and then seated us. It seemed like he was not having a good day because he was not friendly at all. Thank god he was not our waiter. Our waiter(a young guy who seems a bit foreign) was awesome. I wish I remembered his name because I would give him 5 stars. Myself and my date both ordered the filet. Great steak overall, but I would have to complain that it was a thinner cut and fairly wide(almost like a ribeye). I would’ve expected the traditional tall/thick round cut of filet from a place like Ted’s. But hey, the flavor was there so I cannot complain about appearance. What I loved about this place was their Old Fashioned. It has a nice sweetness that differentiates the drink from most and I will literally come back here some day just to sit at the bar and have one if I’m not in the mood for a steak.

Will never go back. Server was obnoxious. Ordered the bison strip med med well and it came out bloody. Sides were luke warm. Such a limited wine menu. Dropped over $ 300 for 7 of us and nothing was worthy of the prices. So disappointing.

Third time coming to the Teds downtown, not can’t get drinks refilled for the family. At prices like these service should be better.

Great location, friendly staff. Ted’s always has good food, and this one is no exception. Can’t beat the location either. Love downtown and the Larimer area in particular.

If I could just simply have the pickled cucumbers and wine, I would be oh so happy here. It is a really comfortable place, although I laughed to my friend as I pointed out I was only the woman in the restaurant… definitely a «dude’s» place. That certainly doesn’t deter me, I actually plan on going back to check out more of the menu. I had Ted’s chopped salad and cheesecake, which came out promptly by a very proficient waitress who was on day one there.

Bad experience. Our waitress spilled a full glass of beer on my pants, my coat, my chair and our table. Accident — fair enough. But, no help at all from anyone cleaning up the mess. We had to ask for napkins and got a pile of washroom napkins. No offer to pay for cleaning coat or pants; I guess that is on me. No fresh table cloth — just bathroom napkins over the wet corner. No manager coming over. Our waitress said the manager would comp a beer !. That’s it. As for the food, it was delivered promptly, the bison filet was outstanding, onion rings and asparagus were good, french fries poorer than most fast food. The salad we ordered did not come; only the salad dressing.

Ted’s is always a go to for a great solid buffalo burger. The meat is tender and juicy this location with the patio on LoDo is great for people watching as well. The pickles they give you when you sit down are so good I always ask for more. We started with the wedge and it was great with an overabundance of bacon, dressing, and tomatoes. We then split a buffalo burger with caramelized onions and swiss cheese. It was cooked perfect and tasted great. The onions could have been more plentiful, and the fries were a bit soggy. Overall another solid meal from Ted’s.

Ted’s is excellent no matter which outlet I visit. I am not one for chain restaurants but I really do like Ted’s because the food is freshly made, simple American food done well! They also always have excellent service and excellent drinks. There was a small snafu with our order and it did not come out in a timely manner because something happened with the order ticket. We were having such a relaxing time sipping on our drinks and eating salad that we did not even notice. The manager came over and apologized, offered appetizers or whatever we wanted and made sure our food came out quickly. In the meantime, our server was keeping up with us as well to ensure we were enjoying our time at Ted’s. Our food was great as usual and the cookie afterward was super chocolaty and delicious. For great American food made from scratch– NOT frozen and warmed up like many American chains, come to Ted’s. Also they have very comfy seating and a generally nice ambiance. Finally, you get what you pay for at Ted’s– it may be a couple bucks more than the frozen food offering chains, but you get fresh food that takes more human resources and therefore slightly higher prices.

This franchise was started by Ted Turner I am told, so as we have a common school in McCallie, I had to try it out on my first night in Denver. The outdoor seating was quite busy on this pleasant evening so I chose an indoor booth. Don’t miss the quotes located high on the inner wall! The setting proved a relaxing environment, and the service was superb if a bit on the slow side. I had the chili, which, if not unique, was flavorful. The salad following was excellent, and they blackened the chicken at my request though not on the menu. All in all I can heartily recommend this establishment.

Upon my first visit to this chain– which I’d avoided for years, incorrectly thinking this was Ted Nugent’s establishment– I was surprised to have eaten such a delicious filet. We arrived not long before the kitchen was to start closing, but were not rushed and our server was attentive rather than being annoyed with having a late table. Lastly, being gluten-intolerant, anytime I eat outside of my home and don’t get sick it is a SUCCESS!

Smoothest and tastiest old fashion I have ever had. Ruby red cocktail very delicious. Service is great. Nachos were tasty but not as loaded as I was expecting. The bison short ribs, as described, were fall off the bone tender. Unfortunately the carrot side was blanched rather than cooked to tenderness but the mashed potatoes were good and genuine rather than jnstant. The new Mexico bison burger was a cool combination of flavors. Thy guacamole was really just avocado but it was still wonderful. Overall a great meal!

Hands down the best bison burger you will find anywhere! Nice location downtown with good street views. Loved this restaurant so much that we specifically looked for another Ted’s in Montana on our way home. Will return definitely. I would like to try every burger on the menu!

«Highly recommend Ted’s» are the words of my friends as I was planning this very exciting date night. After all this country boy was taking a date to the big city to see the legendary Neil Diamond. After weeks of planning and spending a ton of cash on VIP tickets I will admit my expectations were high. I wanted dinner to be perfect too. We took care to arrive with plenty of time to enjoy a leisurely meal this beautiful evening on Ted’s outdoor patio. Upon arrival we were told the wait would be «no more than 20 minutes and probably less for the patio». We watched them seat many others ahead of us but could tolerate it for a while understanding that people make reservations. What was I thinking not making reservations! After a considerably longer wait than anticipated we got a romantic little table where we could experience the beautiful noise of the city. We had plenty of time to take it in as the waitress stopped by several times to let us know that she would be taking our order soon and the numerous apologies from the host for our very long wait. As the evening progressed with the service of water long after we were seated we were blessed with the presence of a waitress who finally took our order. I have a bad memory but I had plenty of time to memorize the menu and decide what to eat. We were getting a little nervous now that the comfort of our early arrival had turned anxious for being late to the concert so we ordered what we thought would be fastest — already cooked prime rib. The waitress said«good choice» and flurried away and my mouth watered in anticipation. I like to give balanced reviews with comments on service, atmosphere, quality and presentation of food, and my overall impressions. I feel like I am cheating you because I cannot comment on the food because we never got it. You see… they didn’t have it. No prime rib, sorry. I am usually pretty forgiving but when you deliver this news this late in the game it’s game over. To add insult to injury it was as if they waited and waited to tell us just to see how we would react. Perhaps we were on a candid camera or something. I can almost hear them in the back saying«Let’s see how much delay this couple can take then tell them we don’t have their food». I am sure most upscale big city restaurants understand that they are just not slopping food out to feed the masses. I am sure they must understand that people pay their exorbitant prices for more than just a tasty piece of meat. Sometimes it’s about the experience. Let me repeat this, not they they will lever read this or even care what I say, I went to Ted’s for the experience. I got one alright — they ruined my dinner, they gave upscale big city dining a bad name, and I will never eat here but I will recommend this: «I highly recommend you not try to eat at Ted’s Montana Grill». And again can I recommend to Unilocal to add a zero star option because I feel overly generous giving this place one star. I guess the water was cold, the ice was clear, and we got to enjoy the beautiful noise. Maybe that is worth something…

I decided to eat some western Denver food. I ordered a Denver burger made from Bison that had some kind of raspberry sauce on it. ITWASGREAT! The servers were also helpful and friendly with giving information about the city.

Miss this place since it closed in Leawood. Had pecan trout, with roasted Parmesan broccoli and squash casserole for sides. Very good, and large portion of fish.

Tried my first bison burger at Ted’s. Everyone at the table kept telling me to order the burger rare or medium rare. I generally don’t like to order rare or medium so I ordered it medium well. The meat was cooked exactly the way I like it and definitely was’t dry. Ted’s gives you a huge bison patty, which actually took away from my experience. While I don’t want a piece of meat that you have to search for, this was probably a a half pound of meat, which was too much for a burger. The sides(kale salad and fries) were good and the service was adequate.

Giving two stars is not something I do lightly nor do I like to do. However, when you dine out it’s a treat and isn’t free. When I am so annoyed that I cannot wait to leave it really irks me. Last night my girlfriends and I came for happy hour. I’ve never been here before and I love trying new places so I was game. For happy hour you can sit in the bar or patio only. No biggie — it was a gorgeous day so we sat on the patio. And then we waited. And waited. Finally our server came and got a drink order. I asked about the Buffalo Gold and she told me it was a better version of PBR. What?! That’s not a selling point which I told her and we laughed about. I ordered it anyway and it was good but I’d definitely steer clear of her description for future sales. Then we waited some more. Finally my friend got up and went inside. The servers were hanging out in the front talking. She said our waitress might need some help as we were out of water and needed to order food. Our waitress showed up and took our order. The chips and dip we ordered for an app were ok. The dip wasn’t anything exciting at all with little flavoring. We all ordered burgers and all of ours were over cooked substantially. I pointed this out to our waitress which she agreed but did nothing about. Then we waited and waited for the check. In short I will not be visiting again. The food was mediocre and I don’t enjoy asking someone every step of a dining experience to do their job
