I always have a blast here, my favorite neighborhood bar. Thursday nights is the nught to go of your starting your weekend early. Especially because they have karaōke!

Awesome time with my friends. Atmosphere is not that tight and beers were good. I must say though that the pizza servings are a bit small. But, what I love most is the comfortable feeling you have when you are in a familiar place where you know mostly everyone. That is how I feel in this place.

Atmosphere is nice. Not sure what the name has to do with the actual bar cause there wasn’t a single car in that bar. The bartender had a fake«nice» personality and I did not like him from the beginning.

Pretty good vibe, interesting and fun people. Bartender was a little sharp at first but he grew on our table and we ended up having a great experience with him. Liked the environment more and more throughout the night.

Bar tender w pony tail thought he was too cool for school. Drink was made strong, strong enough for me to stay more than 5 minutes. Wouldn’t recommend. Heavy hand, but not worth my time.

Great space for a night out. Its small but intimate. There is a cute outdoor patio and a very comfy couch to enjoy as soon as you walk in. The staff was FAST and super friendly. Great music available, everything from War pigs to Silver Springs. Its literally everything you want in a bar.

My gal friend and I discovered Bar Car last night when we met up for a drink. The prices are fantastic, the service was wonderful, and the ambience perfect for a night of conversation. The wait staff did a phenomenal job being attentive while allowing us plenty of space to catch up. Definitely a place we will be returning!

Pretty decent CO beer selection at about $ 4 a pop! Can’t beat that. The place is never full but it’s never empty either, which I love because it’s not overly loud. It’s a little dark on the inside but if you’re with a small group, it’s perfectly fine. It’s a nice place to just hang out and the bartenders are really great guys. Also, you can get pizza while sitting at the bar :) Who doesn’t love that?

We went here on a Friday night and while the place wasn’t busy, it took a long time to even find the bartender. Seems as though the place is a little understaffed since the bartender had to run around so much. The décor was nice though! But we didn’t stick around long, we moved on to a place where we could get served quicker.

Dive bar with a very eclectic vibe… right up my alley! This place has a very laid back atmosphere, and a very unique ambiance that make me feel comfortable right away. This place is definitely a gem! I came in for happy hour on a Friday afternoon with some fellow dental students, and we were all very impressed by the awesome prices(again, we’re broke dental students!) The place was very obviously understaffed, but the servers did a great job of letting us know we were there and taking our orders as quickly as they could. My friends and I are a pretty easy-to-please crowd when it comes to happy hour, so we had a great experience nonetheless! One of my friends ordered a small pizza and it came adorably small. Not sure how much he paid for it, but if you order this, know it’s definitely not enough for a meal… we called it fun sized! He was raving about how delicious it was as well, so I would probably order a pizza the next time I stop in for a drink.

Great place for deep dish pizza. They also have thin crust, and other italianesque menu items. …did I mention that it is also a pretty cool bar. Great décor and decent volume of music for a good conversation. Chandeliers and red tones. Definitely a diamond in the rough for the area.

An unexpected surprise for me when I wondered in a couple years ago. With usually a great crowd of loyal patrons. The tap selection is just what the doctor ordered. I came to this spot years ago when the university hospital was across the street and I remember a different scene but nonetheless it still a fun and unassuming joint. I have yet to order pizza from deep dish pizza that is wedged in the back corner but I here it’s good stuff. It’s nice go to for meeting friends for a quick cold one or hanging for the night and seeing where the night takes you. Even if it is only across the street to Trader Joes for a snack on the way home. They have a daily specials everyday and Friday night is ladies night. Ladies feel free to pack the bar, I know the guys won’t mind!

Nice little place in Denver. Came here on a business trip a few months back. The décor is dark and so is the lighting. They have some pretty good pizza to give you a good base for heavy drinking. This is a Bar… Not a Club, Lounge, venue, or anything else, but A BAR… oh with some killa pizza. Bartenders and patrons are friendly as others have said. Hell, any place where two strangers from Texas can walk in a be-friend, joke, and take shots with locals is my kind of place. Very chill vibe. Not a tourist spot, and that is why it is a good place to drink.

One of my favorite pizza and Moscow Mule places in Denver! This bar is a bar– it’s decorated to look like a train bar car. Get it? So it’s a little cramped, a lot kitschy, and has quite a bit of character. There are regulars drinking and people who wander in after an exhausting trip through Trader Joes. The bartenders/wait staff are helpful and pour good, strong drinks. The pizza here is only served certain hours– and the ones listed online may or may not be accurate. Be ware! The pizza is a thick, cakey deep dish with plentiful toppings and a healthy serving of grease. If you wanted health food, there are other places to go but here. They pour a mighty fine Moscow mule and have good beers available too. The beauty of this place is its simplicity– not too many options of food, but the options of drinks are great. Enjoy!

Nice little bar. Good atmosphere. Pizza is awful so stick to the booze and you’ll be fine. One of the better bars in the Hilltop area.

I stopped by the Bar Car a couple of Saturdays afternoons ago. It was one of those warm, late afternoons that was calling for a beer or two. Plus I’d heard that they were serving some mighty fine Chicago style pies out of the back of the place. Upon entering the overall vibe that of a cool little bar, with a feel that it’s mostly a locals hangout. It’s not a giant place, as others have mentioned, but there was plenty of room for us so that was fine with me. The drink menu had lots of fun looking cocktails but I was thinking beer and found a tasty ale. I noticed a window along the back wall of the place for the Denver Deep Dish, so I was expecting when the time came I’d have to walk back and place our order there. However, when the bartender came to our table he asked if we were going to be eating and when we said yes he made sure we knew he’d be taking both our food and drink orders. We ordered a meatball, mushroom, onion, and fresh herbs deep dish pie, along with a spinach salad to split while we waited for the pizza. And FYI, if you’ve never ordered a Chicago deep dish pie you will need to be patient. They usually take at least 20 – 25 minutes in the oven. The salad was pretty good, but using small pizza tins instead of plates seemed a little weird. The pizza was awesome, made the old school Chicago style with the whole milk mozz. on the bottom, followed by plenty of toppings, and finished on top with a touch of red sauce that had lots of good-sized chunks of tomatoes. It also had some fresh basil and parsley chopped up on top. All in all a very yummy and fresh tasting pie! There’s some parking in the lot to the north. There were lots open on a Saturday afternoon but I’m guessing that’s not the case on busier evenings.

Did not care for their deep dish pizza at all. There was hardly any cheese and tasted old. Maybe it was because I got a slice insteD of a whole pie, but still. Ambience was meh. They were playing dawn of the dead on their TVs, and as a person who can’t tolerate gross horror movies, I thought this was in poor taste. Drink specials were fine, it was a nice place and was clean with friendly staff, but I was surprised about the pizza.
