Attention, vegans(or vegetarians) in search of a delicious morning meal – Egg Kitchen has got you. When I found myself unexpectedly out and about before I’d had a chance to eat breakfast one snowy morning, I considered my options and started to feel a little weepy.(That happens when my blood sugar drops.) My go-to vegan breakfast places were just too far – Sputnik and City O City are each a 20 minute drive away. I considered Einstein’s, but I wasn’t feeling a bagel with hummus, which is their only vegan option. As I glumly pondered getting hash browns from a fast food place, I noticed Egg Kitchen and I turned into the parking lot. I felt a wee bit silly asking for a vegan meal at a place named for eggs, but they were helpful and gracious. And the result was delicious. There are quite a few vegetarian options, including ratatouille over bread with eggs. I could have had that sans eggs, but instead I opted for the filling of a vegetarian omelette(spinach, mushrooms, tomato, onions, peppers & zucchini) over a neat little cake of hash browns. I asked if they were crispy and the server explained they weren’t as crispy as some hash browns because they’re made from organic potatoes, carrots and onions. I opted for them anyway and she was exactly right, but they were delicious anyway. The only caution I have for you is that it’s not cheap. My eggless«omelette» was $ 8.50; with eggs it’s $ 10. There’s granola, yogurt and fruit($ 6), oatmeal with berries & brown sugar($ 6), or cereal for $ 4. They have sandwiches, too; the Veggie Avocado($ 8) would be vegan without the cucumber aioli. The«Organic Quinoa and Whole Wheat Rice Soup»($ 7) sounds intriguing and is marked Vegetarian, so it’s likely vegan as well(but I didn’t ask). The atmosphere is lovely, too, with a well-thought out design that leans to the shabby chic. I recommend the place for vegans and vegetarians as well omnivores.

I’m so sad I don’t like this place, as I would love to have a great independently owned non-chain breakfast place in the neighborhood. First, the good — great location, nice décor/ambiance, good fresh-squeezed o.j. Unfortunately, the food doesn’t have much flavor and it’s over-priced. I’ve been twice now, and didn’t love my food either time. The people I was with both times said the same. None of the egg dishes have much flavor. And the hash browns suck — they have shredded carrots and I think maybe shredded cabbage in them, and don’t taste good at all. The one thing I tried that was good was the strawberry pancakes. I think this place is pretty expensive for breakfast. $ 3.29 for a small coffee! Maybe because it’s organic, I’m not sure — but it wasn’t worth it. I would love for this place to succeed, but sadly, I’m not so sure it will. I won’t try it again unless they add some flavor to their menu.

Really good food. We had the The Kitchen Omelette and Huevos del Rancho. Definitely recommend the Kitchen Omelette. The sauce on it was great! Coffee was good and strong. Going back to try the Atlantic Omelette, with shrimp. Nice wait staff and hostess.

My first time in was not impressive. The hostess was nice and sat us quickly but the that was the only good part of the visit. Our waiter was so slow that two tables who arrived after us were seated, served and left all before our food came out. My friend ordered coffee before we ordered food and the coffee came out at the same time as the food. There was a produce sticker in her water and let me tell you, it was not organic like they claim. When she alerted our server to it she said«you weren’t supposed to see where we get it from.» The scrambled eggs were runny, you can’t call yourself«The Egg Kitchen» if you can’t properly scramble an egg. I got the Nutella waffles, which were average. There was hardly any Nutella and the whipped cream ended up melting in the middle and creating a soggy mess. For the price you pay, this place is not worth it. I will not be returning.

Decided to try this place out. When we walked in we were seated right away. There was nobody else in the restaurant other then my boyfriend and I. The restaurant was sorta clean. There were empty plates laying on some tables off to the back. After looking over the menu I settled for the French toast and my boyfriend got the salmon omelette. Presentation was good and the food came out in a timely manner. The French toast tasted like something a five year old just tried to make. It was dry so I used the syrup on every bite. I could only eat one slice due to the taste which resembles the generic pre-sliced bread that is a week old. The salmon omelette was ok. The potatoes that it came with were discussing! They had so much salt on them that my boyfriend said it was like a salt lick you see for horses. Our waitress never came back and some other lady came to grab the plates and gave us our check. She didn’t ask how the food was or if we wanted boxes. Keep in mind that my plate was barely touched same goes for my boyfriend. After we paid over $ 30 we left and went to McDonald’s. I would not recommend this place. I’m actually surprised on how they are still open. If you are hungry go somewhere else.

We love that there’s a great breakfast place near where we live that doesn’t have exorbitant wait times! Most entrees are in the $ 9 – 12 range which is reasonable for breakfast. The fresh squeezed OJ is on the high end at $ 5/cup which I did not think was worth it. They don’t serve alcohol so for those who need it for breakfast, this isn’t something you can get there. I had the Garden Benedict and loved everything. The pesto with the perfectly poached eggs was delicious. It’s served on a bed of spinach spread across 1 wheat toast slice that is cut in half. The potatoes were also pretty good and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My kids had dessert for breakfast with their vanilla ice cream and chocolate chip waffle — they loved it! It was a HUGE waffle(8“x8″) and 3 small scoops of ice cream dollops on top of sprinkled chocolate chips. It was big enough that they could’ve shared one and been satisfied. The bacon was perfectly cooked but the sausage was disappointing. It seems to be a chorizo patty rather than the breakfast pork sausage we were expecting. Neither protein is included with the waffle but we ordered them as sides. They try to serve all organic and I think that’s reflected in the pricing since organic food is costlier. If this isn’t important to you, you probably won’t like how much you have to pay for the food. With that said, we felt the portions were perfect(not the gigantic portions Americans are so used to). We were happy to have tried it and will try and make it a place to which we will return.

Don’t trust the reviews of this place on Unilocal — every time I write a negative review they get it deleted! How can you ever trust a place that makes sure all negative reviews are erased. At first my problem was with the staff, their rude attitude and«don’t come here if you have any sort of dietary restrictions» attitude(I was actually told that on the phone, word for word) is appalling. The food is way overpriced for the tiny portions. I usually end up having to eat a second breakfast after eating there because the portions are so tiny.

First time here since it opened a few months ago. Wife had Eggs Benedict which she proclaimed«OK» while I had the 2 egg scramble with ham. Better tasting than Village Inn, Denny’s or any of several similar places. Although the menu says that my meal includes toast of choice, I ordered sourdough and was told it cost 75 cents more.? Well, I figure perhaps the quality of bread is better than«choice of toast», but it was just ordinary sourdough bread like available through grocery store. No jam delivered with meal so had to go get some from coffee station. Had cup of coffee with meal, and although it was good coffee, no refill was offered. We were here at 9:30 Friday morning and were one of 4 occupied tables. I hope this place improves service and becomes a viable business because this part of Denver needs more restaurant choices. But if our experience this morning is indicative of standard operations I’m afraid the business cannot succeed.

What a cool spot! Went here for a team breakfast and was really into the vibe — very Pottery Barn meets Anthropologie. Like the unique menu and healthy options. I also am a tea drinker and they serve one of my faves(Mighty Leaf) with an adorable decorative tea-pot like something you’d find at World Market. I was tempted to take off with it, but I’m not that kinda girl and it weighed 20 lbs so it was going to be difficult to conceal in my purse. We were the only customers in there at 7:30am and there was one server. She was super friendly and accommodating to my «special needs» diet. One of us did order a gluten free pancake and was served a gluten one, but the server did correct it before she dove in and chowed down. Phew! That was a close one. I give it the four stars because of that mishap and service was a tad slow since we were the only ones there. I’ll give them another go and see how it goes.

So cute! This is by far the best breakfast place in the area, thank god, we have been waiting years for a good one! The server said it was her first day and she still did great, atmosphere is super cute, even the salt shakers are adorable! Got the ham Benedict and it was delish. For sure our new breakfast/brunch place :)

Because they are new to the ‘hood and perhaps tweaking their operation, I am giving them a 3. If, a few months from now, the experience is similar to this past weekend, they will get a 2. Here was the net: –Décor: Well designed front area, great flow through the small space but oddly looks like an IKEA stage. –Selection: not bad, focused on fresh/organic options… Benedict heavy though. Would be great to see more locally inspired dishes –Wife had prosciutto benes: they were a tad cold, but decent flavor and a tad over-priced. Price point should be closer to 7 – 8. Potatoes were not done. –I had the Kitchen Omellete which had great flavor. Toast was overly toasty and potatoes were not done. Service: started out good, but as they got busier, coffee cups were low and the hot sauce tap was dry.

absolutely delicious, flavorful, and healthy breakfast. I’m so glad I came in here. The Unilocal reviews and rating do not do justice for this family style breakfast place. The host is kind, every staff is thoughtful and asked about my meal or my day. It was a great meal from beautiful hands.

We’re so happy to finally have a good breakfast place in our neighborhood! The service is friendly and efficient. The space is well decorated with lots of natural light. The menu has five or six Benedict options and a few varieties of waffles and french toast. They have a good selection of high quality tea, fresh squeezed oj, and great coffee. Our eggs were poached fairly well(mostly runny — always a challenge at these breakfast joints). The ingredients they used were organic, fresh, and tasteful. They offered us a high chair and clean toys for our little one. I don’t really understand the negative reviews. It seems that people have oddly high expectations of a breakfast restaurant. Also, there are always lines out the door at Breakfast on Broadway, where they consistently mess up our eggs, and Snooze, where they have terrible service. Don’t get me started on Syrup and their terrible syrups. I’d rather go to The Egg Kitchen.

Same old story. Tried a new restaurant in the neighborhood, and really wanted to like it. But I just didn’t. The Egg Kitchen seems to be trying to suceed on a concept similiar to maybe Snooze or Syrup. Fancier items, a bit more on the pricy side, but you are supposed to be getting something different than at a typical Village Inn type breakfast restaurant. They heavily advertise everything to be organic.
So for like $ 10 my husband gets their fancy organic Huevos Rancheros. And he gets a tortilla with eggs and salsa on it, and a side of hash browns. And not a large portion. It was nothing special. But, hey, it was all organic. I want a waffle. But they don’t have just waffles on the menu. If you want a waffle off the menu it comes with a bunch of stuff on it. And I don’t want nutella or ice cream on my waffle. You can get a plain waffle if you ask, but it is not something they serve as a menu item. And my waffle, well, no offense, but it wasn’t good. I think I prefer the Eggo’s I make at home from my freezer. And the syrup they gave me was cold. I started with a luke warm, not that good waffle with cold syrup and was just disappointed. But hey, it was all organic. I will say the service wasn’t bad. But there was no one there, and if the service was bad, I would have been shocked. Last thing I didn’t like was that there were no sort of combination plates. So, if I want a waffle and eggs and bacon, I am likely going to end up paying $ 15 or something ridiculous. I think some of the good reviews must have been written by friends or family of the owners or something. Sorry, won’t be back.

Organic eggs! :-) I’m really happy this place opened. It’s convenient, being near the highway, the food is a little more imaginative than most breakfast places and is well prepared, the coffee is fantastic, and the staff are great! Elizabeth, the manager, is attentive and sweet, and Stephanie, the hostess, is fabulous. She is worth the price of admission alone.

This place is a breath of fresh air for our neighborhood which has a lot of chain breakfast places. Great décor, friendly staff and the vegetarian selections are great. Love that everything is organic and the coffee is just amazing. Loved chatting with the friendly staff about their new start here. Will be back many times.

My family and I spend a lot of time and money on finding our happy food places. When we came in here and saw the menu I was completely unimpressed. Not because of the selection but because of the lack of information on it. However, once we ordered, everything negative I had to say was QUICKLY dissolved. I ordered what I wanted, and without fail, it was EXACTLY what I wanted. Cooked right, looked right, tasted right and even more so than I expected. It was all a very pleasant surprise. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied customers. We will be back every week!

Wanted to try this new restaurant because it’s so close to where I live. I definitely won’t return. Service was bad, which can be fixed, but the food was bland and over-priced for what it was. We asked for over easy eggs and wound up with scrambled, the waitress never brought our toast even after we reminded her. Food was cold. Service was awful and the food was not good.

My family decided to check out this new restaurant after receiving a couple $ 5 off coupons they were handing out at the local grocery store. The location has lots of parking and the inside is unique and fun. The bar area reminds me a little too much of Denver’s favorite brunch place — Snooze. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The menu looked good and had tons of options. We decided to order a little bit of everything. Waffles, pancakes and a savory egg dish. Food was prepared well and in a timely manner. Overall, the waffles were a hit. They tasted fantastic. The eggs were nice too. The pancakes were really nothing special and we ended not finishing them. The one suggestion would be to list the type of meats they have as sides. It was mentioned in several areas that you can choose a meat, but they were never listed. Overall, I was happy until we went to pay. We had a party of 4 and I provided my credit card and the two $ 5 coupons. When she came back, I was advised that it was only 1 coupon per table. /nowhere did not state that/. Rather than assume, it should have been communicated to me before running my card. I ended up paying without saying anything and handed my other coupon to another table to use. With this being a brand new restaurant and having so many incredible choices for Breakfast in Denver, a little bit of flexibility would have went a long way.

This is a for sure a five star restaurant with an amazing menu. From organically to fresh squeeze orange juice, gluten free, fresh cooking and great specialty coffees. I had the Atlantic Salmon Egg Benedict and it was to die for. I will for sure go back and try the whole menu. This is a great restaurant with an easy access from I-25 and with a lot of parking spaces. For sure a very recommended place, you must try!
