I know these places are all over town, though they aren’t my first choice typically, and generally I don’t make it to this one outside of once a year b/c parking is a pain in this area, but I must say that when I have been in, this place has been a good time. Service has been nice, food is good with plenty of options, not all just standard bar fare, etc. I was in for the Broncos game and it was packed with clearly lots of regulars so I felt lucky have snagged a seat. The atmosphere was fun, they had plenty of well marked TVs, and I never felt neglected on service.

Went here with friends after a DU game. It was our only option because the other place we were going to go to had already closed their kitchen. I had been to the Tavern in Littleton so I assumed it would be good since that one was good. Our friends ordered lettuce wraps and after the first bite they said they were the worst lettuce wraps they had ever had. The lettuce was warm and soggy. I ordered the buffalo chicken pizza. There was NO buffalo sauce on it it tasted more like pico de gallo chicken pizza. It was awful. Will not be returning here. Oh and my friend ordered a mojito and the mint they put in her drink was rotted it was so nasty.

Came to this restaurant to watch the Broncos v Packers and also to watch the last game of the World Series. My buddy brought it up on Unilocal and we drove over to give it a shot. We found parking right away around the corner of the restaurant. It’s a nice street and maintained very well. When we walked in we were greeted very quickly by the hostess. She tried to put 8 of us in a round table. Another waitress came and asked if we wanted to switch. We did do that. They took us to the back area. It’s good for watching games. It could use a nicer floor and some decoration though. Inside, the restaurant was pretty nice and so was the bathroom. It had a tv inside of it. Waitress was really nice and fast the whole night. We enjoyed our visit here. Would come again.

I really have no idea why we keep coming here! Other than the fact that they have all the games we want on… Everything else is horrible! Service is meh and food is not good.

Imagine with me, if you will, calling a day ahead for date night reservations with your best girl. The Tavern has generously placed our reservation outside in the balmy 40 degree fall air. They weren’t kind enough to provide heaters out there, but fortunately we were sitting next to the vent for the bathroom. So warm farts were gently tousling our hair while our food was served a shade cooler than lukewarm. I mean every word of what I’m about to say… just go to Applebee’s. At least they’re not living under the false pretense that their food is quality and atmosphere invigorating.

Called 24 hours in advance for reservations. Upon arrival, they escorted us to the back patio where the following was going on: 1) strong smell of feces 2) no heat(low today was 41 It was almost as if their only forced air was piped straight from the toilets.

Went for Sunday game day– though I’m not a Bronco fan, I felt at home… Lots of games on TV and lots of different jerseys and happy people. Great Bloody Mary bar! Loved it. Food is standard– not exceptional– but good and the service was amazing– even on a really busy Bronco game day. Our server Austin was on top of his game. Always there for water refills, drinks or shots when needed. He was great and fun. My husband and I had a great time and felt very welcome/comfortable. It’s much more«local bar» then the other taverns around Denver. Will be going back for brunch again!

I came here on a Saturday night during the Colorado V Colorado St game. I decided on the very refreshing Moscow mule, my go to drink as of late. The waiter was prompt and the outdoor bar/patio gives the place a great ambiance, especially the streaming lights laced along the fence and trees. Perfect weather too(coming from a native Houstonian)!!!

Yep, defiantly won’t be coming back here. I frequented uptown, downtown and wash park tavern in my heydays, but my recent visit to this location has made me not want to visit anymore. Came with my friend on a Monday night right before happy hour ended, around 645PM. We both ordered happy hour wine and dinner. The dinner was ok, I think the food overall has gone down hill in the past years, quality and portions. Fast forward to the bill, we asked for it at 730PM, thinking we would get our other glass of wine, which was not served, so then we thought she split the glasses between us which was not the case. I asked our server why we didn’t receive another glass and she told me, «We can only serve happy hour glasses during the happy hour time, I can give you a token to use the next time you’re here during happy hour and you can use it.» Hmmmm… Yes, let me keep that token with me and when I’m back here next time, hopefully during happy hour I’ll remember to bring that with me. I would have been ok with her explaining that when we ordered this was how the happy hour worked, years ago servers would either serve 2 drinks at a time or tell you the policy but I guess she assumed we knew it. Ummmm…No. I thankful declined and told myself never to go back to any Tavern again.

The food here is amazing. Their fish and chips have been poking my cravings portion of my brain for days now. The place is clean, all of our food was great, and the location was easy to walk too. The service was meh, but i think it was a singular incident. I’m definitely looking forward to returning to this restaurant.

I LOVE this place! They have an awesome happy hour, super service, and a wonderful patio that is wolf-friendly! I came here with some of my friends — I ordered a Manhattan(have never had one before, and did not like it — wasn’t anything they did wrong, it was just very strong). Had a moscow mule instead — and it was so good! We had a great server — Red was his name I think — he was very friendly and told us about all the specials the Tavern has(Ladies night on Thursday!). It was a really great experience and I WILL be back!

I love the Tavern. I would say this is the bar in my ‘hood I frequent the most often due to the proximity to my work/home. I came here a couple times the past two weeks to catch some March Madness games and was reminded of how much I love The Tavern. I enjoy The Tavern because it is always the perfect level of busyness. I have never been here when it is jammed. Tables are typically always full except for one or two. There is always a buzz around the bar. It is just what I look for in a bar. Not too busy, not empty, good beer selection, solid happy hour deals, great appetizers. For March Madness, they were having some great happy hour deals on Colorado beers, as well as food. Speaking of food, I love the food I have had from The Tavern. Let’s talk about the queso in particular. If you know me at all, you know queso is my favorite food. The Tavern makes my queso loving heart melt. They have some pretty solid queso… Think queso fundido not cheese dip though. We actually ordered two last week when I was here because one just wasn’t enough. They also have amazing nachos. These aren’t your typical nachos. There are like 6 chips and each chip is individually topped with the perfect amount of nacho toppings. So, each chip is your quintessential nacho. Unfortunately, I really can only vouche for the nachos and queso here. My eyes(and belly) don’t see past those two things on the appetizer menu. Overall, 4 stars based on food, beer, and atmosphere.

This is a more local version of The Tavern than I am used too, but this area was in dire need of another bar that is open til 2AM! It’s very laid back, and has a very small town feel to it. There are lots of TVs, and I usually go here because they have subscriptions to all the sports networks(including NHL: D) Their burgers are delicious. Giant thumbs up to that! And last time I was here we also got the spicy calamari appetizer… OMG it was to die for. They also have a full bar, with quite a few taps! If you can’t get a hold of me on Friday or Saturday night it’s probably because I’m at The Tavern Wash Park screaming my head off cheering on the AVS!

I like this place. It has a cozy neighborhood feeling and the bartenders are friendly and nice to have a chat with. Food is pretty decent for comfort/pub style fare. We just had a real nice waiter tonight on the(heated!) patio. Just be warned: do not order the chocolate chip ice cream sandwich. They need to go back to the drawing board! It was completely rock solid and we couldn’t even saw through it with a steak knife. Not a pleasant culinary experience! The fish tacos are a great pick tho :)

The Tavern Wash Park is a part of «The Tavern» chain in Denver. I believe there are 8 of them. They have a fun atmosphere and a good menu. For me the best way to describe the chain is that it is a step up from Applebee’s, Ruby Tuesday’s etc… but does quite hit the level of Houston’s or J Alexander. Probably more in line with Wynkoop. Good food… but not great. Fun atmosphere and a good place to go with a group.

I liked this establishment a lot. It is in a great location in Wash Park on a street with lots of neat boutiques and eateries. We were there on a Sunday, and they had a bloody mary bar, they had TVs tagged with which NFL games would be down on a given TV so you knew where to sit, but it wasn’t a sport bar — more of a neighborhood pub. The service was great, we sat outside and had a lot of fun chatting up the other tables, everyone here was super friendly and the service was great. The patio is really nice and a great place to hang out. I want to give these guys a shout out — I had left my Rock and Roll Marathon bag on the back of my chair(had so much fun I got careless) and I called and they found it and held it for me. They genuinely cared that I get it back… and I appreciate them for it!!!

Can someone please explain to me why this place has gone downhill within the last 6 months?! I gave this place a solid great review on 6÷12÷2013 but a lot has apparently happened there to drag this place into the 3rd level of hellacious customer service. Over 6 months ago, they had several female servers who were absolutely the kindest, most responsive servers ever. They literally shined with customer service skills and I tipped them well over 20% on multiple occasions because they were great. For some reason, none of them are working there anymore. I recall a time about 3 months ago when the regular bussers were having to fill in as servers. The food was cold, beverages were late, refills hardly happened and those guys were working their butts off. It was clear they needed help so I tipped them well above 20% because they were working so hard. However, I visited on Nov. 9th for lunch. I sat on the patio and I have to tell you, the server was absolutely awful. Somehow it took us a solid hour to get our order which was basically an egg and ham croissant. Not to mention, the tables around us ordered about 15 minutes after my table did and were also served way before us. I watched the server refill and refill and refill the beverages of other tables for about 20 minutes before she even glanced in the direction of my table to take our order to begin with. Ok, so we were not drinking alcohol. Great customer service ought to be rendered to ALL patrons and not just to those drinking alcohol. Here’s the deal… if there’s an issue with the kitchen being backed up, ok… just TELLYOURPATRONS so you can at least stay in communication with them. If you’re short handed, if you’re a new server, if your cat just died… just say something and I’ll understand. However, if you ignore us, we get pissed and will leave you a very small tip. Pretty simple. I do not come to the Wash Park Tavern(where I’ve been many, many, many times) to be ignored and charged for it. Needless to say, I was late to my next engagement which was down in the Springs. I gave myself more than enough time to dine and drive to the Springs. Now, if the server thought, I would not tip well because I was not drinking alcohol, then she got what she expected… very little tip. However, please do not judge that I will not tip you above 20% when I’m not drinking alcohol. Poor customer service earns you a poor tip. Period. This treatment of patrons is inexcusable. Is it a management issue? I have no idea. Is it a training issue? I have no idea. Wash Park Tavern, clean up your act guys. Seriously. You’re lack of customer service is taking my business elsewhere.

Casual atmosphere, good sandwiches, great specialty cocktails. Date of Visit: 4÷26÷14 Our group’s order consisted of the Croissant Club, Buffalo Burger, and Chicken Enchiladas. All were above-average quality, and good portions for the price. The outdoor seating was is perfect for people watching, as the area is quite lively and a nice place to spend some time. The specialty cocktails are also very good; we tried the Black & Blue Mule and Ruby Mules, and were happy to have done so.
