I’m starting to find an obsessed with Pearl Street. Everything is adorable, genuine and just plain delicious. My family and I ventured here to celebrate my dad’s birthday and all fell in love with this gem! I’d head nothing but good things from others that have dined here, so when my sister made reservations, I couldn’t say no. The place is small and adorable. The staff is so nice and friendly. The food is delicious. What more is there to say? Everything here was perfect and delicious, down to the two bottles of wine, meat and cheese plates and entrees. MMMMM! This place is perfect for happy hour, a date night out, or just to sample their seasonal menu! :)

There is just not enough good things to say about this place. The owner, staff, service. My 75 yr old father on his birthday said it best. Simply the best pork chop, he’s has ever had. Thank you for many good meals and wine. Great Job!

My husband and I came here for our anniversary for dessert and an after-dinner drink. We had dinner down the street at Black Pearl and it was a major disappointment and waste of money. We went to Village Cork after and it saved our night. We had a great server and a terrific dessert wine and fabulous desserts. We told our server about our poor dinner at Black Pearl and he then gave us a complementary drink to make make up our anniversary night. The drinks were great, the desserts were beyond yummy, and the service was excellent. I live on Pearl St and will continue to come back to Village Cork!

The Village Cork is my and my wife’s go-to spot for date night. We eat there fairly regularly and always have an excellent experience. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and the ambiance can’t be beat. The wine list is always changing and we’re never disappointed with the selection. The real star of the show is the head chef, Caleb. His seasonal menu showcases his commitment to high quality(often organic) local ingredients and his passion for food. Caleb doesn’t shy away from his roots, often incorporating flavors from the American South into many of the French-inspired plates. If he has it on the menu, don’t miss his hot chicken. Also, don’t make the mistake of passing on dessert — Caleb is also an excellent pastry chef! Ask your waiter if he/she can bring him over for a quick chat so he can tell you about the menu and what he recommends that evening. I’d give The Village Cork 4.5 stars if possible. It’s a wonderful neighborhood spot operated by great people.

Loved this cozy spot. We sat at the back bar and got to watch the chefs do their magic. Their plating sold me on their scallop special. Of course, fabulous wine, as well. Definitely looking forward to going back. A great date night.

Such a cute little spot. Perfect for a first date or maybe happy hour. We happened to have the pleasure of having brunch here for Valentine’s Day! Our server(like always) was so sweet and attentive. The drinks were fun and creative. The food… A huge miss. My biscuit was so salty I couldn’t even finish my meal(biscuits and gravy) or enjoy it, my boyfriends plate was good but lacked size. For the price you would hope you would leave full… Not the case. Other then the food village cork totally hits all the notes for a cute wine bar. Food was just lacking, for the price.

I LOVE this place! Super friendly staff and great wine! My favorite is the pink bubbles. Can’t beat the atmosphere and the food is delicious! I have a nut allergy and they are so accommodating every time I order anything, whether it is a cheese board or an entrée. Definitely recommend this place!

Finally made it to Village Cork since it reopened. We came for happy hour and the wine selection was great. Can’t always find that for happy hour. We shared an appetizer and salad, and both were fantastic. While we didn’t order much on the menu, we were happy to see several vegetarian options. Our server was helpful and very good service. We will be back.

We met another couple at the VC for the Valentine’s brunch and we loved it!!! I am so glad they have started brunch at the VC. It’s such a quaint and lovely place to relax and enjoy good friends, great wine and amazing food. The biscuits and gravy were delicious, the potatoes on each dish were perfectly done and dressed with seasoning. We shared the hard boiled egg app with fried oysters, but I had a hard time sharing they were so good. I could have licked the remoulade off of the plate. Can’t wait to try the kale and mushroom omelette, and the Apple bread pudding French toast!

I just went to The Village Cork for the second time — and while I love both the venue and location, the quality of food left much to be desired. I ordered a pasta special that ranked among the most overpriced meals I’ve had in Denver. Perhaps I was frustrated because the server forgot to mention what was on it(an egg on noodles — who forgets to say there was an egg), but even so, the dish was small and the cost was high. The ambiance is cool and the wine list was pretty good, but I’m not sure I’d go back for anything beyond wine and an appetizer.

VILLAGECORKISAWESOME! It is the kind of a wine bar that you feel like you need your passport to enter. French Jazz fills the spaces, little candles flicker, sparkly glasses catch the light. You have arrived! I am a big, big fan. It has been really fun watching this little establishment open(was it in 2001, 2002?) from a teeny little wine shop on a then obscure corner… and evolve into a wonderful Parisian Bistro! Fabulous! Go Lisa. I really appreciated on my last visit that they just let us sit and drink a couple glasses of wine and chat for 2 hours. Gotta be a girl sometimes. Sometimes I feel so pressured in other establishments to order order order or leave… Eating and paying for more than you want– not so in the charming Village cork! They just let us sip our wine and kept our water glasses full. just like they would in France. The food, on the other hand is really wonderful when you are in the mood. The charcuterie and cheese plates are perfect sophisticated companions to the wonderful selection of wines by the glass and by the bottle. The entrees are ever changing but always filling and delicious. So grab your man-bag, red lipstick and your beret. Come on out, have some wine and some bites! Very romantic…

Village Cork has a great ambiance, and the servers were super friendly and helpful. For being a wine bar, their wine list is not very extensive — and the bottle choices are mostly greater than $ 60(a few exceptions). Additionally, their dinner menu is rather limited — only one salad option. However, the food that we ordered(brie, salad, steak, salmon) was quite delicious. Dessert options were pretty dismal so we went ahead and skipped that. To sum up, portions are small, servers are good, and wine is overpriced. I would consider coming back during a happy hour and only for appetizers, because getting a deal is the only way it would be worth it.

What a gem this place is! Food: basically, to-die-for Service: Top-knotch… Knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating and gave us our space when we wanted it Price: Very reasonable for what you are getting! In fact, I had no issue spending what I did… because I left actually feeling full and not hungry like oh so many other places I’ve dined with. Quality: The food quality is impeccable! The brie appetizer with baked garlic was the best I’ve ever had and the salmon portion size I received was normal(as opposed to other places where its the size of half a dollar bill for $ 40 and you’re like, «um where’s the fish?!») Environment: Very cozy and warm feeling… even when sitting right at the windows, it was comfortable, warm, inviting and lovely. Feedback: Hard to find anything negative to say. I will give accolades to the chef who has completely mastered the ability to grill steak to medium rare! My partner who ordered the steak, is not a fan of medium rare… However, when he tasted it, he nearly leapt for joy because it was sooooo flavorful! Med. Rare… the only way to fly. Extra Comments: The flavors of each bite were delicious and worth savoring! The combinations of ingredients were intriguing yet complimentary. Eh, more than complimentary, they were pretty fantastic! I was so, so pleased with my experience there! I will be back!

I’d probably give it 2.5 stars. It’s very cute and cozy inside. Their service was a bit lacking. When we came here it was pretty slow, and so was the service. Water not refilled for quite some time. Food was just okay. Nothing stood out in my opinion. Ribs weren’t great and came out cold. Fried chicken was decent. They absolutely won’t split checks. They claim it’s because of their Aloha computer system but I know that system and it does allow for it. Strange they wouldn’t take the small extra effort to make the total experience effortless for a large group willing to spend quite a bit of money.

We have enjoyed many a memorable meal at the Village Cork, with delicious, local, fresh ingredients and simple, honest preparations. Savory meals with fresh herbs and vegetables, palisade peaches, and pungent herbs haunt my memories of this place. Sadly, every visit since their recent remodel has been lacking. Perhaps they became overly ambitious with the size of their restaurant, but it seems every time we have been here in the last year, the service is worn thin and the kitchen is suffering. Even when they aren’t full(such as at 7:30 on a Friday… worrisome already), the kitchen seems slow to catch up, the servers hustling between tables but always still behind. Our melted Brie appetizer(usually a hit) seems to have shrunk in size. A small and sad hunk of Brie takes the place of what used to be a generous wedge. The apples that used to come with the appetizer now sadly gone, leaving the plate naked. Upon inquiring after the apples, I was told they didn’t have any… This during the peak of apple season? So much for fresh and seasonal. The watermelon brûlée, while tasty, was very small for the price… A less than 1″ wedge of a(personal sized) watermelon, with a small arugula salad atop, for $ 11. Pretty incredible markup there. Generally, we will enjoy the food, but the quality, service, and vibe of this restaurant are suffering. Management would be wise to lower the price and increase the portion to accommodate the family friendly, laid-back neighborhood.

Very cute, cozy décor inside. Average noise level. Street parking. Happy hour deals. I came for happy hour and was pleasantly surprised that their happy hour prices were good and they offered both wine and food deals. The server was friendly and prompt and was happy to offer wine suggestions(since I couldn’t pronounce half the options: D). I took a peek at their non-happy hour prices and they seemed a little high in general but on-par for Pearl Street. I’ll certainly go back, but likely only for happy hour.

Terrific neighborhood restaurant. Excellent charcuterie plate, a really nice bibb, endive, and beet salad, and everyone enjoyed their entrees, chicken with lentils, which looked to be juicy but with a crispy skin, a formidable pork chop in a lovely jus, and my sole, which was outstanding, with grapefruit and fennel creating a delicate platform for the perfectly cooked fish. I’ll be back and recommend it.

PLEASERE-OPEN!!! We this place. The owner, Lisa has decorated really well and has mad cooking skills. Justin, who runs the bar is beyond great. His customer service is so top notch it’s hard to go anywhere else!!! I guess they are doing a remodel right now. I can’t imagine it being any better but I think they’re making their kitchen larger… it’s located in the middle and super cool and fun to watch the chefs do their magic. If you are looking for a cozy, romantic, spectacular foodie place — this is it!!! MUAH! Kelly and Chris

The Village Cork is a fun wine bar. It’s quiet, dimly lit and it’s easy to find. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, and seem to know instinctively if you want to interact or want to be left alone with whomever you are with. The food is made right in the open behind the bar, so if you’re sitting there you’ll get treated to watching some culinary creativity. And the food is good. I’ve always stuck to tapas, but you can get bigger dishes as well. The wines are of course the main draw, and while overall it’s a bit more expensive than a standard bar, it’s not unreasonable, and you can find great wines for the price you’re looking for. This is one of my favorite spots, I’ve never had a bad experience here and don’t have anything negative critiques. Cheers! P. S. try the brie

It’s great to find a quaint, corner wine place when you are looking to unwind and have a nice atmosphere(without TV’s!!). The moment I walked in I felt like this was exactly the type of place I was looking for. There are a number of tables in the front or you could sit at the bar or in the back. The walls all were decorated with cork, which also functions to insulate against cold and noise. That definitely added something to the feel of this place. I was greeted immediately and the service was very good from that point forward. I felt for a second like I was LA looking at the wine prices. I know that the types of wine I ordered were excellent so I suppose they were justified. I also had the cheese plate, which had a nice variety of cheeses and perfect for the night. I had arrived there a bit earlier but by 7:30−8PM it had completely filled up. I liked that the noise level was a bit elevated because I hate when places like this get too quiet. Everyone in the place seemed to be having a great time as I overheard some good conversations and laughter! This is the perfect place to meet out friends or go on a date… I would definitely recommend it!
