So glad I discovered this popcorn store. The flavors are unique and creative. Dill pickle is my favorite savory flavor and Rocky Road is my favorite sweet. But the special«Denver Style» — caramel and white cheddar — is a close 2nd! Whatever Pops Up is a Denver treasure you must try for yourself. Friendly place with nice people and delicious popcorn!!!

This place is my go to for gifts or out-of-towners! The popcorn is so fresh and so flavorful. They have seasonal flavors too, which never disappoint. The jalapeño cheddar is my favorite. Customer service is always spot on and dogs are welcome:) this business is in my top 5 places to take people. A must do in Denver!

I stopped in here when I was in Denver for a business trip awhile ago and just remember to do the review when I ordered some more. I got«The Elvis,» it’s peanut butter and banana and its so damn good it just might have been what killed him. I’ve had dozens of flavors and the only one I wouldn’t give a 100 point rating too was the bourbon flavored one but, then again, I don’t like bourbon and I’d still give it a 90. i also discovered they ship so it’s now my go to thank you present for business purposes.

Yum! The ghost pepper chedder, salty caramel, caramel macchiato, and coconut macaroon are all delicious! I really wanted to try the dill pickle and salt and vinegar, but felt bad about asking for more samples. This little underground shop off Larimer Square is definitely worth a visit if you are a popcorn afficionado like myself! Friendly owner and reasonably priced gourmet popcorns!

The Owner has now changed the description of the amount of product in large bags VS a pail. When I shopped the description was large bag 13 cups popcorn and a pail was described as one gallon. Now it reads they are both described as about one gallon. I would not have ordered a pail at 27.00VS a large bag at 17.00 if they both contain about the same amount. The bags are vacuum packed and sealed. The pail is a pliable thin plastic and the lid just sits on the lip of the opening, not sealed not vacuum packed. Don’t waste 10.00 on the pail. The popcorn is expensive enough. After being mad at this owner for having treated me the way she did, I decided to go look to see how much other people were charging for popcorn. I found other gourmet flavored popcorn shops with similar varieties at lower cost. But then the shipping prices were clear as to how much you are paying for shipping, at the price of the service selected. It was much clearer as to Price for Popcorn VS containers VS shipping. Please read the first review, as it will be clear why I scored this shop low. Customer Service, Customer Service, Customer Service.

Yummy popcorn with a lot of intriguing flavors! The lady working there was so friendly and gave us lots of samples, so we could order what we really liked. The ghost pepper popcorn was… hot. I’d love to see a mix of caramel popcorn, cheese and just like 10% of the ghost pepper for some spicy, salty, sweet. It would be a winner! We ended up taking away the cheese and caramel mix which was delicious and devoured rapidly. Have I had better popcorn? Yes. Is it still really great? Definitely! I hope the shop grows so that down the road there will be large enough turnover that you can create your own bags and mixes. At the moment, you can’t. But there’s so much to choose from that I’m sure you’ll love it anyways!

Whatever Pop Ups is a gourmet popcorn shop hidden inside Larimer Square. The owner was super friendly and she is more than happy for you to try any of her available flavors. I got to try a good number and ended up buying the Denver Mix(White Cheddar & Salty Caramel) and PB&J. The Denver Mix was especially delish! Expect to pay about $ 7 – 9 per bag of popcorn.

I love this place. I love this place so much I ordered $ 45 worth of popcorn to be delivered to my home in Chicago. You won’t be disappointed in the rocky road or buffalo and blue cheese popcorn. I’ve also tried the peanut butter and chocolate, but the others remain my favorite. I came here on a trip to Denver and the service was so nice, and the product is obviously great. Sadly, all of my popcorn is gone. Maybe it’s time to restock!

This is a great local popcorn establishment, which seem to be «popping» up all over the place! The owner and sole employee of the business is very nice, and let my wife and I sample as much of the popcorn as we wanted. I ended up getting the special at the time, which was basically a double chocolate flavor(drizzled in chocolate and dipped in chocolate). I took it to the Rockies game and snacked on that(at a much more reasonable price than buying food at the game). It was delicious!

Best popcorn I’ve ever tried. We were allowed to sample as many kinds of popcorn as we wanted. There are about 25 different flavors, many of which I have never encountered before. I recommend the buffalo blue cheese and red cherry. Prices are fair; $ 5 a bag but when we were there, you can get 1 free if you buy 3.

If you’re reading this and considering going to Whatever Pops Up — DOIT. I don’t know what’s not to love about this charming little store. The location is a bit hidden, but in my mind it makes the delicious popcorn they pop feel like a secret I can’t wait to share with all my friends. I’ve been in twice now and both times the owner was extremely friendly and let us sample as many flavors as we wanted– she even encouraged us to mix and match and shared some of her favorite flavor combos with us. This isn’t a movie theater– so maybe you won’t find plain buttered popcorn. Who cares? The flavors they had were all MUCH more fun and trying each one was a unique and flavor filled experience. We sampled PB&J, salted caramel, cupcake, banana walnut, dill pickle, and a couple others. Even though some of them seemed more like«novelty» flavors I could have easily eaten a bag of any of them– they were all delicious. We paid $ 10 for two of the small bags(which were actually pretty generous«smalls»). The popcorn was fresh, gourmet, original, and downright tasty so I honestly don’t think it was overpriced at all. My roommate and I are already planning our next foray so we can sample more of the flavors.(confession-we came home and accidentally ate almost the entire bag of salted caramel popcorn we bought). TLDR: AMAZING– DON’T MISSTHISHIDDENGEM.

we were walking around and noticed little shops downstairs. it’s like in a shopping arcade. a very small store with many creative popcorn flavors made there. bought almost all the flavors that we tried… haha. you can taste any flavor. habanero cupcake dill pickle chipotle green apple i think the cupcake popcorn was the most unique out of them all. it’s 3 bags for $ 15. made for good souvenirs to bring back home.

Popcorn aficionado here. Walked a mile in order to try this popcorn(the toddler had been begging for pah-cahn!) only to find the establishment closed with a sign that said«Sorry! Be back soon!» What? Not even a time you’ll be back? Ugh. Walked all over Denver and came back later(without being guaranteed she would be back or that the place was even open as it was 5:15 — there are no hours listed on Unilocal, their website, or on their voicemail) but she was there when we got back. We tried several flavors: I enjoyed the cupcake — white chocolate with cake mix — the partner enjoyed the banana walnut flavor. We also tried hot cinnamon, blueberry, parmesan garlic, and salted caramel(the most popular flavor). I then asked for just plain butter or salt. «We don’t carry that.» Um excuse me? The basis for all of your flavors and you don’t CARRY it? That’s like ice cream parlors not carrying vanilla and chocolate. You just don’t skip the classics. I reluctantly bought banana walnut for the man and salted caramel for the baby and me and left disappointed, planning to make my own popcorn at home. The small bags were each five dollars and they had a special for buy three get one free. I thought their prices were a little steep, ESPECIALLY for not carrying butter… I’m still in shock lol. If I find myself in town again I’ll hop in the car and drive to Doc Popcorn. Rumor has it they have buttered popcorn.

This little popcorn shop had just opened when I saw the sign in Larimer Square advertising it. It is downstairs with other little shops. The walls are a bright turquoise, with rich green stripes, I promise you can’t miss it. There were three flavors to sample when I stopped in: salted caramel, habanero, and ranch. I really liked the caramel(I bought a small bag to take on the plane… Lets just say it barely made it that far. Don’t judge). This flavor is more than just your normal caramel corn, there most definitely is some salt in there. They have cute buckets(3for $ 15) and can personalize the labels, too.
