As someone that used to work here(long time ago) I would advise you stay the hell away from this place. I’ve seen cooks drops fish on the floor when bringing it out of thaw, pick it up, cook it, and serve it to(overpaying) customers. Not only that they don’t always use Cod for their fish, at times they will use Pollock or some other inferior alternative to Cod. The place is an absolute dive and I wouldn’t trust anything served to me. You’re better off sticking to G&B’s or finding an actual restaurant that serves real fish and chips.

Wow! We’ve been going here for years… best fish and chips, and clam strips there is… period! I’ve had fish and chips all over the US and England, Yorkshire Fish & Chips beats all of them!

Finally found great seafood in Denver at Yorkshire! I had a half order of oysters that were each the size of my fist. Took home clam strips and fish for dinner that were equally delectable. Not a French fry fan so subbed green beans and cole slaw. Ample petite well seasoned green beans. Inside looks like a LJS but that’s the ONLY similarity. If you’re looking for fancy go somewhere else. If you are looking for great fresh fried seafood this is the place.

Pretty good. Huge fish sticks that tasted pretty good. After seeing most people say that their«chips» are subpar I went with the Cole slaw and was pleasantly surprised by it. Awesome tartar sauce as well. The mushrooms are awesome! Only downside was that it’s expensive and greasy.

Excellent fish and chips. I heard this place has been around for about 45 years. This will be a destination ever time we are in Denver. YUM! THANKS…

I have been coming here for over 25 years! The staff is amazing and the food is great! The clam chowder is so crave-able that you will drive hours. The serving sizes are plentiful you never know what to get, thankfully they have a sampler in full and half orders. This place also has a cameo in The Bad Engrish«fish n chips» video. We want fish and chips!

Good fried fish and friendly staff. Not much selection and the atmosphere is not so good. Good fried food but greasy fried food.

My dad used to bring me here all the time as a child. I will continue coming here as long as they stay clean and in business.

Solid fish and chips however for what they lack in flavor they make up for in oil. Very greasy but I suppose that is expected with fish and chips. The place is a definite dive. The service has never been friendly here and kind of pricey for what you get. They are definitely doing something right though. They have been around for a long time and have lots of happy customers.

I was expecting a pub sort of ambiance, but what we actually got was worse than Long John Silvers. The prices charged were equivalent to those of a «real» restaurant, but the food provided was simply deep fried and without flare, the place was a hole in the wall, and the staff were all rude and without concern for the patrons. Even with a 10% coupon, I felt we way overpaid and it wasn’t worth our time.

Came here to eat for the 1st time with the hubby and we were disappointed. We had the combo platter which was $ 16.00 for 3 jumpo shrimp, 5 scallops and 1 big piece of cod fish. We told the cashier it was our 1st time in and he didnt really seem to care. It wss $ 21.11 for 1 combo platter and 2 drinks. A little pricey for what we received. Everything extra greasy like everyone has said. Scallops were good, but was not a big fan of the cod. Not for my taste atleast. Seemed like a nice place with great reviews but in the end not our style.

A decent place to grab some fish. Better than other fast food fish places. but it doesn’t stand out for fish in the center of a landmass. The interior is like Davy Jones closet. Tartar sauce.

Happened to run into this place while needing lunch before a long day of furniture shopping. Best Fish and Chips EVER(apparently just like overseas according to the significant other) If you’re not crazy hungry just order 1 – 2 pieces, unless you want massive leftovers, the pieces of fish are enormous, they don’t skimp on the chips either, delicious tarter sauce even! I live clear across town and would drive here just to feed a craving for fish and chips. Yummy! 4 stars only bc it’s a little pricey, will definitely go back though for sure! I was so excited I sent the pic of the front to retrieve and family telling them how stoning delicious it was!

You’re definitely not here to eat atmosphere, you’re here for some delicious, greasy-ass fish and chips, and you’re gonna smell like it when you leave! I think my friend and I were the only two girls in there(maybe the rest are eating salads?), and it was definitely a clientele of folks looking for a huge, hearty meal. It’s good as long as you know what you’re getting into, an entire fried meal, duh. It just isn’t one that I would go, «HEY! LET’S GOTOYORKSHIREFISH&CHIPS!!!» on a regular basis. My friend(the fish-and-chip fan) and I split two sticks of fish with fries and some fried mushrooms. She enjoyed the fish, which are massive 5 – 6 oz sticks of fish. Batter is a little heavy, but still good for being a deep fried log of fish. Fries are meh– edible when hot, undesirable when cold. We also got the mushrooms everyone recommended, which were tasty. They were nice button mushrooms with some sort of a light sauce coating on the inside. Probably my favorite part of lunch. The guy working at the counter was so unbelievably nice to everyone with such great service that I wonder why he isn’t working somewhere bigger and better. Food, as you can imagine, arrives quickly. I don’t know if the price tag quite matches the experience, but if you are a fish and chip lover, it’s worth finding out yourself.

My man has been talking about this place for a looooong time & we finally went in this past weekend. I absolutely had to get the mushrooms because of all the reviews(& because I knew I’d have them all to myself… he’s not a fan of mushrooms). I tried them first with the ranch they provided. That was a mistake… the ranch was very peppery & just not what I was looking for. But the mushrooms by themselves were fabulous. Very crunchy, well flavored exterior gives way to juicy deliciousness inside. Then it was time for the fish. These look more like massive fishsticks than filets but they all have PLENTY of quality fish inside. Pair them with a splash of vinegar & a dab of slightly sweet tarter sauce, and you’re in business. The fries were good though I guess I prefer the steak cut with my fish… These soak up the vinegar with no problem though & paired very well with everything. It won’t be a frequent stop(I felt a bit gnarly about eating a fully«brown meal»… no health food here, but that’s obviously not expected) but it’s on my short junk food list for sure.

First off I am from New England and believe me… my diet is very seafood centric when I am at home. That being said, the seafood that I miss the most when I am living here in Colorado is clam strips. I came to the restaurant with clams on my mind and that is what I ordered. My partner had the fish and chips. I didn’t think the fries were fantastic. The clam strips were really good… but I would have to say that the fish and the tartar sauce were REALLY good. I can’t say that the strips were quite comparable to those that I get in CT, but they are a worthy stand-in for when I have a craving. However the fish and tartar are the real reasons to have a meal here.
