CLOSED as of 1÷20÷15. It was decent the one time I went there, but apparently they didn’t pay their taxes and the place got seized.

They have a good lunch special…$ 8 for chips and salsa(the salsa is very good!), two tacos, rice and beans. The food is pretty good but nothing stellar. I’ve been here twice and both times the service was very slow despite the place being pretty empty.

So, I think this place is bomb. My wife however, cries when I take her here. I LOVE you the habanero hell fire sauce. Amazing. I usually get the combo plate so I can try a little of everything. I think this place is great. I really want to eat this everyday. Breakfast burritos are pretty good. Fast. Ready to go. So. All in all. 4 stars. Preety goo Great service by the way

Ordered an appetizer and margaritas. They were both horrible. Chicken taquitos out of a box and in the microwave are better than these Luke warm taquitos. No real tequila and incapable of making a skinny margarita due to limited mixers and no options.

I love this place!!! Tabitha was our server and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and service! The margaritas… amazing! We get the tacos everytime we come, the prices are great too for the quality!

Started with an original margarita, it was pretty good, not amazing but I’d order one again. The taco of the month, fish taco, was very good and stuffed full. I also tried the taco with Mac and cheese and sausage. Not bad but really should use a better Mac and cheese than a box of Kraft. The beans were flavored well. Rice was fine but I really don’t care for Spanish rice anyways. The salsa was very good, perfect heat for me. The best part was the chili sauce on my tacos, it’s was great. Service was slow but we weren’t in a hurry and they acknowledged they were slow and didn’t charge is for our drinks. Price was good, about $ 10 for two very stuffed tacos, rice and beans with chips and salsa. I’m not sure I would go out of my way to go back but I would stop again if I was in the neighborhood.

It appears they have increased prices twice since they opened. The problem is the price has outstripped the value and the taste. Sorry, but a smothered, vegetarian burrito is not worth $ 11. Tacos are good, yet overpriced even on Taco Tuesday. Based upon seeing this trend over 8 visits, we are not going back.

Ever felt like you had better get your review in because the place might not be open for too much longer? The food here is ok, forgettable, uninspired, also-ran. The service was adequate. There weren’t maybe people there for lunch, prime time on a Wed. The queso was questionable(my friend wondered aloud ‘velveeta?’). There are so many better choices that this review is over.

Honestly, we were so surprised. We thought it was going to suck but ordered food anyways. Salmon tacos=amazing. The service is spectacular. And Thursday is $ 3 margaritas! And they’re fast and fresh. We are major foodies and I would typically never review a place in a strip mall but they’re shockingly good and fresh. Plus the margaritas are nom! I wouldn’t go there on a date ever but it’s definitely a good place if you’ve been with someone forever or you’re hungry for good food.

Tacky interior that reeks of a fast food joint for suburban families. Drinks are over priced. Service is bad. Food took forever, multiple times while waiting we thought about bolting. The food was surprisingly good. But the atmosphere is rancid. You might like this place if when you eat here it’s the first time you saw daylight that day.

Came here for dinner with 2 friends on a tuesday night. The décor and feeling of Zanitas is a little«cold». Everything felt a little sterile, like we were in a hospital. The décor was meh, no character and just plain blah. Besides the«feeling» I had the menu wasn’t too large, which I do enjoy because large menus seem to overwhelm me. The ordered the grilled chicken burrito and a margarita. Within less than 7 mins our food was out, which seems a little odd. The burrito was good, but had nothing special about the taste. Overall, I was left with a feeling of meh. There was nothing special about Zanitas that I would rush back for, let alone probably head back at all.

Today I was in the area and decided to give Zanita’s a try. Overall, the place is average at best. The food looked and tasted run of the mill. I ordered a burrito with carnitas, and ended up receiving the burrito with chicken. No biggie, it just seemed like someone wasn’t paying attention, despite the fact the place was empty. The décor is modern and clean, but again, same ol same ol. The server was friendly and took care of our needs promptly. Again, not sure who made the previous error on my order, so it is what it is. Overall, with all of the great restaurants that have popped up in recent years, there is no reason to go back to this place.

I have had breakfast, lunch and dinner here many many times over the past year and have never been disappointed. Love the food, so many choices! Shout out to the staff. Tabitha, Trevor and DK, and many others thanks for taking care of me!

I walked in thinking this restaurant was another fast mexican food concept, the design definitely gives off that vibe. So I was surprised when I was seated and a waiter came up to take my drink order. The menu is full of some strange taco combinations. So I opted for the tamales, one veggie and one chicken with the jalapeño sauce. I can say I did enjoy what I had ordered. Can’t go horribly wrong with tamales though. I would be a little skeptical to try other menu items. Chips and salsa were decent too. Overall it left a little to be desired, it seemed like the prices should have been a little lower I wouldn’t drive out of my way to eat here. If I happened to be in the area again and wanted mexican food I may stop, or I may just continue on my way to get«real mexican food»

Ambiance: 3 feels kinda like a fast food place. Service. 4: pretty good and relatively quick. Salsa 5: tasty and complimentary fish tacos 5: awesome! I really loved them. They were spicy due to a very flavorful chipotle sauce, grilled fish, cabbage etc. Yum! I ordered mine on flour and I was happy. My guest ordered the same dish but as it is suggested with corn tortillas. He was just as pleased as I was. I’m going back! Tacos burritos salads appetizers dessert bar margaritas simple parking right off I-25 behind Starbucks

So I had to sit down and ask myself why I gave this restaurant only three stars. All of the tacos are off. They are not tex-mex, cali-mex, or mex. Its weird and hard to pin it down, but what I can say it was unsatisfying food. I think the problem is I love good Mexican food. I consider it one, if the greatest world cuisines, almost like comfort food. The problem here is they have bastardized it, so you still get the high calories but not the happiness that it brings. Also note that the Churos are not made right. They are overcooked on the outside and under cooked on the inside as well as malformed. My recommendation is to try Machete down in Cherry Creek North, that is amazing!

I was excited to see Zanitas opening near me, even though I hand’t heard of it-I was ready for a good Mexican place with good margaritas. Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed. I came here for comes chips and dip and margaritas after work one day-I got their cheese and queso, plus their signature marg on the rocks. The chips tasted like the cheap knock off kind you get from the store. The queso wasn’t all bad, but I definitely do think it wasn’t worth the money we paid for it. The margarita was also very average, and really nothing to write home about-kind of a problem when you advertise your margaritas as one of your staples. Overall, unfortunately, I was pretty unimpressed. I likely won’t go back.

Mac n Cheese taco was a creative explosion of deliciousness! I also had the fried avocado taco which was quite good. My husband had the Z Taco and Fried Shrimp Taco; he said the fried shrimp taco was amazing! All the tacos were stuffed full of goodness in every bite. The chips and salsa side was the perfect size to share with the delicious thin crispy chips and restaurant style salsa. You can tell this is owned(or at least somehow associated) with the people who do Hacienda Colorado. Same chips and tortillas! Décor/atmosphere was a little blah, but lots of seating, clean and bright. Service was wonderful too! So different that you shouldn’t even try to compare it to Qdoba or Wahoo… its unique menu items are the reason to go! Margarita list looked amazing, will have to check it out another time as well as finish trying all the delicious/creative tacos they have– looking forward to trying the Buffalo chicken taco with blue cheese! We will absolutely be back!

I like the idea of Zanitas… fresh, urban, Mexican food and margaritas… what’s not to like? BUT… and call me old fashioned, but there’s something about serving mac and cheese, pickles, cole slaw and sausage in a burrito that kind of weirds me out… ok, reeaallllyy weirds me out. The atmosphere is slightly underwhelming, I feel like I walked into a Qdoba… it’s adequate, but probably not somewhere I want to hang out and have drinks at for an extended period of time. I will say that I tried the fried avocado taco and loved it. It was a little overrun with lettuce, but that’s just a personal preference on my part. I ordered a side of rice and beans, and loved the rice, good flavor and nice and firm. I also tried the trifecta, which is queso, salsa and guac. The guac was pretty good, but had huge chunks of avocado in there(the cook must have been in a hurry) and the salsa tasted slightly like marinara or chunky cold tomato soup… All in all, an ok place, but probably not where I’ll be hightailing it on a regular basis.
