Travelodge

This is our first time here. We are Silver Wyndham members, but traveling with our dogs, so we couldn’t stay at the condos. This is a nice motel. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfy and there is grass around outside for our pups. BUT… I was very disappointed when we got here and saw that there are trees across the street. So you cannot see the ocean very well. They do have a 3^rd floor, we are on the 2^nd, because we were told they are the dog rooms. Which is fine. But paying more and being told we had an «ocean view» room. Is just not true. I think that should be told to dog owners. We do not say on the Coast unless we can have ocean view. It’s like being at home But. It is a nice place and a very nice man runs the office. But we will not stay again.

The host seemed friendly. Went down for breakfast and it looked like they had closed up shop even though we arrived before breakfast was supposed to end. Avoid the Chinese Restaurant up the street. Some locals stole my friends purse. Room was fine.

I mad a reservation with the 800#. I asked for a roo. For THAT night. I showed up at the Travelodge just after 5pm. I aproached the desk guy ‘Scott’ and the reservations were for way later like 2 weeks later. I don’t know how tonight means two weeks but. Well they were sold. out they did have a room for $ 500 a night the owners suite. Well the entire area was sold out.
Scott was great he jumped on the phone and tried to find us a room. Well no luck. He talked to the owner and they put us up in the Owners Suite for the same price we were quoted for the original room.
The hotel was clean for a beach hotel. It was well put together. The hot breakfast included waffles, pancakes, eggs (Microwavable). Also the basic cereals muffins and English muffins. They had juices and milk. The breakfast not spectacular but it did the job and filled the belly.
Overall an really good stay changed my view on Travelodge name. And I would stay here again if I was in town
