Annie’s Consignment Corner

Went in to check out Annie’s Consignment last week and was a bit under whelmed.
Being a guy, I was hoping for more furniture, nicknacks, house hold, tools, kitchen etc.
Mostly clothes. Some men’s too but a lot of women’s.
Very friendly staff.
Not a huge store but decent.
Close to the new huge Goodwill store next door!

Went to visit a friend in Derry for catching up and a Five Guys lunch. When we left Five Guys she asked me if I wanted to try the new consignment store.
My response? «Hi, my name is Frannie, I like to shop.» Sheesh, we’ve been friends 10 years or so, you’d think the girl’d know me by now!
So off we went to Annie’s! Now the day we went was during that horrific heatwave, it was about 90 degrees outside. Thankfully, Annie’s had some nice AC blow going on.
The store is good sized and pretty well organized. I did find myself going back & forth from the dress racks on the left to the dress racks on the other side of the store. I love a dress in the summer. Turns out left is fancy dresses & right is for casual dresses. Sad for me, they only had fancy dresses in my size. Boo-​hoo.
I did end up finding some super groovy curtains that were a steal at $ 17.95 for two double wide 63″ panels with blackout lining. Also came with two shams and an extra piece of material. Weighing in at about 10 pounds, these are some heavy duty curtains.
My friend doesn’t wear dresses often but was looking because I had finally convinced her that dresses are cooler in the summer. I showed her one that she wasn’t sure about but it looked SO good on. The second dress I wasn’t sure I could convince her to try (she’s wicked picky) but she did and that one looked great too. So bottom line, she walked out with two lovely dresses for under $ 25.
The owner even told us we were fun to watch. Probably because we’re both a titch nutty. My friend had to call me over to the dressing room for help ’cause she was stuck in the dress. But hell, we are fun!
Now all’s we gotta do is make sure Annie’s sticks around.
