Mike came over from Des Moines to Seabeck and replaced a wall behind our wood stove where old tile had come off. Originally, the tile wall was mounted on Hardyboard, away from the dry wall behind it, but Mike said best to just remove the board and mount the tile directly to the wall to prevent any chance the tiles would flex and come off(which is what the first set did — after about 30 yrs!). He took down the old board quickly, and went to work. We had two sets of tiles, slightly different in size, and Mike spaced them perfectly so that the slight difference isn’t noticeable at all. The tile wall was up in about two hours one day, and he was back on time the second day to do the grouting. Everything looks great. He was a bit pricey, but coming from Des Moines, the cost made sense to have the job done quickly and professionally.
