Oh dear God. How is this place still in business?!? My wife and I WERE regulars until this fool behind the counter told me he couldn’t do a vegetarian taco minus pumpkin seeds as we have ordered a hundred times. Every cotton picking week. All he rang me up for was a beef taco salad. Unreal. Taco Time, you lost us, for good. I hope your company folds under this nonsense. Good luck in being anything more than a joke. Stay far away. I doubt the employees can wash their hands without serious intervention let alone make you a taco. Sad and pathetic.

One of the best things about Taco Time is their commitment to consistency and most of the locations are very good at keeping things very close across the board but I ran into issues when I visited this location for lunch today. For the first time ever, I had to return an item of food because it was just so poorly prepared that I did not want to eat it. When our meal was served, you could instantly tell that the mexi fries were too well done but we ate them anyway however when I took my habanero crisp chicken burrito out of the bag, it was burnt and soggy with oil. I took it to the counter and when the manager asked me if there was an issue, I told her that I wasn’t satisfied with the quality of the burrito. I also told her that I think there may be an issue with their deep fryers because of the mexi fries being so well done. She admitted that they’ve been having issues with their mexi fries but then all I get were excuses about my burrito. They all look like that. The new tortillas are red and that’s why they look burnt. They did agree to make a new burrito for me and it was better. Still a bit on the well done side of you ask me. I visit Taco Time on the regular so I am very familiar with the way the food looks when prepared correctly. My point is that I’m the customer. If I have a complaint about something, I don’t want a list of excuses. I want my issue resolved graciously. I shouldn’t have to argue my point with the manager. I love Taco Time. I’ve written in my other reviews that it is my favorite fast food Mexican restaurant. Nearly every location does business exactly like all the rest and sometimes there is a noticeable difference in service but hardly ever a difference in the quality of the food. This location today had differences with both. I’ll be making it a point not to visit this location from now on and with so many locations to choose from, that won’t be hard. Thanks for reading

Went to taco time the other day. I waiting 20 minutes in drive through. Employee who gave us are food was rude & she was complaining about having to stay late. The only reason why we go to taco time in des moines is because we like taco time franchises. Every time(i am not exaggeration) Going in or drive through always waiting 20 minutes for food. Going to other taco times throughout out my life time never took 20 minutes to get my food.

The time it takes Taco Time to microwave your food is crazy. The Drive Through is a 15 – 20 minute process. You are better of calling a local Mexican place for pick it. It will be faster.

This Taco Time has been around MANY years but they’ve remodeled since and it looks clean and open on the inside. Fast service, friendly staff, and a neat electronic beverage machine with so many choices. I was hoping for cheaper(Taco Bell) prices but that’s alright. I didn’t even know their ingredient are made fresh and grown locally! Kind of ironic being«fast-food»… Some buddies love this place and I’ll come back when I get the chance.

I really like this Taco Time. They are really fast at the drive up window, they always get our order right, they are clean inside and out and the food is fresh and pretty good for you! We will continue to eat here for sure!

Very, very good fresh food! The best place for fast food! Yes, it’s very expensive for being fast food(one soft taco is nearly five dollars), but it all tastes wonderful. Their burritos are not huge like other mexican restaurants, and either are their soft tacos, but they are filling. Their ground beef is perfect, not greasy at all. Lettuce is green and crisp. I’ve always had good experiences with their mexi nuggets, never soggy, always crisp. I only wish they would do specials. Right now the Taco Time website says that crisp beef burritos are a dollar ninety nine, but this particular restaurant does not honor the website specials, had to pay regular price(about three dollars ea). They do have that nice crushed ice that I love. I wish their hot sauces came in little packets so I can keep some in my fridge, but they only serve it fresh.

I really wish this was located a bit better. The customer service was decent, food is always great for being a fast food joint, but I still don’t understand why I keep going back there knowing that the place is an expensive fast food taco joint. I would have been better off trying to find a taco stand(which I miss from Cali) and could have fed an army.

A very clean location with a small dining room. Staff is very friendly and booths are always clean. Food is exactly what you’ve come to expect from Taco Time; delicious, and some of the best fast food you’ll find.

4 stars ONLY for a fast food restaurant. This is a favorite of mine, but only good every once in a while. Pros: –Fresh ingredients –Fast service –AMAZING crushed ice –Hot sauce and jalapenos galore! Cons: –Different locations can be sketchy Tips? –The crisp burrito kids meals are great deals. They now call them small meals. The only difference is you get less mexi fries, fill up your drink more, and can choose between a toy or crustos(I always choose the toy). –The chicken soft tacos are delicious –My favorite since I was a kid is the crisp bean burrito. Load it with their hot sauce and jalapenos and you’re set.

My boyfriend and I were driving to Olympia, and we were all like, what could be better than some Taco Time? Let me just say, it’s a good thing that this turned out to be one of the better Taco Time locations in the PNW. It was quite difficult to pull into the drive-thru lane when pulling in from the north side of the parking lot, and the queue moved a bit slowly. It seemed like we had to wait quite a while to get our food, so we just had to sit there after we paid. On the other hand, the staff was quite friendly and patient. Our tacos were well-constructed and quite delicious, it just seems like whoever constructed these tacos really cared about their taco craft. I just wish there had been a combo meal for the fish taco! I think my boyfriend got a better deal on his beef soft taco combo with mexi-fries and drink, while I had to pay more AND get my mexi-fries separately. But I really wanted that fish taco! Overall, this is a fine Taco Time. I would have to say, I probably will not come back to this location, but that’s only because it’s in Des Moines.

The people they have working there have no sense of customer service. They are rude! I recently went there with a friend to have a quick lunch. After 5 mins of standing in the lobby waiting for someone to notice us someone finally came over to us and started to take our order, but in the middle of taking our order she touches her headset and says«welcome to taco time can I take your order». WTF she just answered a drive thru call while taking our order. I have also been through the drive thru and the sound of the employees are not very friendly. Keep in mind there are millions of people that would love to have your job right now so at least have some respect for the people that pay your bills, and I am not talking about the people that sign your checks. Needless to say if I want to go to taco time I am not going to this one. The one off Sperry and 180th is much better at customer service!

Bad service! Good food of course but I will not be going there again any time soon. The kids that work there were actually pretty nice but the manager was so rude!

I don’t care what you nay-sayers say. Taco Time is the fast food of the Gods. Seriously… if you like fast food and don’t like Taco Time, there’s something wrong with you. Go pay 99 cents for some F-grade meat and cattle-only-approved shells at Taco Bell(and no, I’m not making that up). I bow to you, Taco Time.
