Awesome food, always fresh with loads of flavors. The staff is very helpful and patient when trying to order from such a unique menu. All their menu suggestions have been deliciously helpful. I have turned on my co workers to Fozzies and we get it delivered on a regular basis.

This location has been going downhill for delivery in the last couple of years. I’m tired of getting cold food, wrong orders and half hour past the time I was told for delivery. There is no point in calling and talking to the manager, since they are just kids that don’t have a clue anyhow. Tonight, I received cold food 30 min after my told time. So glad I wasted my money.

Have ordered here a few time for lunch with work and WOW, every time is a winner. All the sandwiches sound so good so I venture out and try a new one each time we order and have not been disappointed yet. So far I’ve had the Club Med and Shrimp Po’Boy. Both were huge, stuffed to the brim with fresh ingredients and delicious sauces to pair. It’s so much food I’m able to stretch it into lunch and dinner with a light side. My co-worker today was raving about his gyro so will definitely need to try that soon. Can’t wait to order there again!

Fozzie’s is good, however I am going to start off by saying that with this location there are a few things keeping it from getting a higher rating. I usually will call my order in because the inside is so small that during peak times you will have a line out the door, and all the tables full, which make waiting inside for your order a cluster. The inside is small, very small with only enough room for about six tables split down the middle with a line of people waiting to place their order. Another downside is the wait, after ordering you can wait 10 or more minutes to get your sandwich, so be prepared to stand up against the wall while waiting to avoid getting in anyone’s way. Now with all that out of the way I will say that there isn’t anything wrong with the food here. My favorite sandwich is The Pretzel, which is ham, peper jack cheese, and honey mustard served on a warm pretzel roll, it’s delicious! I have also tried the Chicken Parmesan however I was less than impressed with it, as the chicken tasted like it came out of a bag of Tyson frozen chicken tenders. I also have to admit that I love the chips here, especially the garlic parmesan, they are delicious I only wish they came in a bigger bag. Overall I was pleased with my food, however I think that there can be improvements made here to improve the overall experience.

Found this place through Grubhub when we wanted to order delivery one night and decided to try it out. My boyfriend got the Cardiac burger which he loved. I ordered the turkey club, simple but very good. The delivery took a while, but I won’t fault them for that because our apartment is notoriously hard to find. The only negative I will say is that their«regular size» milkshake is actually quite small. But otherwise, delicious food and reasonable prices!

Just try to beat it… There is NO better sandwich place in St. Louis. It’s not even fair to call it a sandwich place, It’s just as the name say’s, A SANDWICHEMPORIUM! I’m INLOVEWITHTHEJUICYLUCY! Except I get it with Gouda…

Gotta love this place! Recently ordered the Italian beef sandwich and it was absolutely fantastic. And it is absolutely smothered in «The Juice» though I know you can’t really tell from the picture. As a result it’s one of the messiest sandwich experiences I’ve ever had. But I’m not complaining! I also recently ordered the B.A.B.L.T(Big Ass BLT) and it is the best BLT I’ve ever had. A half pound of crispy bacon and what I’m told is house-made garlic mayo. The mayo steals the show here, you just have to try it. The sourdough bread is fantastic as well. I forget what it’s called, but there is a cookie/brownie looking dessert at the register. I tried the one that likes more like a cookie and was surprised by how good it is. Lots of chocolate inside! And some nuts.

Fast and friendly staff. Great exotic sandwiches and some local favorites. One of my favorite is the juicy Lucy.

This was not good — service stunk, place was dirty, the food stunk threw sandwich away. I would avoid.

Fozzie’s is a solid option for sandwiches and salads. There’s something on the menu to satisfy most tastes. There’s an occasional delivery slip up, and the service can get slow, but the quality of the food is good and it’s pretty consistent. Overall I recommend.

Gotta be honest I heard his place was very good. I didn’t get their sandwich but their steak salad. The chopped steak was subpar and the lettuce was the cheapest quality that you can buy at a grocery store(iceberg lettuce). It was overloaded with cheese and fried chickpeas. There was no taste to the salad whatsoever. I did not even finish it. My friend ordered their steak sandwich and said it wasn’t flavorful. I don’t think I will be returning to this place anytime soon. The prices are comparable to other sandwich shops in the area but the food isn’t great. The staff wasn’t very friendly either. Overall we got our food quickly hence the two star otherwise I would’ve probably give them just one star. Cheers.

I’ve been to Fozzie’s a bunch of times already and everything I ate has been stellar. Unfortunately during my last trip, I ran into a sandwich that was just ok. This time I chose the shrimp poor boy. The fried shrimp were plain… reminded me something of the van de kamp variety. And I expect a po boy to have a little kick. I ended up slathering hot sauce over it, because the sandwhich itself was just plain. Also, their house made chips are just ok. They’re plain too… next time I’ll get a different side.

Loved this place!!! Extensive menu, very basic seating. Best tasting Italian grinder I’ve found in town! Hubby loved the tender beef on the juicy cheesesteak. Perfect!

Solid sandwich shop offering delicious and well made sandwiches. We ordered a few different ones for superbowl. Really good rueban, italian and italian beef. turkey club was good too. House made chips were fun. This place is very good but its not Blue city deli.

I’m embarrassed by the number of times I’ve eaten at Fozzie’s since living in St. Louis. We have probably tried the entire menu except for the hot dogs– why do you get hot dogs at Fozzie’s? This location is out of the way for us; we usually go to the one on Big Bend. However, I LOVE that there is actually seating in this restaurant. I have eaten outside the other Fozzie’s but there are many instances when it’s just not nice out, and you’ve got to take it to-go. This restaurant also has a living green wall, which is a nice touch, although ¼ of it was dying. I suppose they have this instead of the garden that they have outside of the other location. We got the… Salmon Burger– pleasantly surprised with this one, large salmon patty, well cooked Steak Thyme salad– my go-to salad, packed with meat and chickpeas. Honestly, it’s their best salad. If you live in the area, eat more Fozzie’s!

Went here the 2nd time and had chicken chili, which was solid, and a Reuben, which was also very good. Only complaint with the Reuben was that there was too much Russian dressing on it — I would recommend the dressing on the side if you go this route. My wife got the Pretzel again and it is very good. Service was faster this time, too. It only took about 8 mins for our order.

I love soup/salad/sandwich places. The husband does not, but this is one sandwich place where we can dine together because they also serve burgers. Yay! I’ve been to both Fozzie’s locations(this one and the one in Richmond Heights), and I prefer this one. Richmond Heights has hardly any indoor seating. The dining area here is not very big either, but compared to RH, Des Peres is downright palatial. If you want to skip the details and get right to the five-sentence summary, please start scrolling now. :) Before I accentuate the positive, let me give due attention to the negative: The sandwich and salad portions are pretty big. That’s kind of a good thing because prices can be a bit high. However, sometimes I wish I could get half of something or half of two different things. I’ve been spoiled by chains with their«You Pick 2,» «Craft 2,» and«2 for You» options. As another reviewer mentioned, additional side choices would be nice. You can get soup($ 3.95), slaw($ 1.50), or homemade chips($ 1.50). None of those really excite me. Fruit or a side salad would be good options. Fries would be a great(and sort of expected) side for burgers. Again, just offering half portions would be nice! Most upsetting to me is the drink situation. The drink-to-food ratio sucks. Instead of a soda fountain, they have canned and bottled beverages. They also have a water cooler. It’s not one of those fancy Culligan water coolers; it’s like an Igloo water cooler with a spigot that will leave you asking, «Did I somehow walk onto a football field?» As an American, I am accustomed to ice and unlimited refills. I am not accustomed to paying $ 1 for a 12-oz can of soda and then conservatively drinking it as I plow through my gigantic sandwich. Perhaps a soda fountain wouldn’t really fit in with their sort of green, environmentally friendly theme, but they are selling soda anyway. Just get a soda fountain! On with the positive: I’ve never had a problem with service here. The employees have been friendly and helpful. The food is pretty good. Below is a list of things I’ve had and how I’ve felt about them. –Black Bean Soup– To me, this tasted really bland. Maybe I should have listed this with the negatives. I did not care for it. Maybe I got it on a bad day. I could not get a flattering picture of mine, but if you are interested in checking it out, Jessica P. posted a picture of this soup on the Unilocal page for the Richmond Heights location. The«soup» is extraordinarily thick, and as Jessica P. said, it is more like a dip. –The Big Greek(Salad) — I ordered this with chicken and no onions. I subbed Italian dressing for Greek. This was a nice salad with fresh ingredients that had plenty of chicken and feta. I’m not a lettuce/greens expert, but I believe the salad contained mixed greens. I would have preferred romaine, but that’s just my preference. –The King– This was my first peanut butter, bacon, and banana sandwich EVER. I love peanut butter, but this sandwich was HUGE! I couldn’t finish it. I never thought I would say anything like«This has too much peanut butter.» However, I just kept chewing and chewing. It was enjoyable, but the warm banana was weird to me. Again, that’s just a personal preference, and I wouldn’t have learned that about myself if I had never tried it. –Turkey Club– I wanted the B.A.B.L.T. that is made with a ½ pound of crispy bacon, but I decided that might be too much bacon for me. Instead, I went with the turkey club. This sandwich is described on the menu as «smoked turkey, crispy bacon, tomatoes, lettuce, and basil mayo on hearty wheat.» I had mustard instead of basil mayo. As it turned out, this was a great replacement for the B.A.B.L.T. because it had plenty of bacon. This is my go-to sandwich at Fozzie’s. However, please note the picture I have uploaded here was taken at the other location. –Cluster Fluff– This was a specialty shake that they were offering on one of my visits. I shared it with my husband. It contained chocolate ice cream, peanut butter, marshmallow fluff, and granola. It was pretty awesome, but it was really thick. The granola interfered with the usability of the straw, so you’d also need a spoon for this one. The major downside was that it was $ 4.25 and tiny. Summary: Fozzie’s has some good food. Some things are a bit pricey. Half portions and additional side options would be nice. They definitely could use a soda fountain. If Fozzie’s ever gets one, that might bump this up to 4 stars for me. ;)

Meh about sums it up for this place. I was really looking forward to trying it, not sure why because I don’t do a good job of organizing my bookmarks. I had a falafel sandwich, homemade parmesan chips, a cup of water, and split a brownie with Husband. I am on a falafel kick lately, so have been sampling a lot of falafel around town and this had to be some of the worst. Falafel is supposed to have a little bit of a kick to it and this had no discernible flavor. My sandwich was also poorly made, with too many red peppers and too much spinach to really even taste the three little falafels that were swimming in all of the other stuff. It just tasted like disappointment… The chips were okay and so was the blondie. Also, they really need to spring for a soda fountain. Or brew some iced tea, at least, so they have something to offer thirsty people who want refills. The best thing about this place is the cool wall of plants that they have. We spent most of our meal discussing this; now visually appealing it is and how it works. Reminded us of a building in Madrid, which was a nice memory to enjoy over a mediocre lunch.

The wife said: «this tastes like disappointment» and I’m inclined to agree with her. This was a «meh» experience because I am feeling gracious and they didn’t do anything egregious… unless you count the couple of pieces of excessively wilted lettuce I pulled off my sandwich. Here are the highlights: + Friendly staff. + Cool wall of plants. + The spinach-artichoke dip pairs really well with the Parmesan chips. Here are the lowlights: — Really good tzatziki does not include dill as an ingredient. I know! I checked the Internet and called the Greek Orthodox Church just to be sure. After hearing my question, they wanted to «have a little conversation» with the«sun-za-ma-bitches» that are putting dill in tzatziki and serving it on gyros. Don’t worry Fozzie — I didn’t tell them it was you. Seriously though — dill in tzatziki is the Iranian preparation and really doesn’t belong on Gyros. — Hard little gyros chunks. Not sure who taught them to make gyros that way but it doesn’t work. Not at all. Flavor was decent but consistency was off. Also, an $ 8 gyros should include quite a bit more meat. — Too much crap on the sandwich and not enough gyros. In my book, a proper gyros sandwich involves just 4 things — pita, gyros, onions and tzatziki. For some reason, Fozzie’s felt the need to add the following on top of this sandwich: pepperocini, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, olives and feta cheese. Why? Maybe to hide those weird little chunks of meat. — Soda in cans — seriously?!? — Tried a sample of their baba ganoj. Not good. No smokiness and the addition of black walnuts was strange. I would have been pissed if I had plunked down $ 6.50 for that stuff as a side dish.

I have officially been to both Fozzie’s! I’m super glad they opened another location. Covering more territory means they get more of my business. It’s in a great spot, too. Right off Manchester hits that county demographic just right. It’s also great because there aren’t a lot of quality local eats in this area – I’m not saying at all but in general! This Fozzie’s is way more cleaned up than the original and charming location. It feels a little more like you are at a more established sandwich shop. They have an awesome wall-garden. They have tons of succulents growing on the wall. It’s pretty cool. On this visit, I tried«The Animal.» It comes with«grilled chicken, arugula, portabella & roasted pepper cream cheese on sourdough.» For some reason I overlooked the portabella… this was a novice mistake in my case. I’m not a big fan of portabella and booooy was there a lot. It kind of grosses me out for some reason so that kind of ruined that sandwich for me. I was starving so I still scarfed it down and picked of the copious amounts of portabella. This sandwich is also very greasy so I would avoid if you aren’t ready for something that sits a little heavier in the stomach. This Fozzie’s is the perfect spot for a second location and I hope it succeeds!
