My daughter has had her hair cut here on and off for several years. Never complained. She went in for a wash/trim/dry. At the end she was told there was a long hair charge. Would have been nice to tell her before hand. She has had long hair for 4 plus years and was never told that before. Someone should have told her ahead of time. We will not be going back…

Not worth it! If you need a haircut desperately, as did I, go somewhere else. Between all the interruptions to the cut, additional $ 20 in fees(curly-not! & long), unprofessional behavior and payment fiasco at the end it was not a good experience. Why one star? The woman cutting my hair was nice and apologized for all. Fellow helpers, sorry I didn’t listen to your reviews! You were spot on :)

I would echo the reviews noted here: Stylist did not know how to cut men’s hair. The lack of experience was apparent on more than one instance. E.g. When asked to texturize /thin out hair, a couple of different stylists had to step in and explain.

I’ve been there couple of times, only then my hairstylist wasn’t able to take me and I really needed my hair done. So this time again my hairstylist is out of town and I desperately needed my hair done. I called the salon around 2:20 pm(Sunday) and asked them if they had any opening today for partial highlights and trim. I was told I could come in any time before 3:30 pm. I said ok I could do that so I would like to make an appointment. I was told that It’s not necessary just come in. I get there at 3:20 pm. I noticed right away they were pretty busy. I tell the lady that I called and that I was told to come in. She told me that they can’t take me because they have three people before me and they close at 6. Really??? When I asked her how come she didn’t reserve a spot for me because I called she had absolutely nothing to say in return. What kid of professionalism is that? Now it’s Sunday evening and obviously there is no where else I can go and do my hair. «Thank you» Hair Cuttery! If I worked there and made such a mistake I would tell the client that we apologize for making this mistake but maybe if you could come back in an hour we will take you and stay here after 6pm. They acted like they didn’t care at all in front of all the clients that were in the salon. But I guess they don’t care about their clientele.

I’ve been here twice and both times I’ve had my hair blown dry straight. It’s not my typical salon and I also don’t think of it as a «professional» salon so my expectations are not set high. The think the price is good for having your hair blown dry straight. I personally hate straightening my hair so I prefer to pay to get it done.

i’ve been here a few times over the course of a few years. i’ve never had a good experience, and i always just hope i get a different stylist and i’ll like what she does with my hair. i’ve had three or four different stylists and they were all horrible. i’ve never liked a haircut LESS than the haircuts i’ve gotten here. they don’t listen to anything i ask and they end up charging me all these extra ridiculous fees.

Good hair cut, good color processing. My main complaint is the bait and switch tactic used as prices are quoted and after services are done, the price goes up. Stylist says she forgot that there is a higher price for her services or she added more highlights than originally thought. I ended up being charged $ 15 more than quoted. I just think this is sneaky and I won’t go back to this site.

Worst hair cut experience ever. I’ve left a «quick tip» for this place after my hair cut about 1 year ago. I was traveling around the area again and saw the high reviews for this place. I CAN’T BELIEVEIT! My experience was terrible. I was given a «stylist», very pretty with a Russian/Ukranian/or Polish accent, that had no idea how to cut male hair. She was obviously not trained to style hair or even give a simple hair cut. The entire time she kept asking the stylist next to her if it looked right or if she needed to do more. This was frightening. She was already half-way finished and none of the other stylists stepped in when she asked me if I was getting mad. I said«No», but I was concerned. She started getting misty and continued to cut my hair. I was about to get up, but I felt bad she was close to crying. Instead, I now regret I ever stepped in. I gave her a tip because I knew I was never coming back in and whatever she was dealing with, she shouldn’t be doing this job. AVOID if you are a guy.

It’s worse than a used car dealership. Literally. Being a little tight on money, I decided to go over to Hair Cuttery because I DESPERATELY needed a haircut. I have never — and I’m being completely honest — never gotten a perfect or even a very good haircut here, but against my better judgment I decided to give it another chance. I walk into the salon and tell the front desk girl that I need a haircut. They take my name and a stylist comes and seats me at her station. I tell her I just need a few inches taken off and my layers trimmed. As she’s looking at my hair, she asks me if I’m happy with the color and I inform her that while I know my roots have grown out, I’m not in a position to color my hair right now, and I just want a cut. Then she starts telling me about the different packages that they have. Again, I state that I just the 15.00 wash and haircut. Then she tells me that since my hair is very long, it’s going to be an extra 10.00 to blow dry. Again, I DON’T WANTITBLOWNOUT, I JUSTWANT A HAIRCUT! Then she tells me that she recommends a deep conditioning treatment which costs 7.00. She’s really pushing this conditioning treatment so I reluctantly agree to it thinking 22.00 total is still not too bad for a haircut and I could probably use it. As she’s washing my hair, the manager comes over and says it’s going to be 26.00 for today and I’m thinking, «That’s not right,» but I’ve got my head in the sink and I figure I’ll just straighten it out when I pay. That was dumb. As I sit down for my cut, the stylist starts telling me all about this«wonderful product» that she’s going to be putting on my hair and it’s so great and blah blah blah. I know exactly where this is going and I’m not interested in buying any products. She finishes my haircut and then, of course, leads me over to the products and tries to get me to buy something. I say no. I am annoyed and I really just want to get the %$^$^# out of there. FINALLY I get to the cashier and I’m told it’s going to be 26.00. I say no, 15.00 and 7.00 comes to 22.00. «Well, the manager quoted you 26.00 before we started so it’s going to be 26.00.» I have been haggling with these people for almost an hour and I’m worn out. I pay the 26.00 plus a tip. I have spent twice as much money as I wanted to and I am very unhappy with my experience. Later that night, I take my hair out of the bun I had thrown it up in and lo and behold — THELEFTSIDEISMUCHLONGERTHANTHERIGHTANDTHEHAIRCUTISCOMPLETELYUNEVEN!!! I have to go through and even out all of my layers. I will NEVER, NEVER go back there and I will make sure to tell everyone I know not to EVER go there. The following day, I called and asked for a refund and was told that I could only get a gift card. Great. Now I have this sh*tty gift card for a store that I have no intention of going back to.

I have gone here for a year and now take my two teenage sons there. Sadetta is a wonderful stylist and I trust her completely. Great cut and a wonderful value.

I needed to take my daughter to get her first real hair cut… she’s five and I’ve been cutting it myself, but as good as I might like to think I am, I’m sure that someone who does it for a living is better than me. Anyway, my daughter has wavy hair and it was just about down to her waist, she wants to keep it long but the layers I’d cut were just not looking really good. So we go in and Lauren takes her right away. First of all, she was amazing with my daughter, talked to her about cartoons and princesses and my daughter really liked her. When my daughter’s hair cut was done, she looked amazing, and she felt like a little super star! So I’m talking to her and I think, «I haven’t cut my hair in seven months, I’m here, I might as well!» So I tell Lauren what I want, a trim but I need to have my hair thinned out(I have a ton, and it’s curly). So she cuts, and cuts, and cuts, and I start getting a little nervous… but when she’s done my hair looks great. I’m in shock! I told her to only take a little off and that’s all she did on the length… all that cutting was thinning out my hair — what I asked for. And, I’m at the hair cuttery! But I’ve got to be honest, it was worth more than what I was charged, by far! I only popped in because a friend of mine told me she and her daughter get their hair cut there, while neither of them has layers or curly hair… I figured I would give it a try because their hair does look good. I was really pleasantly surprised! I have another hair dresser, but I never seem to get over to her because she’s in another town and I’m either working or taking my kids to do something, however I may be changing because I can walk here from the train and as long as I get Lauren for my cuts… I think it would be well worth it because she’s just great!
