McAlister’s Deli

Food is good but I’m tired of the 20 year old décor. Please quit pocketing the money and refurbish the interior. The bathrooms are horrible, like going to a dumpy nightclub bathroom. The staff is ok the need direction and experienced manager to make them do their tasks.

My wife and i hadnt eaten at a mcallisters in a while since the closest one to us «suddenly» closed almost overnight… We came across this location and got excited about getting to finally eat here again and be able to slurp down some of that sweet tea we missed for so long… Sadly, the Food was just okay but more importantly extremely disappointed in portion size. Totally not what we remembered from a couple years earlier. We Ordered a salad and sandwich combo (sub’d a club wrap instead of club samich’) order came out wrong but they fixed pretty quick. However, the wrap that was brought out was a joke even for a kids meal. Basically just a tortilla rolled up and then cut in half with not even 2 slices of meat. Immediately sent it back and the correction was no better. This may have put the nail in the coffin four our future visits. Too many local and amazing restaurants in the area to not provide an above average meal.. don’t waste one of your meals out to this place while you stay here… try someplace else.

Great food– fast service– best sweet tea!!! Kids meals are cheap and good– Love their muffuletta sandwich and salads — We will be back:)

I was disappointed with the salad I ordered. They also got my drink order wrong.

This was a good/​poor experience. We went in to pick up dinner to go. The girl that took our order was SUPER friendly. She was so sweet. We placed our order and stepped to the side to wait. And wait. Two girls had come in after us and when they got their order and we still hadn’t we started to wonder if we should say anything. Turns out our order had been bagged with a to-​go order by mistake. The girl at the counter was really apologetic. No big. We get to the car and my husband asks me to make sure his chocolate cake dessert was in the bag. Priorities, right? Wasn’t in the bag so I ran in and got it. Again with the apologies. We get to our hotel room and the deli sandwich that I had ordered had been heated through and through. Gross. Wasn’t asked if this is what I wanted and it was honestly inedible to me. My husband, on the other hand, really liked his baked potato. So two stars for the friendliness and his baked potato, but other than that the experience wasn’t so great.

We always enjoy going to McAlister’s because the food is consistently good, and the tea is fabulous. The staff in Destin is very polite, the facility is clean and the food comes out the way you ordered it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a quality sandwich shop. The chipotle chick sandwich is quite tasty.

Came for brunch and somewhat disappointed. I ordered their French dip sandwich with jalapeño chips and sweet tea. There were little amount of meat and the cheddar cheese were virtually non existence! The McAlister’s in Valdosta, Ga. is way better. Won’t come back here again.

Can’t recommend this particular McAlister’s.
While I was ordering 2 people had to bring food back because it was wrong or cold. The manager provided friendly service and actually remembered me even though I haven’t been in this location in well over 5 years. The other employess however seemed very unhappy, no smiles, no energy just blah! My food was also pretty blah. It’s a shame really, I used to enjoy it here.

How can you go wrong if you dont like what you ordered… just tell JOE (the manager) and he will glady get you something different — free of charge.
I was eating my dinner and soup, Joe came around and asked me how everything was — I told him «well my soup wasnt filled up to the top of the bowl» but everything else is great. He came back out with another bowl of soup! GREAT SERVICE — GREAT BUSINESS… This is my favorite place to eat.
