Model T Automotive Heritage Complex T-Plex

Great piece of history being preserved here. I was really impressed by the knowledge of the tour guide. I figured this was going to be about a quick 20 minute walk thru tour. turned out to be very interesting and ended up here for close to two hours. many one of a kind autos on display, plus the history of how and why the building was built is fascinating. well worth the ten dollar admission, sometimes on groupon for half off. the neighborhood is also showing a few signs of life also.

Yes, the location of this museum is in an economically depressed area. If personal security is of importance, then be aware that the visitor can park in the secure inner courtyard. As far as I know this bldg is the only remaining early Detroit automotive factory is existence. Plan to spend some time here as there are a number of exhibits which are a time magnet. The museum is still a work in development; the automobiles on exhibit belong to private citizens so each model may or may not be displayed. The movie is a introductory must; the tour guide is a wealth of information. If you enjoy just standing in a place of historical importance, then this place is another must see. PS down the street is the bldg which housed the Fisher Body plant and next door was the Studebaker plant.
