They have good miso soup and sushi rolls. But the Veg Thai curry I tried was stale. It was also not very hot when served. Therefore taking 2 stars out from my rating. Restaurant’s ambiance is good.

We went for Christmas dinner and the food was great but the service was exceptional! We had the best conversation with the waiter about films and books. Loved it!

Not totally sure I understand the low rating. Their menu is quite large so it’s possible some of the items are not quite as good, but from my experience the sushi was good. Living in LA I have high standards and don’t hand out 5s very often, but the fish was good quality and solid cuts of fish. Recommend the sushi/sashimi and Thai fire soup.

If your within 10 minutes and you want sushi for lunch then this gets a 3 ½. Service: Awesome. Gentleman was very attentive and knew when to stop at the table. Atmosphere: good for lunch. Ok for dinner. Food: I got the lunch special which was three rolls for $ 14. The sushi was solid but not amazing. The salmon was much better than the tuna. If this place has 15 minutes away I would rather go to Wegmans even though it was more expensive.

I have eaten lunch here twice, and also had their sushi for takeout once. They were not very busy today: our party of 3 was seated immediately at Noon. The dining room remained mostly empty, and there was no one at the sushi bar. As such, service was extremely prompt and we were well-attended to – water glasses stayed filled! Everyone’s orders were correct and well-timed. I had some difficulty deciding on what to order, as I adore Asian food and the menu offers a vast variety, including many similar«special» sushi rolls. I started with the Thai Fire Pot Soup with shrimp, which was spicy(but not unbearable — I thought it was perfect) and SO tasty. This was followed by the delicious Infinity Roll. The rice was just OK; however, the layers of flavors and textures and the quality of the ingredients were all on point. I also sampled the Rainforest Roll — also good, but I preferred the former. For dessert I had the Cappuccino Truffle. I enjoyed the taste but the gelato was very soft, like it was melting. I also tried a couple bites of the Limoncello Raspberry Cake, which was heavenly. Overall we were all quite pleased with this dining experience, and would return. Side note: I should mention that the aforementioned takeout order was screwed up. One sushi roll was forgotten but paid for, and they were«unable» to deliver it, so someone had to go back to get it. Just be sure you check your bag before you leave.

I enjoyed the food. The only thing is the servers did not smile. :-(- Smile when you serve!

Awesome Asian fusion! I love the«Spice Girl Roll» with blackened Tuna and Avacodo inside and Simon on outside. Special happy hour everyday with $ 4 wine and $ 5 bottle of sake… Rolls for $ 4 and so many other things. Truly an amazing family owned comfortable or special occasions(dressy or casual) or just a small bite after work with friends.

Asian fusion in the suburbs. Inside is nice and spacious. Service is good. Food is what it is. Sushi can be hit or miss, but overall its pretty good. Obviously better sushi can be found in the area, but a good place with groups since they have a wealth of options(Thai, japanese, etc.)

Have only been here for lunch, but food has been consistently good. I generally either go with one of their bento boxes or the crispy chicken so can’t comment on their sushi. Portion sizes are pretty decent and often times I end up taking left overs back to the office for lunch the next day. It can be a little pricey for lunch, but given that I tend to make two lunches out of it, it ends up not being too bad. Service has always been pretty good, but wouldn’t mind if it was a tad quicker. Nice spacious restaurant and well decorated. Not a bad place to try if you are in the area.

Stopped in for lunch and had a great grilled salmon meal. Service was quick and friendly. Atmosphere was good for a business meeting or just a casual get-away. This is a keeper and a favorite in my Garmin. They have a huge sushi menu so gotta try that next soon.

The restaurant is spacious and well decorated. The service depends on the server you get. I’ve gotten awful service(sat 20 min and had to ask for a serve to come bring us menus) to good, attentive service. The reason for the 2 stars is that the food just isn’t that good anymore. It used to be much better, but now the food is just not tasty. The last time we ate there, we had the Pad Thai, which didn’t have any peanuts or sprouts, and wasn’t very good, and the drunken noodle, which tasted pretty much just like the not-so-tasty Pad Thai. I would recommend going somewhere else.

I enjoy how this place is decorated. It is also very spacious so you will not be bumping into people as you get to and from your table. I was here during lunch and to my surprise, it was not as crowded as I though it would be. Our waiter was super nice, joked with us and very helpful. Your water will also never be empty. The first time I had the sushi here was kind of disappointing. The rice was a bit dry so it was hard and almost falling off the roll. The second time I had the Adorable Roll $ 16(spicy salmon, yellowtail, crunchy and avocado inside, topped with slices of tuna, white tuna, black and red tobiko). The rice this time was nicely textured and this roll is just delicious! I want another one! For my main entrée I had the Malaysian Sambal Sauce with Baby Shrimp from the lunch menu. I don’t think I’ve ever had Malaysian Sambal sauce and I don’t really like it much. The shrimp was nicely cooked but the sauce was way too sweet for my taste. For dessert, we had the Limoncello Raspberry Cake $ 5.50(layers of limoncello soaked sponge cake filled with lemon cream and raspberry marmalade, decorated with a raspberry miroir and white chocolate piping) This was really good! I would have enjoyed a bigger piece but it was still nice.

When I decided to add one more sushi restaurant to my list, I hadn’t realized that I had eaten here before, about 5 years ago before I became a Unilocaler. So allow me to make up for lost time. The Thai Fire Pot soup… I realize it is supposed to be spicy, but the spice overpowers the flavor a bit. It actually made it tough to enjoy. I sampled several maki rolls. I enjoyed the spicy shrimp and tuna avocado rolls. The spicy salmon and spicy tuna however were indistinguishable from each other and lacking spice. The size of the rolls were slightly small compared to what I can get elsewhere. Price-wise, they had three rolls with soup for $ 14 for lunch. I can get that $ 2 cheaper nearby. It wasn’t bad though. The service was quick and friendly. It has its good points. But I won’t rave about it.

My 9 year old asked me to say this first… «They have very cold bathrooms». The ladies rooms was FREEZING. Luckily the rest of the dining room was warm. Service was unobtrusive and fine. Décor is very lovely. Food? Not so fresh. I had a hamachi sushi lunch special($ 17) and the 4 pieces of nigiri 2 tasted off. 9 year old’s shu mai(8 pieces) and california roll were fine — maybe even 4 star. Our friend’s Drunken noodles were not terribly spicy but very tasty. If I ever return I will order cook dishes and not get sushi again here. Which is a shame because I love good sushi. Note: We returned a few weeeks later(for business lunch) and I had tofu pad Thai(lunch special $ 11 with a green salad) and it was fine. Good but not mindblowing. Full bar.

Took a business associate here for dinner recently. Pro’s — nice room, decent service, location, room to spread out and time/quiet enough to have a conversation compared to some of the busier spots along 202⁄252. The sushi was a little worse than ok, but not bad. Sushi requires good fish, yes, but at the end of the day, its about the rice the how things are pulled together. The fish here was ok, but not remarkably fresh and some was too cold, the rice was subpar. Beer and liquor selections appeared to be limited.

We went for a birthday party and could not have asked for more. The décor was very nice and relaxing. The dining area was spacious. The servers were very attentive and friendly and didn’t rush us. My sister knows sushi and she said it was ok, which means it was very good. She is hard to please. My only complaint was my peking duck was a bit overcooked, but being that this is not a duck house, I can understand that. They can’t plan a meal that takes 2 hours to cook. I understand. And my wraps were a bit dry. Everyone else enjoyed their meals. The water was refilled quickly. Everything was just as would be expected of a high end restaurant like this. For the price, if something was wrong there would be a problem and I went in with high expectations and was not disappointed. If I could give them 4.5 stars for the duck I would but I strayed to the 5 stars because the food and service was really excellent. And I always wonder where people are eating when they give a place like this 1 star.

Shangri-La this is not, but it was a lunch oasis in the middle of giant turkey sandwich country for my colleague and me, both weary after a long client meeting and needing respite and refuel before our 2 hour drive home. After this meeting, there were two objectives: we needed Thai food. And, we needed said Thai food to be on our way back to Jersey City. Enter Shangri-La. As soon as we sat down, it became obvious that the restaurant focuses on Chinese and Japanese fare(always suspicious when it’s the combo approach), with only a smattering of Thai items offered on the menu. So, we figured we would take cue from the happy diners around us and mix it up a bit. We ordered two sushi rolls(eel, tuna, and avocado roll and futomaki roll) and my colleague’s favorite, drunken noodles with chicken. The rolls were quite good — both presentation-wise and in terms of taste. The futomaki was especially impressive, as the pickled kampyo(gourd) and shiitake tasted just like my mom’s. [Clearly my benchmark for futomaki from now until forever.] The drunken noodles, however, were a little sad. The noodles were overcooked and soggy. The flavor wasn’t there. And for a dish marked as «spicy», nary a capsaicin molecule was found. We had to flag down a waiter for what felt like 5 minutes to request a small tray of hot sauce. Sometime before the drunken noodles were finished, the aforementioned absent-minded waiter came and plopped the check down on the table. He did not offer coffee or dessert or any additional drinks. We found this somewhat surprising, as the restaurant was by no means full, and there were waiters standing blithely by. They had the perfect opportunity to offer us more to eat or drink but did not. Service and restaurant management 101, as we were already captive customers in their seats. 3 stars because of the decent sushi and the fact that this restaurant is in a Thai food desert.

Overall, pretty good experience but the food racks up a pretty good bill as well. ~$ 60 for two people(includes a beer & dessert) The regular rolls are so-so, but the specialty rolls are delicious and worth your money. In particular the Sexy Spider Roll was my favorite and I made it disappear in seconds, magician that I am.

Okay sushi. I think it’s one of the better sushi places outside of philly where the salmon is super fresh. I’m not sure how I really feel about the food I got the tuna avocado, rainbow, and spicy tuna rolls. I also got the calamari.
