I am writing this review as a former faculty member. I will preface, by saying I LOVED all the students there! They came to their lessons ready and willing to learn. In my opinion, this school is in existence to make great profits. At the beginning, I was promised many things as a faculty member and was encouraged to develop several artistic ideas. When it came down to reality though, the school was not willing to help develop these ideas and ultimately, no ideas came to fruition. The faculty was instructed to not form any communications(no talking to the family!) with the student’s family members. I find this impossible, as I personally NEED to speak with parents to review assignments and give verbal progress reports on a weekly basis. The assistant«boss» has a lot of quirks. On one occasion, I was preparing my students for one of their recitals and the«boss» appeared and demanded I train the student to position themselves on stage a certain way. I would not go along with that command, because the«boss» was«training the student in an amateurish manner. I have a 30+ professional career and have performed with some of the world’s finest orchestras. I KNOW how someone should be situated on stage! One of the last straws for me, was when the«boss» made a horribly racist comment against Chinese people. I figure, if someone(head of the company) can make a racist comment like they did, against an ethnic group which forms 40%+ of their customer base, must not have much regard for their students. Just money. I do not want to have ANYTHING to do with people who are racist. Although the students were amazing to teach, the environment for the faculty was quite stressful and not enjoyable. It’s like a façade. You walk into the school and everything«looks» good and in place. If you stay around for awhile, you’ll find this school to be speckled with pretensions. And lastly, unless the«bosses» have a 2nd job, they seem to be using a chunk of Orchepia money to buy Mercedes S-Class/SUV’s and designer clothing. Most of my colleagues,(unless they play in the Boston Symphony, LA Philharmonic), don’t drive around in luxury vehicles. Some of the teachers at this school were very nice and caring. I would not recommend this school because of the way it is structured. I recommend finding a private teacher instead.

Everything is bad here. The staff seems useless. I don’t think owner is doing good job in hiring. The theory lesson is useless. I guess owner just want to get more money from parents. Stop going to this school and get a private teacher to your house! Or go to other music school!

If «indifference» was a customer service award, this place would win. Like Tina and Scott, reviewers before me, this is base on me walking in and asking for information only … Again, «indifference», pretty much sums it up. Pretty complete description. So just for kicks, this is what I would have like to have seen. (Big smile) Hi, welcome! Are you interested in our classes? Sure, I can help! In matter of fact, let me give you a tour. This is why we are great, we have wonderful facilities, great teachers, etc. Here’s our brochure with more info and cost. Do you have any questions? Please don’t hesitate to contact us. Hope you’ll choose our school. Have a great day! Yeah, none of that happened. Must not like people, her job, or money. If anyone goes there, I’m curious on how the teachers are, if they’re like the front desk ladies. Thumbs down, but as always let me know what you think.

Very lousy on service. They should change the front desk Filipino lady if they wish to gain new customers.
