YMCA Diamond Bar-Walnut Family

I am the mother of a kindergarten child who graduated from LAUP preschool and daycare here. She had attended a local family based daycare for years before and honestly I wish I had brought her here much sooner. In fact, if not for a change in my work arrangements she AND her old sister would be attending this location for their current after school care.
My daughter really blossomed academically and socially here with teachers Ms. Berenice, Ms. Karina, Ms. Maria, Ms. Alexis and Mr. Giovanni to just name a few. The executive director, Ms. Tracy, is very friendly, helpful and approachable. I was really pleased with the focus on learning that was balanced by creative and active play along with a lot of games, arts and physical activity. I still get teared up when I recall the sweet Mothers Day bunch and performance that they learned and memorized under the guidance of their teachers! They offer several activities, healthy snacks and field trips.
It’s an older facility that could use some updating but for Los Angeles or Orange County commuting parents it is in a good location off the 57 freeway near the 60 & 10 freeway merges. As working parent I recommend this preschool and daycare highly. The care and education they invest in the kids has really shown in how successful my daughter has been in transitioning to Kindergarten & I thank the team at the YMCA Diamond Bar @ Sunset Crossing for being her preschool providers.

I am really pleased with this location my kids love it there! They seem to really care for the children and do what’s in the best interest of their learning they are kind, respectful and my son is doing really well academically and I know it’s because of their teaching methods. Miss Bernice, one of the preschool teachers has really been awesome for my son he really responds well to the type of learning there and I see that in such a short time he’s progressed academically. I’ve always heard mixed reviews about this location but in my experience it’s really top-​notch! I highly recommend it!

Don’t waste your money signing up your kids to play soccer at this place! The staff is SO Unorganized, they don’t follow the correct guidelines to teach the kids the proper way to play sports and older kids play the smaller kids! Never again will I sign up my daughter to play any sport at this place!
