I’ve used Miles for quite a few years. But the service in the last while has been difficult and challenging. The older woman who answers the phone sounds confused half the time, and has messed up dates and times with service people coming to my home. The dispatcher after being told what my suite number is, got my suite number wrong, so a plumber shows up, knocks on the wrong door and thinks I’m not at home. Meanwhile I was been waiting around for hours. They don’t hold to their schedule time either. I’ve waited many times for hours, only to phone them to be told no one can come over that day. I will no longer be using Miles Plumbing for anything. The actual service people do a good job. None of this is their fault. The office staff need to be more diligent and responsible or be replaced.

OVERPRICED they came to my house to do a plumbing job they were not able to finish it so they had to return at a later date. I was billed $ 1400 for the first initial job. I was told the return visit would be a simple quick job and wouldn’t take too long. So I agreed for them to come back to replace the stop and supply to the toilet and rebuild tub and shower valve. They also checked my water pressure in the kitchen. All this I was told would be a minor quick job. I didn’t think I would get charged for travel time AGAIN! To my surprise I get a bill for over three hundred dollars and was rudely told that it was for one hour for the plumber and I ALSO had to pay his apprentice for an hour. So I am billed for TWO hours for something that one plumber could have done in less then an hour. So I guess YOU as a customer have to pay for the apprentice to learn his trade. I called and tried to reason with them and their secretary was rude and loud and one hell of a B*tch. I am assuming this is the older secretary as their younger who I had spoken to at an earlier date was very nice. They did a great job initially but misinformed me as to their return visit and then overcharged me for something that could have been taken care of quickly the first time. If you hire them make sure to ask them how many people are going to be working on your job and also if you live far from them realize that YOU will be charged for TRAVEL time there and back!!! I should have dropped out of college and become a plumber, from the looks of it they make more than a doctor.
