The Crags Campground is AWESOME! It is quiet and perfectly situated so you can hike about 2 miles to The Crags, or begin your Pikes Peak adventure from here as well. Each camping spot has a table and a metal ringed fire pit. Probably about 90% of the spots are along a mellow little stream. There are also fresh water hand pumps located at various spots around the campground. Most of the sites are wooded/shaded. This summer a mother-daughter have teamed up to be the campground hosts. They are over the top nice and even brought us a couple of pieces of firewood at sunset. Just head south on Hwy 67 from Divide, the turn off is about 4.3 miles from Hwy 24(on the east side of the road). Drive for about 1.5 miles and turn right at the Mennonite campground to stay on Teller County Rd. 62. Just another 1.5 miles until you reach the campground. It will be just after the The Crags trailhead. You can also hike to The Crags from the campground itself. Just follow the road up through the campground to the end, and there is a trailhead there as well. Some will recognize this as the original Crags trailhead.
